Good, standard Italian food served family style. Nice service. An institution that has been in the neighborhood for a long time.

I was always a fan of La Parma until our last visit when we wanted an order of pasta To Go. The snobby girl up front told us it would be 1 ½ hour wait – for a «To Go order»!!! It is time to move on and find a place that needs our money more than they do

We went here over the weekend for dinner & it was amazing! We had the Seafood Salad(large) app and Eggplant parm & Linguini with white clam sauce(small) for dinner. It was amazing and a couple glasses of pinot noir hit the spot. We even brought home a doggy bag. Def a lil pricey but well worth it. The staff and waiters were on point. thanks

If you want a combination of Italian comfort food and great value look no further. The chicken scarpariello is the best as well as all the pasta dishes. Very attentive service by the owner and his staff.

Always a classic spot to hit. My brother in law introduced this spot to us 6+ years ago and we come here every so often. My family never goes out for Italian but if we do, La Parma is were we go. And for those who don’t understand, real Italians don’t go out much for Italian. If they do it has to be a good spot. La Parma is that spot for me. Check them out of you want some good Italian, oh and just like mamas house all portions are Family Size.

One star rating because I will not go back there. Was not impressed. Had baked clams which were ok. Fried calamari were lacking tenderness and flavor. Veal parm was thin and had a leftover taste. Penne vodka was too al dente and sauce was watery as was the sauces for the calamari and veal parm. Even if they cut the prices in half I would not go back. Service was good. Thats about it.

La Parma is the perfect place to go in Long Island if you’re craving Italian food.(They have several locations.) The perfect family style restaurant, you will get high quality food at a reasonable price. The normal dishes are enough for at least two people(I can easily finish it) but if you’re concerned about size or want more of another dish, you can always get a half order. Highly recommend the penne al la vodka and wood-grilled salmon. They also have tons of gluten-free options. Be sure to check out the wall by the bar with great pictures of celebrities! Definitely one of my favorite places!

Chef Dom makes the best sauces. They might as well be soups! A recommendation to start with for a first timer is the Shrimp La Parma! The best!

Walked in, on a 90 degree day and noticed it was very warm in the restaurant! Even though the place was 2⁄3 empty they managed to cram everyone in one section of the restaurant! I commented a few times to the waiter when he eventually managed to come over to take our drink order after sitting there for over 10 minutes, how warm it was and he agreed, yet we were HOT the whole time! We started with the Zuppa de Mussels which were excellent, I wish I ended the meal there! My Wife and I ordered 2 glasses of cheap Pinot Noir which the charged 10 bucks a glass for, and we decided to share a «family sized» order of shrimp LA Parma which is 28 bucks and consists of 12 shrimp in a bro do and NOTHING else! I asked the waiter if it came with pasta and he said that was extra! OK, I was mentally prepared to pay like $ 4.50 for a side of pasta but when I got my bill I noticed they charged me 8 bucks for a half pound of linguine, SERIOUSLY??? What did that cost you maybe 30 cents??? Food was average at best, service was slow, and prices were a ripoff, won’t be going back! I’ll drive up the block to Matteo’s, way better food and value!

Speaking from an Italian point of view, this food is authentic and really good. Family style sharing and great wine selections. Although my artichoke was tough, everything else I have had here on multiple visits has been good. Great place to host a big get together but make reservations as early as possible. Not the biggest lot but they use the neighboring lots for VIP parking.

Another great Italian restaurant on the Willis Ave strip. Great food, little pricey but worth every penny. I personally believe either Italian Restaurants are either great or it’s trash and La Parma is definitely a great place to dine. You will not be disappointed.

Came here for a dinner for a party of 10(5 couples). The restaurant was busy on a Wednesday night, so things looked promising. The décor was dated and not the cleanest but I guess it kind of fits the charm of the place. The waiters are definitely old school with heavy Italian accents, they spoke so fast I could barely understand them. Here are the things we ordered: 2 calamari — fresh and pretty good 2 La Parma salads — it was okay but the table seemed to enjoy it 1 Penne a la vodka — good 1 Linguine with white clam sauce — good but where were the clams 1 Pasta with seafood sauce — the seafood was not fresh, definitely frozen 2 chicken parms — very small for the price 1 Eggplant parma — i’ve had better 1 Veal La Parma — ok 1 chicken scarp off the bone with sausage and peppers — not very good. 2 bottles of wine Here is why I gave it 2 stars. The food was very subpar. Everything was bland… did they run out of salt or something? Every dish needed some salt or additional seasoning. It makes me think that the head chef wasn’t there and some sous chef was cooking off the recipes without tasting the food. Very disappointing. The waiters also speak very fast and will try to get you to over order, which happened to us. We could have done without 2 meat dishes since we had so much to take home. They even added sausage and peppers to the chicken scarp when I don’t even recall being asked that. Or maybe I was when he was running through his sentences. Bottom line — the food here is not very good, don’t ask the waiters if the amount of food is enough because they’ll have you over order, and how is a chivas $ 13 a glass when a glenfiddich is $ 12? Our bill was $ 600 with tax and tip. Would have been worth it if the food was better.

We’ve been to this restaurant a few times, always for birthday parties. I’m assuming its because the family style is perfect for gatherings and celebrations. I will try and come back for a more intimate meal. The private room upstairs is really big and the restaurant knows how to serve portions big enough for even the biggest families. All the fishes and muscles are very fresh and garlicky, Calamari was great. I love the penne ala vodka, and the chicken francaise is delicious. The family style is perfect for those of us who enjoy good portions. I also tried the broccoli rabe with garlic and oil, it was very good but a bit too oily. But the rest was awesome, Chicken parm, Linguine with white clam sauce, and a seafood medley that was even better then expected. The negatives: Caesar salad had way too many anchovies and the waitstaff even though super polite and attentive, are a bit rushed and can make mistakes. The desserts were good and I’ll definitely keep them in mind if I’m throwing a big party myself. Valet parking available, great décor, and the ambiance feels as if you’re in your moms own Italian restaurant!

*** Takes advantage of customers*** Grossly overcharges for food and even manager cannot justify the ridiculously inflated cost! Grew up in the area and recently moved back to Williston Park with husband(previously lived in Soho). For Valentine’s my husband takes me here; both of us expecting a pleasant evening and good pasta. My husband called to make a reservation and«the place was booked heavily and they only had one opening for 9pm». When we arrived, we suspected something wrong when the place was almost empty(there were four other tables occupied). This is weird on a Saturday night at 9pm, especially on Valentine’s. Food and service were nothing special. But not at all why I say never, ever go to La Parma. Husband orders pappardelle with Alfredo sauce. He asks for chicken and broccoli as well. Waiter says that would be extra. Since we have done this many times at other restaurants, we say that’s ok. I order penne ala vodka(minus prosciutto and shrimp added). They sent one with prosciutto but corrected the order when I pointed it out. When the check came, my husband did a double take. He didn’t want to ruin the night by discussing cost, but he asked me if he was mistaken at how much they charged us. The bill for a caesar salad, diet coke, and two pasta dishes came out to $ 87.50. He asked the waiter to explain that we ordered individual not family style dishes since we are only two people but the waiter explained that the added cost for the chicken, broccoli & shrimp added to the individual-sized pasta dishes. We asked to speak to the manager, the waiter came back with a message from the manager to knock off $ 10. We politely asked to speak to the manager because cost was not the issue, it’s a matter of the outrageously embellished bill. Each pasta dish listed on the menu is approximately $ 15… yet adding 8 shrimp to a dish inflated the price to $ 32. When we asked the manager about this, he replied that the added cost was correct and justified(but gave no real reason for justification)… same thing for the other dish… but this was $ 34. To be honest, he seemed a bit tongue-tied and flustered. When I replied that we have dined at plenty of other Italian restaurants in NYC and around the country and that we have never seen price inflation such as this, the manager was a bit rude and expected me to take him at his word. This bill was ridiculous. It’s not that my husband and I are unwilling to spend money on a fine dining experience. But we don’t accept getting completely ripped off either. To say that their menu is overpriced is one thing. But what they did tonight was far worse. They essentially doubled the cost of what other comparable restaurants offer for a similar meal and expected us to be satisfied by their lame justification. Interestingly, when I mentioned that I was disappointed with what they did and how they handled it and would have to write about it on Unilocal, the manager got upset and revoked the $ 10 discount they offered. Needless to say, that pretty much sums up how much they disrespect the customer. Take my advice, there are plenty of other great Italian restaurants in the area that offer better food and better service at a fair price.

The food on Sunday nite was not good enough for me anymore… it used to be better. its become a neighborhood kinda place… the food is prepared ahead of time and they heat it up… For 100.00 a couple with a drink each. You gotta do better in todays world to keep it fresh and Real. The family style is good for many people… but your not getting fresh prepared food. NONE of it !!! the Food was warm at best!!! The waiters are nothing too special either… There service has no class… they lacked any special attention for the price !! Veal parm doesn’t come outta the kitchen in 4 minutes ifs its the Real deal… They don’t even give you water until you ask… Go some place else… this place needs to Re learn what service is !!!

Excellent food. Never disappointed. Great staff!!! Plenty of leftovers good for late night snack. My favorite is the calamari arrabbiata, mussels in white wine sauce, chicken scarpariello off the bone special with pork chops added. Love the garlic it’s loaded with it!!! My wife’s family is related to owners so I get a glass of Chianti on the house which is a plus.
