If you are a percussionist, this place is the only option in the area. I was looking for a specific product(a bongo cajon) and they had 3 different ones in stock. Their percussion section is primarily Meinl, which is my preferred brand anyways, but they also have LP, Remo, and other options. If you have something to trade in they’ll give you a very fair price on that as well. As far as drums and cymbals, their selection is going to exceed any of the big-box music stores out there. They specialize in drums and percussion, and there’s simply nobody else around with their knowledge and selection. There’s a reason I drive 40 minutes to get there when I need something instead of 10 minutes to a Guitar Center.

Right around the corner from my childhood home in pastoral Lake County. The name says it all. They specialize in percussion. I bought a mix and match sparkly blue kit here(sans cymbals) for less than half what it would cost to buy an ugly new set. They have lots of used loose pieces that can be added to existing kits. Also congas and other more exotic parent-annoyers. They give lessons. I’m more of a self learning type, so i can’t vouch for those. Very small and cluttery like someone’s garage. Don’t know if they sell More Cowbell shirts these days, but they should.
