I absolutely do NOT recommend this company. I had them come for a service call and it ended up costing me $ 332 and my problem went unresolved. They were not willing to work with me on that price at all, even though I was never told the price of a product they recommended I install, to attempt to fix it. I understand the cost of sending someone out, but not working with me when a problem wasn’t solved leaves me extremely disappointed. I had considered them for another project until I got the invoice. Expect arrogance when dealing with them, and expensive service prices. Look elsewhere.

I had Vermont Energy replace an older boiler with a state of the art, high efficiency model a few years ago. The energy savings were supposed to pay for the additional expense of the boiler. While the gas bills did go down by a few hundred dollars a year, the expensive repairs have eaten up any savings. Instead of paying Vermont Gas I’ve been sending money to Vermont Energy. After all the problems and repairs, when I needed another boiler at a different property two years ago I used my regular plumber to install a ‘normal’ efficient boiler at about half the cost. There have been zero problems and zero repair costs with reduced gas bills. I would never again use Vermont Energy to upgrade plumbing equipment.
