Beautiful and moderately challenging course. The sand traps are tough lol! The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Love this course, and always look forward to the weekends so I can play. 02/15/2016 Update: Had to lower my rating because of the changes to the landscape they are making. For some reason, they have removed several trees, bushes, and other greenery which added to the tranquility of the course. They have removed this landscape and then run it through a mulcher, so you are left viewing half shredded trees(because they didn’t completely cut them down) and large piles of wood chips along with piles of branches etc. and it’s not attractive. The fourteenth tee box looks more like a refuse for yard debris than a place you play golf. The course has been in this state for months, and they continue to remove more, and do little clean up. Also, the heavy machinery they are using destroys the grass and leaves heavy deep imprints, which are frequently muddy, which again, they don’t repair. It’s particularly bad on the back nine. My husband and I play every weekend end, and suffice it to say, we now play elsewhere.

Very rude in the pro shop will never play there! My husband booked through golf now and when he showed up for his tee time they never asked for his name only told him it was impossible that he had a tee time and walked away from him.

Conveniently located to where we were visiting, Beau Rivage offers comfort and a great looking golf course– although we did not have time to play here– with a pretty sweet golf stay and play(I think it was $ 23/person/round). The rooms are large, but a bit Spartan and tired looking, very dated in style – something out of the early 80’s. The bed was quite comfortable but would be over the top nice if they replaced the foam pillows with down. There was plenty of room to spread out and the couch pulls out into a bed. It appears all the rooms are all suites. We did not dine here, but friends who did stated that the offerings were plenty and the breakfast was very good. We stayed in a ground floor unit and when people were walking above us, you could hear every step. Fortunately, they had the same sleeping pattern as us, but if you are staying here, you might want to consider an upper unit. The TV was pretty basic and not sure it even offered true HD. I was very surprised the TV did not offer the golf channel, being it is as golf resort. The free wi-fi was a bit sluggish, but did the job.

No markers on the course, at least we couldn’t find any. The greens were inconsistent. I thought it was expensive considering the condition of the course.

We’ve been playing Beau since we moved to Wilmington(4 years) and have always enjoyed it. The course iis fun, the staff courteous. I particularly like the blind holes and the one over the lake. Who cares if the GPS on the carts work well or not(never had a problem). Those that do are nit pickers.

My partner and I chose this hotel because of the affordability of the rooms and location. Keep in mind we do not golf and booked this place strictly based on price per night, 85 $ for a king non smoking room and proximity to the beach. Room was clean and had a brand new sealy pillow top mattress. No issues with desk staff they were courteous and professional. When compared with the beach side villas, town homes, and hotels nearby this place is a steal. We were a short 10 min drive from public beach access and the room was clean, comfy, and affordable. My partner and I are on a budget but still wanted to enjoy Carolina/Kure Beaches and all they have to offer the general public. I’ve stayed at high end hotels/resorts before and this isn’t one of those places. But if you need a comfy, clean room close to the beach and affordable give it a shot. You don’t have to be an avid golfer to enjoy this place!

Played there today. Had to wait for every shot, at least 5mins each time. GPS run golf carts suck. Heard they are in financial trouble, I can see why. Unless every other course in the area is closed, will not play there again.

This place was disgusting. The owner was the cook and the waitress and the most rude and obnoxious hotel staffer I’ve ever dealt with. We booked for 3 nights and left after 30 minutes. Room linens were dirty. Bathroom had hair and dead bugs. Food at the restaurant was terrible. They were understaffed like I said. I paid $ 499 for the 3 nights to include food and they still have not refunded.

I’ve played this course several times when visiting the area. Course is challenging, staff are courteous, and prices reasonable — and you might see an alligator or two!
