Pediatric & Adolescent Urgent Care of WNY

We’ve been here a couple of times and have had a great experience. However this time around was terrible. My child was sick off and on for a week and as I was listing symptoms as well as my concern and the nurse practitioner was very rude and condescending. What’s the point of asking about ones medical history if you’re not going to base the past on the present. Well according to her we «weren’t talking about the past». I knew it was bronchitis because we all get it once a year but she ruled it off as croup and didn’t want to do an xray. I didnt believe her and i called her out and she had an even bigger attitude and walked out to get some medicine that she said would clear him up. She administered the steroid like thats her solution to everything. She raised her voice because I was challenging her «diagnosis» and asked if I wanted to see the doctor and by that time I had had enough of her attitude. So we left. Needless to say we went somewhere else after that and it was bronchitis. Never again will I go back!

We have been here several times over the past few years and have always received great care. Dr. Lillis is an excellent physician and has an extensive background from working at Children’s Hospital as a Director. Today we saw Dr. Kenyon who was excellent. My son had a laceration to his forehead that required 9 stitches. They quickly brought us in, obtained his Vitals and stitched his head up. They were able to do an X-​ray on site and discharge us. We have a follow up to remove the stitches in 7 days. This was so much nicer than spending hours in an ER! Highly recommend it. Also, copay was $ 75 instead of $ 200.

I live in colorado and was visiting family when my 4 year old got sick. We went to the new orchard park location and couldnt be happier with the service and care we received. From the receptionist to the nurse to the doctor, my daughter was treated like a princess. They were all so very nice and genuine. It definitely turned what could’ve been a horrific all nighter into a calming and relaxing environment. They even gave her a freeze pop and stuffed animal snowman. Highly, highly recommended!

This is a terrific place to take your kids if unable to see the pediatrician and your child requires immediate care that is not life threatening. The staff has excellent bedside manners and they try to make the time you’re there as pleasant as possible. Exam rooms are colorful and designed to resemble what a room would look like at home. Rooms are warm and comforting and include a crib, books, TV, radio, and a bed for parents. The bed is nice if you need to relax with your child to calm them down. It’s also good for when you need to be there for many hours. You can rest while your child rests. This place even offers free coffee. Today one of the doctors used bubbles to cheer up my son and get his attention. They also offered him a frozen pop when done with his x-​ray. If your child is unable to see a doctor, and the injury is non life threatening, definitely come here over the ER. It’s likely much cheaper than an ER and your child will be treated sooner.
