So we finally moved out from our apartment with these folks. I wish I could say things got better. There is no way to give 0 stars, so one star it is. TL; DR: our built-in-2010 apartment had a serious leak that caused the wood floor to literally buckle, and they only haphazardly fixed it; our neighbor sued them and won for illegally raising the rent and entering her apartment without permission; they tried to charge us numerous shady fees and every year, they tried to raise the rent above the legal limit(the building is covered under section 421, so they can only legally raise it a certain percentage, but they will try more anyway); on our final walk through, disinterested landlord Moses Lefkowitz rudely stayed on his cell phone the entire time and then demanded we clean the entire oven(which had been cleaned the day before we moved out) in front of him. Oh, and they never fixed the front door of the building, so there were sometimes a colorful cast of homeless people smoking, drinking and sleeping on the couch in the lobby. Now for more detail: –the company itself goes under multiple names: Waterfront Property Management, Marcy Plaza LLC etc., giving the distinct impression they’re trying to pull a fast one.(Their slogan: «Better things for a better living» is a Don Draper-back-to-the-drawingboard worthy head-scratcher. You can’t see any waterfront from their properties, either). –office staff Faigy never answers the phone, and when she does, she’s rude, dismissive or disinterested. Want something done? Expect to call 3 – 4 times. –their maintenance crews are rude and don’t show up on time. They were 2 hours late to fix a water leak because they«ran out of gas on the 278.» Wtf. –there is an illegally run permanent AirBnB apartment that the landlords let happen because they get $$ from it, too. Guests from that apartment broke into another apartment on the same floor and stole things. Zero response from management. –the fire department came once because their failure to clear out trash and recycling had caused a fire. –they had multiple warnings from the city for not properly disposing of trash. –after multiple bikes and packages were stolen, they installed cameras. They made a series of holes in the wall until they found the one they wanted for the camera. The holes were never filled, so there are holes everywhere. –prepare to fight to get your deposit back(it is possible! But may take 2 months) Bottom line: please don’t give these people any of your money. For your peace of mind and safety, just skip them.

I have been shocked at the complete lack of professionalism when dealing with this company. They’re response to maintenance and safety issues has been appalling. Every interaction I have with their office(email, phone, website) is downright rude. They treat me like it should be my privilege to live in one of their overpriced and poorly maintained buildings. The same people own and operate their properties under different names. That is, the owner and landlord are one and the same so don’t think that you can escalate property management problems to the owner. Stay away from this company if you can!

I live in one of their units now. Even though this is a new construction, there are random leaks everywhere getting pools of water, paint, drywall on our belongings. Their response has been silence. Everything that other review said is 100% accurate. We’d have to pay a sketchy $ 150 fee to renew the lease. Luckily, that won’t be necessary since I’m moving out. This building should be condemned.
