Sat night dinner was great. Hidden gem. Not crowded. Great pianist! Good food, but not cheap. Service was fine although i know they have lighter coverage on weekdays. Easy in and out, covered entrance, big lot. I enjoy this place, and had the best lamb chops ever! PS: great golf course attached!

I can only review this restaurant in a categorized way, since I visited for a special occasion brunch. The food was mostly buffet style with different stations but you also had the opportunity to order food like French toast, Eggs Benedict, etc… from the kitchen. The food was what you would expect from a holiday brunch with a large expected crowd. Decent quality and respectable variety of options. Staff was friendly and courteous, including our server.

This is a hidden gem! My absolute favorite go to place ever! The food is always fabulous, no matter what you get. Love the beer selection and wine too… The atmosphere is usually quiet except when the piano man is there, which is very enjoyable. When I want to peaceful meal, I go there just to kick back, relax and enjoy! Never any kids, and no hassle that you get from other overcrowded restaurants. The staff is always friendly and talkative. Sunday brunch is absolutely outstanding, and it’s a great value!

The food is delicious and never disappoints. The service, however, was one of the worst I’be ever experienced for such a high-end restaurant. We were served by Kasey who had 2 tables – ours and a large 8-top table next to ours. Her focus was completely on the larger table. It took 20 mins from the time we sat down to be offered drinks. It took another e 30 mins before bread was brought to table. We were not offered water – we had to ask for it. Kasey did not take our dinner order until we had completely finished our appetizers and the table had been cleared. Kasey never returned to clear our dinner plates or deliver our bill – she had another waitress finish our table for her. We were celebrating a birthday last night – as was the large table – and I was completely disappointed. Not sure I’ll go back. I expect far better service when I’m running a $ 120 tab

RJ and I stopped here to celebrate our winnings at the Kentucky Derby! It’s a beautiful bar, and if it was nicer weather I would have loved to sit on the deck. We had good service at the bar, and there was a very talented piano player playing right next to us. I would love to come back to try the menu, it looked fantastic!

I might have given this place a 4 but it’s so expensive and I don’t think it’s quite worth the price. We had some pot sticker appetizer and some kind of fish in a chip. I had the salmon which was good but rice was uncle ben’s, I’m pretty sure. It’s a fancy place with a nice atmosphere though.

I frequent this place often for happy hours after work, and the drink deals are excellent. I have eaten at the bar and outside, but last week sat in the main dining room for the first time. I was with a party of 8, and everyone was happy with what they had. Almost all of us had the lobster risotto as an add on. I have had better, as this was a little too dense. However, it did have a good taste. I had the NY strip, and it was cooked a perfect medium. The quality of the steak was ok, but maybe I am spoiled since I was at But cher and Singer 4 days before. In my opinion there was too much fat on the steak for a NY strip. The side of mac n cheese was excellent. My girlfriend had the short ribs and scallops and they were excellent. I would get this the next time I go back. We had the cookie with ice cream for dessert and this was a great ending. I have no complaints about the food or service. The menu is a little pricey, and I feel I can get a better steak for a better price at Firebirds.

We stopped in for lunch before heading out to play 18. Each of us were happy with our choices, which included a cheeseburger, some sort of shrimp puffs, spinach dip(needed more pretzel sticks for the amount of dip though), a crock of French Onion Soup(which my son raved about) and a cheese board which wasn’t bad for $ 10. We were happy with the bar as well. We enjoyed a good Bloody Mary, Tequila Sunrise and Jack and Ginger. Not bad over all. We will be back.

Same food served at Rail is served at the much cheaper Legends(in Casino). Difference is the plating is fancier and in the case of the crab cake they add a drizzle of a zippy creole remoulade. The remoulade makes the crab cake! The lobster bisque I had was a huge disappointment though as it was scorching(microwave nuked) hot, flavorless and mushy(lobster). I faired better with the Sun Chaser Martini. The drink was a delightful mix of coconut rum, pomegranate liquor, pineapple juice and simple syrup. They are flexible w/sides so I opted for mashed potatoes and spinach — both were well executed. An amuse bouche of crab and roma tomato bruchetta on crostini was a nice surprise, however the dominate taste was salty and fishy. I loved the cozy pub feel with the ornate wood carved bar and green cushy chairs. The pianist was also a classy touch and the fact that he was competing w/a DJ or band outside was unfortunate. Overall the Rail offers a decent meal but for the price I’m not sure I’m «wowed» enough for a return.

The food was great. Our two servers were the worst! They did not offer coffee or tell us about the options you could order from the kitchen. Was our first and last time here.

Excellent service, creative menu, well mannered dining room manager, superior wine list, and overall an incredible dinner. So glad we chose it! The duck breast in blueberry reduction was perfectly prepared with lightly crispy skin, paired with an oregon pinot noir. THISISWHERE I WANTTORETURNTO!

been several times for dinner and always enjoyed. Menu has improved and the service and ambiance is very pleasant. Highly recommend for a nice dinner and/or cocktail. One of the classier and most consistent options in the area to be sure.

I have eaten at the Rail several times over the past couple of years. It makes for a nice place to go for a business lunch being so close. i have seen a few changes to the menu and offerings as far as specials. Consistently there is a good service and pleasant staff. There has been a «no jeans» dress code for the restaurant, but not sure how much this is enforced. The soups are excellent. The French onion soup is rich and flavorful with a rich broth and sweet onions. The cheese is thick and tasty with a nice crust formed at the edge of a classic porcelain mini-turine. The crab chowder is rich and a thick creamy soup with small crab chunk. For soups i prefer smaller crab chunks to allow a nice taste of crab without being large pieces that crowd out the broth on the spoon. This s a nicely balanced soup. The lobster bisque is excellent and competes with the triple cheese french onion for my favorite soup from the Rail. The bisque is rich, smooth, and thick with a strong lobster flavor. It is a wonderful well made soup. Salads are standard, however, the combination on the Rail salad is a nice mix. Not exactly a light salad given the cheese and fried corn kernels. But it is a nice fresh salad with crisp fresh greens and good quality cheese. You can obtain toppings of different meat options. The tuna served at the Rail is fresh and fairly standard, nothing wowing about it. However, it is fresh so that is better then most places. The lobster mac and cheese is a great dish but a bit heavy for a working lunch. The cheese is thick, rich, and quite flavorful. Lobster chunks are sweet and soft and interspersed throughout the dish. The elbow macaroni is well cooked and soft without dried out portions from the baking. Overall I enjoy my meals at The Rail, usually related to work times. The soups are well made and several dishes are consistently high quality. However, not sure if I would venture to the Rail over other places if it were not for the close proximity to work.

Having just closed on a new home last night, my aunt and uncle wanted to take me for a celebration dinner. They suggested At the Rail(more commonly referred to as just«The Rail»). I’d never been, so I gladly accepted their generous offer. I perused the menu online, but wasn’t terribly impressed. However, we arrived and saw the menu was nothing like that which was presented online; they must have had a recent update! The menu as presented to us seemed much more modern and befitting this gorgeous, by-the-golf-course view we were treated to as the sun began to set. We were promptly seated in big comfy chairs and our party was greeted by a very cheerful waitress who took our drink orders immediately. We decided on three appetizers to share among the five of us: calamari, hummus, and a salmon spring roll. The calamari was basic. Nothing fancy. It was well executed, not greasy, and served with a tasty, chunky tomato sauce. Crisp and meaty, it was how calamari should be. Extra points for including some spicy-sweet sauteed peppers among the crunchy cephalopods. Honestly, those peppers were just as good as the calamari. Unfortunately, whoever plated the hummus could have used some help as it just looked a mess. We could barely differentiate between the hummus and the pita wedges provided, both of which were hidden under a flurry of chopped Kalamata olives, cucumber, feta cheese, and, yes, avocado(huh? Actually, it was quite a delicious addition!). The hummus was OK. It was missing — I think — a good bit of tahini to give it a creamier texture, as well as a big squeeze of lemon to cut through some of the pastiness of the chickpeas. But it was seasoned very nicely and I swear I got a hint of oregano, which pleased me. The salmon spring roll blew us all away. It was a perfectly cooked piece of salmon, wrapped in a wonton, and deep-fried. Served with a spicy-sweet dipping sauce, there was nearly a riot at our table over who would get the biggest piece. For my entrée, I ordered the chorizo-stuffed chicken breast. I know, it’s not a great idea to judge a restaurant based on its chicken dish. As a somewhat health-conscious eater, it seemed like the most suitable choice on the menu. The chicken was overcooked, no doubt. And I perhaps should have asked the style of chorizo before ordering. I have an unhealthy obsession with fatty, greasy, Mexican-style chorizo and figured it would be stuffed as such. However, I was somewhat let down to find it was stuffed with Spanish-style, sausage-like chorizo. It was tasty, yes, but it just wasn’t what I expected. Served with the chicken were Cheddar smashed potatoes and sauteed spinach with garlic, both cooked and served very nicely. The potatoes in particular were unbelievably creamy and cheesy; the spinach, not overcooked and just appropriately garlicky to satisfy this garlic lover. I also tried my aunt’s crab cake. Decent. Mostly lump and very little filler. Nice size, too. My mother order the beef short ribs paired with scallops, artichokes hearts, and a butternut squash purée. I found the purée to be too reminiscent of baby food and just overall lacking in flavor. Because we couldn’t pass up dessert, we ordered something that I just simply can’t resist whereever I see it – seven-layer bar! Yep, a seven-layer bar topped with vanilla ice cream was all mine. And it was excellent. I won’t get into the details of the seven-layer bar. That’s what Google is for. All I’ll say is they’re a divine combination of graham crackers, butter, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, condensed milk, and coconut. My aunt got the banana chocolate cake, which was also good. All around, an enjoyable meal that could have been helped along with a little more tact in presentation, as well as improving one’s ability to appropriately cook a chicken breast. But that was my fault. Going into a classy joint like The Rail, one should probably look past such pedestrian menu items like chicken and go straight for the haute cuisine!
