Stay away! I had to find new doctor because my beloved ob retired and I was FINALLY pregnant. Made an appointment with Dr. Johnson and she not only cancelled on me, but passed me over to a straight-​out-​of-​school newbie. Even worse she did not put me on progesterone even though I called the office and had early bloodwork done which showed that my progesterone levels were decreasing (22, 16, 14) — nurse that called me back said that Johnson felt levels were «good enough.» Maybe she would have been better if I was an existing patient but I ended up miscarrying. Although I understand it could have happened anyways, why leave me with the nagging doubt that we could have prevented this, esp since I’m 40 with no time to spare? She didn’t want to take the extra 5 minutes to send in a prescription or see me any earlier than the 8 week visit. Oh, Evanston office is terrible, seems dirty, pay for parking, unfriendly. Was literally put into a closet (table and couple chairs were shoved in) after ultrasound scan with the newbie doctor. Too many decent doctors in the area to deal with this nonsense.

Never in my entire life have I been treated so horribly by an office staff. No one has their sh– together and it’s a disorganized mess!

I saw Dr. Johnson throughout my second pregnancy and delivery. She is wonderful. I had to switch OBs from my first pregnancy due to an insurance change, and I was hesitant that I wouldn’t like her as much as my first doctor, but I actually ended up liking her much more. She is friendly, reassuring, and as a mom to 3 herself she understands exactly what you are going through in pregnancy.
She came in to the hospital at 4:30am to deliver my baby even though she had been on call the entire previous day which was extremely busy and I’m sure, exhausting. It was so great to have her there.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for an OB. I saw the other 3 doctors in the practice one time each and they also all seemed very nice.

Let’s face it, it’s hard to find the right OB/​GYN. I’ve seen my fair share of just «okay» doctors. Finding the right balance of comfort and trust can be challenging. But, I think I finally found it with Dr. Kim Johnson!
I made an appointment with Dr. Johnson for an exam and to discuss my gynecological concerns. She was absolutely wonderful! She took the time to listen to my history and concerns, and answered all of the questions that I had. She has excellent «bedside manner.» She’s very gentle, caring, honest and friendly. She seems like a very attentive doctor, which is comforting.
I’m definitley happy with my choice to see Dr. Johnson and I would highly recommend her to others!
Appointments/​Reception: Making an appointment wasn’t too difficult. They’re generally very accomodating. However, sometimes the staff can be quite short and flustered over the phone. I’m sure they’re very busy. Don’t let this stop you from making an appointment. In person, they’re all very nice.
Nurses: Dr. Johnson’s nurse is also very friendly. I really like her as well. She listened to everything I had to say and took notes about my concerns.
