The gift shop is very nice and the staff was very helpful. Ms. Bonita was kind enough to help me find a Let Freedom Ring t-shirt for my daughter’s dance performance at church. She then held it for me until I was able to leave work and pick it up. Thank you so much for your kindness! J.Jones

So, after you walk in the front door of the CW visitors center this is essentially the first place you come to. I mean sure the book store is there along with the bathrooms plus some snack area that serves food and the area where you get your tickets but this is it first thing on the left side. Now when it comes to buying crap at CW either way you’re going to leave disappointed. Why you ask? Because they sell the same things no matter where you go either here or at any of the shops on Duke of Gloucester. Like that bonnet? Great because you can buy it here or at four other places. How about those soap balls? Same thing. Hoop & Stick or Shut the Box? Yep, same thing. The point is that there is a TON of overlap between what you’ll see here and at The William Pitt Shop, Tarpley, Thompson & Company, Prentis Store, Market House and the John Greenhow Store. I’m saying that it’s 100% redundancy because there are things which are unique to every store but how many places can you keep selling the same no doubt Ye Olde Chinese«reproduction» wooden spoons, mugs and pottery that have been here for years?
