I happened to find Joe Donnelly via Craigslist (selling the nicely reconditioned washers & dryers he has in stock,) and came across Linda C’s glowing Unilocal review when I did my research. Linda was absolutely right — Joe was prompt, professional, and his products are great! I paid $ 410 including delivery for a reconditioned washer and dryer for my house, and couldn’t be happier. He guarantees his reconditioned items for three months, and he seems very good at what he does overall. Give him a call if you’re looking for a way to skip the laundromat on a budget — you’ll be thrilled! :-D

Mr. Donnelly sells washers and dryers that he re-​conditions himself (he is a pro at this).
We bought a dryer a couple of years ago from him (an older Maytag) after mine conked out. It has since worked fine, it cost less than $ 200 but I can’t remember exactly. Then the other day, the drum stopped turning and it seemed to me the belt had snapped. I called Mr Donnelly and he came out the same day and replaced the belt for me for $ 80 total. My feeling is, my washer and dryer are in the basement so I don’t need a brand-​new one for looks, especially a dryer. Which they all pretty much do the same job. And they are so expensive new any more!
My suggestion is that if you want to save on a washer or dryer, call him at 215−416−8682 and go down and see what he has. Good service and a good guy.
UPDATE, he may have gone out of business due to illness, check and see if you are inclined to use his services.
