I’d probably go someplace between a three and a four. I really like this place, I always go to Carmen to get a relax, it’s not always easy to find a place to get a relaxer around here. Friendly and prompt service.

I have short hair, and no one has ever been able to cut my hair the way she does. She takes her time and pays attention to detail. I have been going to her for years and I would never, ever change hairdressers. Give her a picture of a haircut you like, and she will never fail to replicate it strand for strand. She’s amazing!

I love Tammy at Scenic Roots! She is the best! I moved out of area to Massachusetts and tried unsuccessfully to get a hairdresser that could cut my hair and highlight it the way she did. I tried several but no one could do as good a job as Tammy. She is personable, the salon is very clean and she does a terrific job. I work in CT so I have given up trying to find a salon close to where I live and am going to stick with Tammy.

I called for a last-​minute pre-​travel haircut and they were able to fit me in half an hour later. Carmen was very nice and gave me exactly the cut I wanted: simple, no layers, no fuss, no nothing. It doesn’t sound complicated, but many stylists don’t believe you when you say you want something BASIC.
The salon has a nice, neighborhood-​y vibe, plus a totally cute dog (who was banished outside after a while), and the cost is better than fair. I would definitely recommend this place!
