Thought we would try this place out, bad idea! Food was terrible, my chicken wasn’t even cooked all the way. A pint of beer was $ 6, server knew nothing, took forever and our check was wrong. Not going back!

This place has been a favorite of my boyfriend’s family for a long time. Food is good, the staff is friendly. There are some dishes that are REALLY good… the homemade blue cheese dressing and homemade marinara sauce are my personal favorites. The chicken parm, eggplant parm and meatball sandwiches are high up there too. Some dishes are just average. Part of what keeps me going back is the service. No matter how busy they are, the waitresses are always pleasant and always accommodating with the menu.

Had my wedding rehearsal dinner here. I didn’t know what to expect, but they knocked it out of the park. They gave us our own room with several different tables. It was very tasty Italian food at an amazing, unbeatable per person price– they were so nice they even let us bring our own cake to save us extra money. I got so many compliments on the buffet menu I selected: the tortellini in rose cream sauce and the chicken picante were the favorites, the roast beef and capellini with red sauce were also great. Also included salad, bread, coffee, and soft drinks. They were so nice every time I talked to them, and they repeatedly went out of their way to accommodate our endless dietary restrictions. If you’re planning a wedding and tired of having every vendor you interact with take advantage of you, go to Willow Inn and let them delight you with some tasty, classic Italian food!

Had a holiday get together there recently. The waitress was very nice and incredibly attentive. Food was boilerplate, served in trays for the party and not very inspiring. Seems like a good places for locals to drink, but I’m not sure I’ll be back anytime soon.

This restaurant sits at the Easton Rd/Old York Rd split in the heart of Willow Grove. This place has been there for as long as I can remember. It’s dated décor is in no way a preview of the delicious food you will enjoy if you take the time to visit this Historic Restaurant

Eh. The atmosphere is rustic 80s lodge. Our waiter was fine. No extraneous comments, no flourishes but he did replace our sodas promptly when we discovered that they were root beer instead of cola. T had the chicken parm and I had the flounder. I went in hoping for vodka rigatoni but the Willow Inn has the honor of being the first neighborhood Italian joint I’ve ever been to that doesn’t have it on the menu. Our entrees were served with our choice of soup or salad along with a side of pasta or two veggies. The salad were all right, your standard house salad. The bread wasn’t hot but at least it wasn’t stale. T’s chicken parm was actually quite good. A huge piece of chicken with crispy breading and tons of gooey cheese. It was also served with a mountain of linguini with red gravy. My flounder was good but kind of bland. I got a side of linguini with butter and oil instead of the standard tomato sauce. It was actually very flavorful. It was an okay meal but with so many fantastic Italian places in the area, I have no desire to return.

I wish I had found this place sooner! There’s not much I can say that DJ M. hasn’t said but the atmosphere is great, the prices are right and the food hits the spot!

Now this is what I’m talking about! Unilocal friends ask how can you have so many first reviews and this is a good example as to why I don’t get it either. This historic Inn is located at the corner of two major crossroads, Easton Road(Rt. 611) and Old York Road, just north of the Willow Grove Mall and a couple of miles south of the turnpike. Hey I’ll take it! The old building itself has a rich and colorful history, it served as a hospital for servicemen during the Civil War and later became a house of ill repute, I would have loved to have witnessed that transition and was later bought by the DiMarzio family, which opened the restaurants doors in 1949. Word has it that his faint of heart wife refused to step foot inside until it was sanctified by a local priest. Sixty one years later it is still being run by the same Italian family, second generation and the food is remarkable, even better the staff and owners all show their love and passion for the Willow Inn and this is why they have such a huge following of regulars. You certainly can’t quibble at the size of their portions, the authenticity of the great Italian dishes or the prices for their food. When we lived in Warminster, we frequented the Willow Inn, but since moving to our new home, we did not get over that way as much, but this past weekend we took advantage of being in the area and will now make it a point to return more often. Okay on with the food! Mama Mia, Pescatore with clams, scallops, shrimp, mussels served over pasta, red or white, I went white, twas outstanding and a huge portion filled with treasures from the sea and perfectly cooked angel hair, with tender seafood and a mouth watering sauce to dip my garlic bread in. I don’t eat veal anymore, but my friend does and I must admit, it looked wonderful, they have quite a few veal dishes and she decided on the veal Mediterranean with scallops, spinach, cheese in a garlic butter sauce and she said it melted in her mouth, bitch. I was surprised to see that they did not have chicken saltimbocca or Marsala on their menu, but they did have it made with veal, next time I shall ask. Hubby had the chicken cacciatore with plenty of chicken, onions, peppers and mushrooms in a marinara sauce, he asked them to hold the mushrooms and I gave him my sad boo boo face, so he said okay leave them in so as I scarfed up those discarded mushrooms I snagged a bite or three of his tender and beautifully seasoned chunks of chicken, yum, but to be fair he had his share of seafood plucked from my plate. They serve early bird specials until 6:00 every day and they are such a bargain for $ 10.95 and include soup or a salad, rolls and butter and dessert and coffee. They have packages of meals to go for four to twenty people for less than you could ever dream of making it yourself. Gourmet pizzas galore, but I am not going to comment on them since it has been many years, although I do remember having some of the best fettuccine alfredo that I have ever had here. Homemade soups, salads, pasta dishes that will be coming out of your ears, the list is so long, sandwiches, combos, antipastos and appetizers to droll over. We did share the clams casino which were good and the tortellini in a rose cream sauce, our friend had the calamari, which we don’t do, but she seemed to really enjoy it. They have a full bar with regulars, very friendly and family oriented, it almost feels like you’re gathering with friends in your family room, the atmosphere is contagious.
