I have mixed feelings about Fiero. I couldn’t decide if I liked it or not. I went with my parents and grandmother during restaurant week since my mom wanted to go. It’s located in the plaza by Wegmans on Sheridan. It has a trendy ambiance to it inside. We were greeted by the owner/manager when we walked in and was seated quickly. When we were seated, we realized we were never given menus. Our waitress quickly noticed and brought menus to us quickly. Our drinks, appetizers, dinners, and desserts came out very quickly. I assume that since it was restaurant week, they were cranking out food. I thought my dinner was okay. It was chicken with vegetables but it came out practically like a soup. It tasted good but there was way too much liquid in the dish. I believe that if you present it on a dish, it should be made to eat and I definitely wasn’t given a spoon. Also, the description of the dish didn’t describe the food the way I received it. We were seated next to a table with a couple who was very annoying. They complained about their steak being over cooked. Our waitress was very clear to our table that streaks were being cooked medium during restaurant week. It was a little odd that you don’t get to choose but I can see the reasoning behind it for restaurant week. They had the manager come over and he told them their waitress was wrong to do that. I don’t like when managers put down their own staff. The waitress was super pleasant. They also complained(not to the manager, just to themselves) how quickly the food came out and they left the coupons given to them to come back another time on the table(which the manager gave out to tables earlier in the evening but skipped our table). They made a comment about hoping the staff will get the message. I’m not overly impressed with my experience. I do think this place has a lot of potential because the food tastes good, they have friendly waitresses, and it’s a nice environment. They just need to have consistency. For one, have a routine of giving menus. If you greet and seat, give out menus. If you greet tables, set out on a set pattern so you hit all of the tables. Also, describe the food a little more on the menus so I know exactly what to expect. I’ve never been so surprised with a meal coming out not how I pictured it. I also wouldn’t mind if the tables were spaced out more or if they at least seated us away from other tables since the restaurant was half full. I didn’t need to hear the conversation of the annoying couple all night. It wasn’t noisy/busy enough to place us directly next to another table. Lastly, if you give out coupons, don’t exclude the table that loves using coupons.

We went here for local restaurant week and ordered it from the local restaurant week menu. But portion of the food is small won’t even fill u up. The taste of the food is just okay or kind of bland. They really need to work on their food to bring their A game so people would rememebr this place. I understand the restaurant theme is Mediterranean fusion but lack of mediterranean flavors make people really feeling disappointed of this new place. Inside the restaurant is nice, people are friendly.

Excellent food, excellent service. Interesting menu with a definite lean toward Mediterranean. I’d go back for sure. Word of advice — grab drinks at the bar before happy hour ends @630pm. Beer & wine was $ 4– $ 5 at the bar, but at table was $ 8 – 10. Yikes.

Ehhhhh, I have mixed feelings about this place. It’s pretty inside, food was good but small dinner portions. A couple that sat at the table next to us, came in well after we did, was finished eating their dinners before we even got ours. We were only 3 people. We ordered an appetizer and I am assuming the waitress waited until the entire appetizer was finished before she put our entrée order in. We expressed our displeasure when the entrees finally came and the owner/manager came over and apologized. He was pleasant and kept asking if we wanted another round of drinks from the bar, coffee or dessert on him. We all declined as we just got our dinners and couldn’t even think about drinking more, coffee or dessert just yet. After we finished, 2 of us decided on coffee. In the end, every drink, appetizer, meals and both coffees were on the bill. Huh…

First time and will go back. Food and service was outstanding. The menu was a bit limited but the server mentioned they were expanding it. A gem in Williamsville. If you haven’t been there, give it a try. Dine Local!

Wonderful ambience, delicious food with an emphasis on fresh whole food and terrific friendly service. My friend and I stopped for a late lunch and we were welcomed and served two fabulous salads and cups of soup. The salads were perfect and the soup, potato basil, was different and superb. I will absolutely go back to Fiero and look forward to a dinner experience.

Came here for lunch with a fellow Unilocaler. We always try new(to us) places and this day we headed North. This place is in a strip plaza and has easy parking. It’s a large restaurant and I assume they do most business at night because it wasn’t busy at all for lunch, especially on a Thur in Dec. You’d think those holiday lunches would come here as they have plenty of room and various size tables etc. There’s a full bar here too, which looked lovely. The dining room is somewhat separated so I imagine you won’t have a hard time eating and enjoying yourself, even if the bar is full and hopping. We took a booth, as did the other lunch diners. I found the place to be quite chilly, my companion did not. My pizza was fine. Perfect size. Fine flavors. Nothing really popped on it, but I ate it all anyway. I liked it enough to do that. My companion had the asparagus panini. Much better than the pizza. The asparagus was perfectly cooked. I did think the panini bread was a little thick, but it didn’t stop me from eating it all. I should have asked to see a dinner menu, but I did find the lunch one to be limited. It was fine, just smaller than I expected. Id come back again if in the area, but Id skip the pizza and try something else.

I was originally going to give this place 4 stars but then I realized I haven’t had a bad experience yet so 5 stars it is. The place is beautiful inside. Hard to believe it was a simple pizza place not long ago. I’ve only been there for lunch a few times. But each time the wait staff was very attentive and the food came out quick. Today’s visit I had the Moroccan Potato bisque which was fantastic. A great flavor combination of smoky and spicy. Just the right amount of spice to not make it overpowering. And the pizzas are amazing. When people ask me my favorite pizza in town I need to remember Fiero. The dough is nice and crispy with the right amount of crunch and chewiness to the crust. The cheese and sauce on the margherita pizza are so flavorful it takes a basic pizza to the next level. As an added bonus the have a great selection of rotating craft beers on tap. I highly recommend this place for a quick bite or even a more formal meal.

Fiero has good intentions but misses too many marks. Five people at the bar and only my husband and I in the dining room when we arrived, yet drinks and appetizers were slow in arriving. Olive appetizer, $ 10, unappealing and unimaginative. My husbands Caesar salad,$ 9, was three very small romain hearts with the old rusty colored stems left untrimmed. Main course — short rib special was so overdone that what should be an outer crust was so thick an deep into the meat that the rib became dry and stringy. No worry, plenty of overpoweringly sweet sauce so you can’t even taste your stringy beef. I ordered the beef instead of the duck because there would have been a additional charge for potatos instead of the udon noodles that came with the duck. Our waitress didn’t know what udon was and didn’t even know how to pronounce the word. I told her I was avoiding gluten but wasn’t told there was barley in the rice pilaf served with the short rib. Seafood pasta, nothing special and plenty of oil/butter in the tomato sauce — again, missed the mark. The evening was meant to be a celebration. Instead, I deeply apologized to my husband for my choice of restaurant and plan to take him out again on Friday.

We just stopped in for happy hour at the bar — had a great martini and Bob had a beer(short beer list on tap — only 4 taps). Ordered a wood fire pizza and watched the in house made dough and sauce being prepped right in front of us and a few minutes later had a crispy crusted delish pizza, perfect for a light dinner. Since the drinks we had were ½ off for happy hour and so was the pizza our dinner came to $ 17. Really. What a deal! Oh and that included a glass of their house wine too — a great Malbec that was happy hour priced. We will be back for dinner soon and I’ll update my review. Staff was attentive and proud of the place — really wanted us to like it and we did!

I will likely never eat here again. We came here twice, the first time was a pleasant enough experience, My salmon dish wasn’t horrible but not anything special, but my husband LOVED the lamb tagine. He enjoyed it so much we decided to come back with a few friends a couple of weeks later and had the most BIZARRE dining experience any of us had ever had. Firstly, we didnt get any menus for about 15 minutes or so, then when we finally did order drinks they didnt arrive to the table for at least 20 minutes. AFTER waiting that long(not exaggerating how long this took) once the drinks were brought to the table, the waitress didn’t return for another extended period of time! we spent around an hour in the restaurant before we even ORDEREDOURFOOD! Luckily we had good company and conversation distracted us from falling asleep waiting. Once we finally ordered our food, it took another hour at least before it came out. The waitress ignored our table, seemingly intentionally, and was not pleasant to us(or the table next to us «Alright! Alright! I’ll be there in a second, I’m busy» is not the way to talk to customers!) I had a Chicken Tagine(which was not flavorful at all and wasn’t finished), one of our friends had a seafood dish(not good or bad but OK) and the other two had the lamb Tagine(which they both loved, hence the 2 Star rating). All of us were completely shocked by the service and the amount of time spent waiting. As much as the guys loved the lamb dishes, I don’t think any of us returning here is very likely… at all. Also, for the price its not worth it. After the horrible service and the ridiculous wait, getting charged over $ 150 was like a kick in the gut…(a gut that is probably empty unless you order the lamb tagine because you probably won’t even want to finish the other dishes).

First time at the restaurant. Décor is beautiful, the atmosphere is warm. I opted for the chicken wrap, it was really tasty. The reason, I only gave an average rating to this restaurant is because after few bites I had something jab me in the mouth. I was surprised to pull out two chicken bones The service is attentive. Reasonable price I will return and i hope next time i will give five star

Fiero sounded like an interesting place to eat, I’m always up to trying a place that is Unique, Out of the Ordinary that serves food of great Quality. While looking over the participating restaurants for Local Restaurant Week I came across this one and looked over the Menu and said to my Grandma and Uncle(We are going here). We walked in and we were amazed by the elegant décor, there were artifacts that were hung up on the walls from Morocco Egypt, Lebanon, Libya, Syria(Your get the Picture). Our waitress(Sharon I believe it was) sat us in the middle of the Dining Room, We looked over the Menu(Such a lot of exotic stuff). I started off with a Cocktail called the Moroccan Red Ruby(Absolut Ruby Red Vodka, Grapefruit Juice, Ginger Ale and Cranberry Juice with a Sugared Rim) I loved that when you go to Sip the sugar helps tone down some of the Tartness of the Grapefruit/Cranberry Juices. Grandma got a glass of Riesling. We then ordered I got myself a small Cup of Roasted Butternut Squash soup topped with a Honey whipped Ricotta(I loved the spice, the taste of Nutmeg and Curry along with the Crushed Nuts on top). I also ordered the Bastilla(a Moroccan Meat Pie, this was more like a Turnover) filled with Chicken, Onions, Pine Nuts and Raisins with a Green Tomato & Cumin Sauce(Winner for Best Appetizer at The Taste of Williamsville) I loved the sound of that Flaky crust and then getting all the Stuff inside(Juicy Chicken, Crunch from the Pine Nuts, Tart Raisins, Zesty Tomato Sauce, normally I don’t like Caramelized Onions but in this case it added some Texture) Rick got a Bowl of the Butternut Squash Soup and Grandma got the Fiero Salad(Mixed Greens, Spiced Almonds, Fennel, Raisins and a Pomegranate Vinaigrette(it was a little overdressed for me but Grandma liked it). Before we got out Entrees we were treated to a Complimentary Naan Flatbread with a Mint & Za’atar Yogurt Sauce(It didn’t taste like it was freshly made, it came out cold and the Yogurt sauce tasted just like Cream no Mint or Za’atar present at all). Then our Entrees came out, Grandma got the Salmon(crusted with Herbes de Provence) with Fennel, Lemon whipped Potatoes and a Lavender Beurre Blanc(Salmon was nicely cooked, I’m glad that it wasn’t completely covered in Herbs but it was topped with some Pickled Red Onion and some Fennel Fronds, Fennel gave it a Licorice Flavor, Potatoes were smooth the Beurre Blanc was fragrant. I just wish there was some more Color like some Red Pepper to contrast all that Yellow). Rick got the Sherry glazed Beef Sirloin with Sweet Potato Bravas(Spanish technique, Boil them, then dry them then Deep Fry), Roasted Leeks, Wine soaked Raisins and a Caramelized Onion Crema(Steak was cooked Medium-Well, Sweet Potatoes were crispy, the wine in those Raisins were Sweet, but that Crema was my favorite thing on there, Rich Onion flavor). I got the Ras el Hanout braised Chicken with Sumac spiked Cauliflower over Moroccan Couscous I loved when they brought it over to the Table in a Tagine and they lifted the top off and it was Sizzling and the Aroma was wafting through the Air.(Ras el Hanout is a North African Spice mix consisting of 15 different spices, which spice was Fragrant), Chicken was fall off the Bone Tender, the couscous was Nutty and Chewy, There was a Tomato in there but I only had a bite of it. I just wished the Cauliflower was a bit softer(it was Crunchy) and the Sumac was Subtle(a Lemony Spice). Before we decided on getting dessert The owners came over and talked to us and asked if we were enjoying ourselves(they were very friendly). Told us about all the artifacts they brought here and that the restaurant had been open for 3 months so far. For Dessert(Since they were out of Nutella Panna Cotta) I got The Pound Cake(flavored with hints of Orange Zest topped with a scoop of Vanilla Gelato and drizzled with a Vanilla/Balsamic Vinegar Sauce all around). The Cake was so soft and buttery like(The Orange Zest was subtle) paired with that Creamy Gelato and the sauce was like an Agrodolce(Italian for Sweet & Sour). Fiero means Pride in Moroccan, we’ll they take a lot of Pride in their work. Using a lot of Exotic Spices, using a lot of different Techniques and bringing something different to the Table. I would definitely come back to try something different and send my taste buds on another Journey !!!

Mediterranean has never tasted so fresh! My friend and I found this restaurant on a whim. We stopped in for lunch and found that even though there weren’t a ton of patrons, the atmosphere was wonderful and the waitress incredibly attentive. I could not get over the décor; every detail has been thought out and is gorgeous. We started with the soup of the day, which was a squash bisque with a vegetable base. The flavors! There were so many different tastes in this wonderful fall creation. We raved about it all day. I had the grilled chicken wrap and was thrilled with the freshness of the Gorgonzola and the meld of spices. This would be a perfect date night restaurant. I will definitely be returning!

Five stars for the food, the service, and again, the food. Since Fiero has opened, they updated the menu. Customer feedback was the primary driver for this. That in itself I find amazing. While I have mostly gotten takeout here, I had dined in a total of twice. I have been impressed both times dining in, and every time taking out. The artichoke appetizer is absolutely amazing. Seriously, amazing. As well, their in house pizza is to die. Being a native NYer, that is serious stuff for me. They have an in house sourdough crust that they allow to rise multiple times over 48 hours. You can tell its homemade and special care is taken. The mushroom pasta has a fantastic amalgamation of wild mushrooms and is so fragrant, yet not overpowered by spices. Everything is an absolute well balanced marriage. As well, the grilled octopus, is, just, yes. I truly hope Fiero finds a permanent home and love in the Village and well beyond. Their attention to detail, in season ingredients, and the clientele makes them paramount. All businesses should follow their lead. Go, eat, imbibe, enjoy.

Fiero is a new Mediterranean restaurant that opened up in the plaza across from Sheridan & Evans. AMBIANCE: The restaurant is impressive inside, lots of grande lighting, booths, linens and tablecloths. It’s casual without being stuffy, but also a very nice place to enjoy a lunch or dinner. FOOD: I’ve only had lunch here so what I’ve tried is severely limited, but my favorite item was their cauliflower curry soup. It had chunks of cauliflower, olive oil and was blended together and presented very well. It tasted hearty without being too creamy and was not spicy. It was a bit strange how they don’t let you order a cup of it, but only had bowls, but the hearty portion was definitely appreciated. I was a bit disappointed with my lentil wrap for lunch as the lentils seemed overcooked and didn’t really come together very well in the wrap. I think I just ordered the wrong thing and would go for something different next time. They had some delicious sounding pasta-lunch specials that I would have tried, but trying to be health-conscious prevented me from ordering the dish :). SERVICE: Very friendly, water/coffee was constantly refilled. No complaints there. I’d come back here and try a few other things before updating my review.

Great food, Amazing flavors, friendly and prompt service. When we arrived a wonderful smell was in the air of great food cooking. We immediately noticed the very nice bar area and the pizza oven upon entering. We were met by a friendly host who politely asked us if we had reservations? My wife and I looked around to see the dining area was almost completely vacant then thought«oh its one of these places…». Then, when we said no, we do not have reservations we were asked if we wanted the dining area or the bar seating. Umm… really? Dining area it was… obviously. After not having the best welcoming experience we still remained optimistic. Our waitress came over and greeted us, very pleasant woman. She explained in great detail what each special was even going over the way the items were prepared. After what seemed like a 10 minute long explanation she then took our drink orders and promptly returned with our drinks. The waitress whose name I forgot was very nice and a pleasure to work with. She took her time and described everything and promptly answered any and all questions we had about the menu. She even offered her personal recommendations. The food was prepared very well and just delightful. The atmosphere was pleasurable and inviting. Dessert was phenomenal too!!! A bit pricey but we will absolutely dine here again.
