Booked –prepaid– through Hotwire. That was my first mistake. The hotel is dirty, the room is absolutely filthy and there appear to be a lot of homeless people housed in this place. Four days into a 5-day sentence in this dump & the ENTIRE hotel has no hot water. The wretchedly incompetent front desk clerk lied & told me that I had to let the water run for 10 minutes, because the«hotel is old & the hot water is on a ‘loop’.» THREEHOURS later, and there still is NOHOTWATER. The buffoon at the front desk claimed that hot water would be restored«within the hour,» but she has told that lie for the last TWOHOURS. How does a ‘hotel’ remain open without hot water? I guess sanitation & public health laws are non-existent in North Carolina. How are the employees washing their hands –if at all? This is by far the single most disgusting place I have ever had the displeasure of frequenting. Save yourself the hassle &AVOIDTHISDUMP!

The only saving grace of this place is the affordability. Our room smelled so much like stagnant moldy grossness that we left our door propped open the majority of the time we were there and bought incense to burn. We chose this place because they allowed pets. I felt equally bad that the dog had to sleep here. Spend the extra money to stay somewhere else.

A cheap hotel located close to the beach with free ice and free breakfast. My husband and I stayed here for 1 one night. We spent most of our time at the beach and exploring the area. I had no issue with check in or check out. My room wasn’t anything special but you get what you pay for. They have an outside pool although we never used it. They allow animals to stay as well. My room didn’t smell and was clean upon arrival. I was happy to get free ice to fill the cooler before we left to the beach. We had a small mini fridge to keep food/drinks cold.

Only thing nice about this hotel/motel was the room, the breakfast was just cereal and wrapped up muffins and then you make your own waffles no big deal. My mom requested a certain room and got something different, they false advertise on their website. We were not impressed luckily we only stayed for one night

Roach motel! We checked in at around 7 tonight and by 9:30 we had seen 4 cockroaches. The lady at the main desk also refused to give us a full refund(they gave us half). Very grossed out and unimpressed.

My negative experience with this hotel started the moment I checked in. There were two people at the front desk-a man playing on his cell phone, and a woman absolutely DESTROYING a foot long from Jersey Mike’s. Here are my issues in no particular order: The overall appearance of the building is AWFUL. There was exposed rust all over the place, and there was duct tape peeling off on the underside of our staircase. Also, there was an open bag of trash by the entrance to our floor that was there from the time we checked in(4pm Saturday) until we checked out(12pm Sunday). A walk of the grounds ever hour or two wouldn’t hurt: You can’t advertise and sell a room with a king-size bed, then have a queen in the room. I have a king-size bed at home and know what one should look like. I went to plug in my cell phone, and the outlet was not attached to the wall, which doesn’t seem safe: Where is the elevator? This is a three story hotel!!! With so many competing hotels in the area, you’d think you would at least try to do your best at maintaining yours a lot better.

Great breakfast selection. Clean and quiet rooms. The a/c worked very well. Cookies at check-in. Not bad for the price.

First of all, you pay for what you get. This was one of the cheaper hotels I found when looking for a hotel with an outdoor pool so I wasn’t expecting much. The pros: continental breakfast(waffle maker, hello!), the pool, the friendly staff, location. The cons: the smell of the room/air conditioner(not sure which it was coming from), uncomfortable beds(must be tired when entering!). All in all, I wasn’t visiting North Carolina to stay in my room all day, so the smell/bed didn’t bother me as much. I’ve paid more for better, however, I’ve definitely seen worse. FYI — If you want your linens laundered daily, you must put the sign on your pillows to let them know!

First impressions count, and when we opened the door to our nonsmoking room to be greeted with the overpowering smell of mildew, we knew that we just wasted $ 100 on this room. That impression was further confirmed by the blankets which look to have not been cleaned in a long time, as they were visibly dirty and had hair on them. The bathroom was not clean either. The one reason I picked this hotel over the others is some reviews claimed the breakfast was great, well I can confirm that it is not. It is standard muffins, cereal, and make your own waffles fare. I do like waffles, but for whatever reason they only have one waffle maker, and the line was 6 deep. I waited in line for 20 minutes to make a damn waffle as the people in front of me were making 3 or 4 of them! I learned my lesson, and will not stay here again, it’s worth it to spend maybe $ 20 more and get a much better hotel!
