Complaint in regards our recent visit, yesterday, at about 6:00pm. It was our first time dining in a Hoss’s restaurant, we liked the name, it seemed to have a good crowd, seafood and steak was in the title. We walked in, no one greeted us, no one guided us to where we needed to go, we finally asked a girl and she told us we needed to walk to the other side to place our orders. We were still optimistic, the food descriptions were tempting and prices affordable. My boyfriend ordered scallops. It came with the salad bar, he couldn’t eat his salad, he said it was horrible and not the least bit fresh, next up were the scallops, they had a bad fishy taste & they weren’t cooked properly. Scallops should taste delicious and flake when you cut them in ½ with your fork. Also, It came with a side of canned mushrooms, yuck, a few bites later, he was sick to his stomach and done. I had a pork sandwich, it sounded delicious with Apple butter included in the recipe. It was horrible, didn’t taste like pork, it tasted like a mystery meat of mush, my god was it mushy, no flavor at all, couldn’t eat more than a bite or two. The waitress didn’t seem to notice my boyfriend’s full almost untouched plate, but asked me how mine was, I told her my honest opinion and she offered to have me try something else. Next up, the cheese steak, tasted horrible and rubbery, the rubbery texture was the worst. I had given up at this point, I just wanted to leave and eat something else somewhere else when my appetite returned. In the midst of these few gross bites of food and refusal to eat, Adam had bit on something hard in the scallops. It was a piece of PLASTIC! It even has an odd line printed on it, it definitely was NOT a shell. He told and showed the waitress, she came back after a long time put down the check and said her manager gave us a discount and walked away. It as a $ 6 discount because we were still charged $ 9 for the salad bar that was included with the meal and he didn’t even eat anything from it. This was an insult, we didn’t tell her about it to get a discount or free meal, we didn’t even eat the food for heaven’s sake! All the plates were pushed to the end of the table almost completely full with just a bite or two taken out of them. So for $ 20 we paid to be sick to our stomachs and for my poor boyfriend to bite down on a hard piece of PLASTIC that was became wedged in between his teeth, luckily it didn’t injure his gums or crack a tooth or cause him any harm. Before, I paid, though, I asked the waitress if they knew what happened or where the plastic came from, I asked if it was from the packaging or something they used to cook with, she said she would show it to the manager, she left again for another long period of time just to come back and say well, I showed it to her, I dunno. Twice, the manager refused to talk to us, guess he or she was to busy to address our complaint, unacceptable! We will never return to a Hoss’s restaurant and plan on going on trip advisor and every foodie website to give a bad review. It wasn’t just horrible food that was served to us, it was the way that we were treated and how our concerns were so rudely dismissed and lazily addressed. Its just SHAMEFUL!

Love their soup bar! Soups are always fresh and tasty. Affordable price. Staff is always wonderful. Clean.

The steaks are cooked great. There is a lot to choose from in their salad bars & the prices are awesome. I just wish they had one closer to my house.

I took my mother for salmon dinner with salad bar and it was wonderful. The fish was moist and the salad bar was diverse and fresh. Prices were reasonable although expensive enough to make this a monthly visit.

Good value and atmosphere for a family meal. The service was exceptional. Food was cooked as requested and tasted good. The establishment was clean and inviting.

I still come here when they have the $ 4.99 salad bar deal. The only thing I think is worth to get here.

Just an average steakhouse service was good

This restaurant is good, steaks are cooked the way you ask for it, salad bar is fresh. Price is more than reasonable. Nice waitresses too
