This is a great little shop with so many amazing things! We came in looking for tea but spent a lot of time browsing and enjoying the smells of all the different spices that they had to offer. The people there were incredibly knowledgeable and gave us some great suggestions for the best teas for what we were looking for. We were able to buy exactly what we wanted and more! My favorite is the Marrakesh mint tea – it reminds me of my time in Morocco! The flavored sugars are amazing! They smell exactly how they’re supposed to. Some of them are a little odd for sugar, but I was still pretty impressed by how exact the smells were to their descriptions. The spices were the same way as well. I really enjoyed spending time sampling the scents of all of the teas and spices. I can’t wait to visit again and get more tea and spices the next time I’m in Williamsburg!

Cute little shop located in the heart of Williamsburg. Has some spices that are absolutely to die for. And the flavored sugars are amazing as well. They have a small selection of teas but there are some wonderful flavors. I love the Mystic Dragon and the Earl Grey Crème. The sample tastings downstairs are only available on the weekends. But you can sniff the samples of spices every day!

I love little quaint places like this. It has sooo many tea choices for every taste buds. Downstairs you can sit and sample some tea. Great gifts for the tea lovers. Also they have hard to find seasonings, rare seasoning and gourmet seasonings. All good quality.

I stumbled upon this little gem when I was walking around Williamsburg, looking for a place to eat lunch. They had every spice I could think of! I love cooking with different spices, and it is difficult to find some in the Hampton/Newport News area. This place has it all! They have flavored salt(Bacon salt made with no bacon. that tastes like bacon) and flavored sugars. The employees are extremely friendly and give you new ideas on how some of the flavored sugars can be used(to include samples). I tried habanero lemonade and immediately purchased the habanero sugar. Another few ideas they suggested were raspberry sugar on top of freshly baked brownies or lavender lemonade. They also have great tea options from fruity to bold and caffeine to de-caffeinated. They have such a plethora of options, and some of the most amazing service! Try some of their spice blends while you’re there!

Great customer service– the sales attendant was helpful without being pushy. She let me smell a few of the spices and taste a few of the flavored sugars(like strawberry sugar!). If you’re looking for a little treat but have a limited budget, this is a nice place to try, since you can purchase spices in very small quantities. They have a great variety– good for recipes with hard to find spices.

I discovered this spice shop this weekend and it was an absolute joy! Its a tiny shop with shelves filled with spices, teas, herbs, and even flavored sugars. I feel like I didn’t get to see everything and am looking forward to making another trip back. This weekend, I tried the Herbs de Provance and the California salt-less blend which are both so wonderful. I’ve been using them on everything. I also bought the White Rose Tea which is fragrant and light. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Apparently there is a tea room downstairs and I completely forgot to check it out. I’ll update when I do! In the meantime, I highly recommend checking it out! I also got a Rewards Card. You get a punch for every $ 10 spent and after 14 punches you get $ 15 off your next purchase. I def see myself doing that: D

What a cute little spot, little like an independent Penzey’s. Plenty of spices and teas to sniff and explore. I like that they have one ounce packages already allotted out. Be sure to stroll downstairs and have a cup of tea on the house(only two choices previously brewed) but with real teacups and for nothing but a tip. I was impressed by their selection of flavored sugars, variety of spice blends and smoked salts. Staff was friendly and the hot tea hit the spot on a cold winter’s day.

A must visit if you love teas & spices! Be sure to receive your complimentary tea experience. The employees were wonderful and very helpful. Feel free to open each wonderful jar of spice, herb, custom creations, flavored sugars, smoked salt and teas and powders. Oh this place is one I could’ve stayed all day and spent myself broke(thank goodness for my husband lol). Prices were reasonable and they have an online website that you can order from and they ship worldwide OHMYGOODNESS!

I went to Virginia with my son this fall break. It was a wonderful experience. We went back to the Spice and Tea Exchange more than once. We were delighted with what we found. What a great place and in the heart of the Colonial Williamsburg area. So very wonderful! I encourage everyone to go there and get their holiday gifts. They even wrap William and Mary colors on your gift envelopes of their wonderful products. Thank you!

Very nice store, with helpful staff. We were just browsing since I have a giant spice collection at home. It was a nice place to get out of the sun for a few minutes and if I lived near by I would definitely be a regular here. They had some very interesting spice mixtures.

Such good luck to walk by there on the store’s opening day! While it’s a franchise of a national chain, the local shop has a sweet mom-and-pop feel. The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff — incredibly friendly, and their goods — interesting and high quality. They have informative books for the more unusual items.(I bought spices I normally use, but also was intrigued by something called grains of paradise, apparently also known as melegueta pepper, which we looked up together with a sales lady.) They also offer gift cards, which I plan to give to local friends. All in all, a great addition to the town!
