The place closed in January. So don’t say it is currently OPEN!

We were a group of 4 ordering 2 rabbit dishes, a pork chop dinner and a pot roast dinner. All agreed this restaurant, and this dinner, were a 5 star. Our waitress Heather answered our questions about food sourcing and recommending the dinners we all enjoyed. We were all too full for deserts. Yums all around!

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Lobster gnocchi was flavorful and creamy. The pork chop with grits and collards were fresh and cooked perfectly. Loved the atmosphere and music. Expensive but worth it if farm to table is what you are looking for. As a local would vote this the best new restaurant in Williamsburg

We enjoyed the NYE prefix dinner her last night and it was amazing! Six delicious courses which included the best soup my boyfriend said he’s ever had. I had the wine pairing with mine and the matches were perfectly done. I wish we lived closer to come back sooner but this will definitely be at the top of our list whenever we are in Williamsburg– highly recommend!

We were staying at the great wolf lodge and wanted to go out for something local. The food was great. I had the pork chop which was outstanding. The chef came by to check on us. When I asked for a drink recommendation I got a custom cocktail. Great food and a great staff.

A MUSTTRY! I stumbled across this place on accident during a stressful evening. Stephany, the manager, got us seated immediately. Our server Jonathan, per my request, picked out some amazing drinks for me to have. I asked for something whiskey or tequila based and to make it fun. The 2 drinks I had were delicious and the same goes for the gin drink with peppercorns my friend ordered. After hearing about our stressful evening, Nelson the chef stopped by at our table to make sure the rabbit and strip were perfectly cooked and flavored to our liking. The food was uneblievable. So happy that we made it to this cute farm to table restaurant and I’ll make sure to come back next time I’m in Williamsburg!!!

One of the best meals I’ve had! Every aspect of my dining experience at Silt was above and beyond. The service was wonderful, they answered all of our questions and were gracious about helping our dining guest with dozens of food allergies figure out what she could eat. Everything, from the cocktails to desert was perfect. The flavor combinations were innovative and enjoyable, our table was raving about the Rabbit and Duck dishes.

Horrible. The only good thing about the meal was our waitress and the fact that we had a gift certificate. Bread basket had homemade cornbread that was gummy. At least the bread from the bakery in Richmond had body. Kale with the pork chop was ridiculously salty and the pork belly that was served with the scallops was horrid. Never again!

Had a wonderful dinner and experience last night at Silt. Having replaced the old La Yaca location, the bar was pretty high, but they met it. Great drink, beer, and wine selection; try the silt tea if you enjoy bourbon. The artichoke dip, oysters and lobster gnocchi appetizers were seasoned and cooked excellently. My rabbit with carrot spätzle was probably the best rabbit dish I’ve had. Our waitress, Heather, was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Good selection of bourbons as well, which paired nicely with the chocolate bourbon pecan pie. While not having a children’s menu per se, they still had a couple nice options for the little ones, along with crayons and coloring pages.

What a hidden gem! Farm to fork restaurant with a very balanced menu. Hubs had the rabbit and I had the sweet tea pork… Both were well cooked with excellent sides that complimented the proteins perfectly. The service staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. We will definitely suggest this to our friends and family and look forward to dining here again.

Salt is a little off the beaten path, tucked away in corner of a strip mall. But the signage is good, just follow the arrows and you’ll get there. The space is lovely, with a beautiful hearth and rustic décor that echoes the farm-to-table theme. The oysters, rabbit, steak, and chicken were all terrific. Wine list is extensive, and prices quite reasonable.

Amazing food! Gluten Free/Allergen Friendly. Spectacular service. This is the place you’ve been searching for. With Farm to Table ingredients and a refreshing menu, Silt makes it a meal to remember. We hosted a group of 12(including a toddler), with various tastes and everyone LOVED their choice. Among the menu items are comfort dishes with special twists. Approachable, delicious food that feels like an event. The pricing is fantastic. A bit tough to locate but worth the trouble. For this GF couple, it was the kind of meal out we never expected to enjoy again. Thank you, Silt!

The chef and staff made our visit last night! Service was friendly and attentive but not hovering. Our dinners(we were 4 women) were absolutely wonderful. Two of our group took extra meals home and the waitress remembered to place the extra orders without my friends having to remind her. 2 of our gang had never been and we’re in Heaven! Shrimp etouffe and meatloaf were the entrees and salads and warm veggie tart were wonderful. Glad to see so many people there last night, even at 6 when we got there. We didn’t leave until 10 and never felt as if we were being rushed out!

My boyfriend and I were so excited to eat here for a big night. The atmosphere was cozy and rustic. Great wine and cocktail list. We each ordered a cocktail. Order the silt tea! It was amazing and unlike any cocktail I’ve had. We started out with some small plates. The fried oysters were delicious. There was so much flavor in the pickled veggies and tarter/aioli sauce. The fried oysters also just tasted so fresh. We also ordered the spring rolls which were very flavorful. For dinner we moved to chardonnays. As I said, the wine list was awesome. Boyfriend ordered the double pork chops. They were the juiciest pork chops I’ve ever had and the collards were melt in the mouth delicious. I had the rabbit. It was also cooked to perfection. I love that the chef prepared it with carrot sauce and delicious carrot spaetzle — a great play on food. To full for dessert but we’re definitely going back! Cant wait for next time — we already have a list of things we want to try.

I just read the first few words of another review. Seriously?! This is NOT comparable to Chipotle. We went there for a business dinner last night. All of the food was very good. The presentation was outstanding. Loved the atmosphere and the chef — welllll — he came out to greet us and make sure that our meal was well received.(Girls — you need to go here. The chef is kinda hot!)

WHAT A GEMOF A PLACE!!! so glad we found this place. It is farm to table. The atmosphere and décor is very nice. Friendly service. Very extensive wine list and proper wine glasses! We ordered a Brie and peaches bruschetta which were so beautiful and tasted even better than they looked. For our main entrée we chose the 24 Hr Sweet Tea Brined pork chopped and the special of the day pork tenderloin. Both were amazing. I don’t normally order pork chops when out because they are usually flavorless and dry. This pork chop blew your socks off!!! :) so tender and great flavor! The collard greens on both dishes were the most amazing greens I have ever tasted and the grits on the pork chops were fabulous! We were served sourdough bread(from a bakery in Richmond) and corn bread made at the restaurant. Both were amazing. Chef came out to meet us. Very nice touch and very nice man. You can tell he is passionate about his food. Silt is a hidden secret!!! That place is amazing. A MUST!!! I want to give it 6 stars!

If in Williamsburg, you’ll miss out if you don’t go to this restaurant! We’ll travel back from Baltimore to go again! All staff were so polite & the owner/chef came out to meet us. The Sweet Tea Brined Pork Chop was awesome– the BEST pork chops I’ve ever been served! The Double portion was more than I could usually eat, but I couldn’t stop! Husband got the ribeye, it was cooked perfectly to order and was also great. Sides were good & the Asparagus Bruschetta was a good app. Cornbread ice cream was perfect end to our meal. The specialty cocktails were also great– we had ‘day at the races’ and a ‘tea’ drink with makers Mark, yum. Please go visit to keep this place going!

An upscale Nouveau Southern restaurant in an obscure corner of Williamsburg that deserves to be much less obscure. Good vegetables, bright and vibrant flavors, and the best grits I have ever had in my life.

Silt was really fancy and romantic. A great upscale place to eat. I let our waiter choose my drink and I got the house made eggnog. It was delicious and creamy, but the perfect blend of flavors. Obviously it it not available year round, but I am confident that the other cocktails were equally as tasty. I ordered a soup and salad, both were filling and delicious. You could really tell a difference with the quality of these ingredients. Our waiter was very charismatic, easy, and responsive to food restrictions. That I appreciated. Obviously, Silt is more expensive than some of the other places in the area, but it’s perfect for a fancier evening. And, we found this place from other Unilocalers’ reviews, so thank you! :)
