This was the best massage I have ever had in my life! And I have had plenty of massages! Get the hot salt massage. It is awesome!

I booked single session for myself in the salt cavern which was $ 25 in a group setting. I arrived early as suggested by the scheduling person. This gave me plenty of time to take off my shoes and put my own sock on, in the locker/waiting area. The place looks cute on the outside(like a snow cabin in Tahoe) and looks totally charming on the inside as well. It reminds me of Tatry Mountains in Poland. The ladies at the front desk were very welcoming and instructional before the session started. You are welcome to use ear plugs, but I rather listen to the water fountains in the cavern and take deep relaxing breaths to benefit from the salts. It was super relaxing and I end up falling asleep which was recommended during the instructions anyway. I woke up very gently with the lights being raised when the session was ending. I left feeling refreshed and intrigued to try it again and again.

In town for the week and saw an ad for this spa. Called and left a VM(since they were closed), hoping by some chance they had openings for a float(s) the next day — woke up to a message the next morning saying they could definitely get us in! Great atmosphere. I had floated before; my friend had not. We both loved it. Salt cave was awesome to look at, although we did not actually go in.

We received gift certificates to the Salt Spa. We went for a 45 minute salt room session. The staff were very friendly and receptive. The salt room was everything you would expect it to be. It’s dark and relaxing. There was music playing and water running. We absolutely loved our session and will be back!

So on the last day four mini vacation my fiancé and I were able to make reservations at the Salt Spa, having never heard of more less been to a spa of this nature. We had researched the info online and found it pretty interesting and decided to try it out. I got the 1 hour Swedish massage(at a very reasonable price might I add) and she booked a 45 minute session in the salt cave(she’d been having back problems so didn’t want a massage). We arrived a little early for our appointment and found even the waiting area to be extremely tranquil and relaxing. My fiancé prepared for her session by removing her shoes and storing out personal belongings in a locker provided by the spa. My massage therapist came down to get me and then took me up to the room and told me what to expect during the massage. I got undressed and settled in for the most relaxing hour Ive had in a very long time, if at all. When the massage was finished I met my fiancé in the lobby where she told me her session was amazing. We were so satisfied with our experience we even purchased some body scrub salts and a foot massage kit. If you want a relaxing day in Williamsburg this is the place to go.

So much fun and sooo relaxing. The ladies were helpful and answered every question and we had a ton. All the goodies and prices were great. We were a group of five and we kinda crowded the place since it is small but enjoyed ourselves. As far as the salt threapy I noticed a lot of mucus clearing afterward which they said would happen so I am a believer. I want to go back and try a massage.

I randomly came across the Williamsburg Salt Spa and decided to book a session for myself and my husband. This place is the first Salt Spa on the East Coast, and they offer spa sessions(45-minutes) and massage services — it is owned by Agnieszka Adamiska and her husband, Marcin Drygala. In ’08, the Williamsburg Salt Spa imported over 15 tons of therapeutic salt from Poland and Pakistan, creating a microclimate that is rich in minerals(sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, bromine and iodine). You basically cover your feet with the booties that are provided in a little wicker basket by the water fountains(or you can bring your own pair of socks; no barefeet allowed), and wait in the nicely-scented waiting room for your session. When the cave is available, you walk in(fully-clothed, no need to undress) — the Himalayan salt on the ground are supposed to ‘massage’ your feet. You then situate yourself on one of the available ‘0 Gravity’ recliners. There is soothing new age type of music playing and your purpose is just to breathe deeply in and out. The temperature is moderate at 75 degrees, and there is less than 50% humidity in there. Some may get cold, so there are thermal blankets provided on the back of your chair. I sat right by the trickling mini waterfall, so that was really nice! There has been research proven of the therapeutic values of experiencing a salt cave(treating respiratory illnesses, heart/cardio-vascular diseases, and/or vegetative nervous system malfunctions). Both my husband and I fell asleep and started snoring! AHAHA! There are only 8 recliners in there, so you do share the space with others who have reserved the same time as you. No talking or cell phones are allowed during the session so you have a peaceful session(aside from the snoring: P You reserve your spot by just giving them a call, and the friendly receptionist will ask you your preferred times/availability. You also need to arrive 10 minutes beforehand so that your session starts at the hour, on the dot(or you lose your space!). Ms. Adamiska was there and she gave us some information in regards to the salt’s health-inducing properties. It was a great unique experience! :D +reserve over the phone +no removal of clothes +tranquil and peaceful; 45 minutes in the salt cave
