Chris and Amber are the owners of this fine place, and you’ll have a tough time finding more friendly business owners.
I went down to Willis from Dallas to see him and one of his competitors in person before I decided on a custom smoker.
LSG was my very first stop. Chris took the time to walk me around his shop and show me some of his floor models as well as some cookers that were ready for pickup by other customers.
The quality of his builds is top notch, very clean welds. Prices are also some of the best among the local competition. Chris answered all of my questions and even offered some personal experience that was much appreciated. He even went a tad further and explained some differences between his cookers vs his competitors. While I didn’t ask or anticipate the comparison, that is what ultimately led to the decision to by from LSG.
After leaving, I immediately went to one of his competitors. The quality was just about equal if only using appearances. The guy who gave me a tour for them seemed really rehearsed and maybe not as much in to spending time with me. I dunno, Chris with LSG just seemed more personable and didn’t make me feel rushed.
If you’re nearby, I would very much recommend you pay him a visit if you’re considering a cooker purchase soon. There is a waiting period of 2+ months, so don’t expect to pick up something immediately. You’ll need to plan ahead!
