OMG! Phở soup dumplings? *MINDBLOWN* These unique soup dumplings are amazing! I could literally eat these all day. When you bite into these dumplings, your mouth is filled with flavorful broth and juicy, tender pieces of beef. My biggest regret: only getting 2 Phumplings. That just means I’ll have to come back for more!

Surprised with the quality of these! Wasn’t exactly what to expect, with the whole cronut, doughissant, sushiritto, churro ice cream sandwich… HYBRIDOFANYRANDOMFOODFAD. Tried it out on my way to the train station from Smorgasburg(as if I hadn’t eaten enough). It’s like phở soup in a dumpling!(I thought there were going to be phở noodles inside, silly me.) The flavor is rich and bursting from the petite dumplings, and goes really well with the little squirt of sriracha and hoisin sauce they put on top! It’s like a xiao long bao, but with beef soup instead of pork! The skin was a good texture as well, and the staff were super friendly. :)

Passed by this little stand on my way back from Smorgasburg with my boyfriend and we both thought it was better than anything we had at Smorgasburg. We ordered 2 Phumplings for $ 5. The Phumplings were served in two small tin bowls(kind of like the pans that are used to make egg tarts) with a bit of hoison sauce and a small piece of basil on top. When we put the phumplings in our mouths, the broth spilled out and we were shocked by how good they tasted! These cute little things turned out to be monstrously AMAZING!!! After we left, we returned fifteen minutes later to get more. They were just THAT good! One star off for the price, but they were perfect otherwise.

Thought these were really awesome. I was with my boyfriend and we walked past this place(it is a little stand on the side walk) and we decided we wanted a little snack before lunch. They were little soup dumplings that came in this mini plates and they were filled with a really tender brisket type of meat. The soup was a delicious beefy broth. The presentation is really pretty — they put some siracha and a green sauce on top but i wanted more of that to add to the flavor. They are expensive though

phở + dumplings = genius As a huge fan of both phở and xiaolongbao, I was super intrigued by the concept of phumplings. I didn’t have much expectations, but thought that it would be a fun thing to try. I shared 3 dumplings(for $ 7) with my friend and were both pleasantly surprised. The broth was savory with a rich beef flavor and it felt like I was eating a bite full of phở with each phumpling. We left wanting more, but restrained because of how pricey it was. We were essentially paying the price of a full-sized bowl of phở for three measly bites. As a whole, Phumpling is definitely somewhere worth checking out if you’re already in the area. One star off because of the price. Phumpling, even though your dumplings were phở-bulous, I think I can only afford stopping by phở special occasions.

Made in VietNOM. Whoever’s wrapping these things, you can tell they’re having fun because some of them come out with a perfect spiral. I love how they’re right outside Smorgasborg, like«nah, fuck that»; I can only imagine how much it’d cost to get a booth slot there. The phumplings themselves leaves much to be desired. And by that I mean: I desire to go back. If you don’t put more hoisin sauce on, you can really taste the phở broth… phroth? And I mean REALLY taste the meat. Ladies. I don’t recommend doing that though. Phở was meant to be dipped in hoisin and just a little more and it makes the dish come together. It’s like a tasty puzzle. I think what we’re all hoping is when it becomes a brick & mortar(because it’s going to happen) it’ll be cheaper than $ 7 for 3. #SaveHannibal

I was skeptical, but when I first heard about these phumplings, I knew I had to try it. Ventured all the way out to bushwick, and they were already packed up and gone when we arrived. But I randomly walked past them as they were set up outside the Brooklyn Flea, and although we JUSTATE, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. I made the right choice. They were glorious! It’s everything great about a soup dumpling but with beef phở broth inside! The little dab of Sriracha and hoisin sauce on top and basil – perfect touch. As I waited for my dumplings, I enjoyed watching them make the dumplings. It was almost mesmerizing the ease yet perfection they created. Hope to be back for more soon!

I was so excited to try these and I was disappointed. They were stuck to their little cups so to get them out, most of the soup came out. I didn’t think it was worth it. But Phở is so PERSONAL. I like mine with mint, lime and bean sprouts. Since I didn’t taste any, I was just confused. I love the idea but maybe they need to be bigger?

It’s a PHO-BOMB! The broth is on point, with that touch of beef! The size is perfect and so worth it! Can’t wait to try the veggie version! Bonus: The makers of Phumplings are so incredibly nice! Thumbs up to family-owned businesses! Thank you for creating these pieces of food art.

Trek’d all the way to Brooklyn for this, pretty disappointing and I’ve had my share of dumplings. It was salty, not enough soup, harder to eat than other soup dumplings, dumpling shell was thin, the soup was lukewarm, and it’s EXPENSIVE. It’s 3 for $ 7, which is totally not worth it. The soup tasted like phở but the beef brisket detracted from the experience — did not taste authentic. It’s pretty tiny and the dumpling sticks to the aluminum cup. I would rather have pork soup dumplings from Joe Shanghai’s any day. Save your money, time, and effort. It’s not worth it.

Hubs was super impressed by these. As the other reviewer said, they are like soup dumplings but the soup actually tasted like beef phở! I didn’t try as they are still working on a veggie recipe. Lost one star for the crazy pricing of $ 3 for 1 dumpling, from a street vendor.

A-MAZ-ING!!! I remember reading about this and i thought… GREAT…another fusion that probably taste NOTHING to phở…(as a person growing up in the bay) and i tried it… and i shame myself for thinking badly about this so delicious… i wish i had more its like a xiao long bao… but with phở broth! the broth itself is very very beefy… almost reminds me of my mother’s soup… which i miss =(. Part of me wish there was noodles… but im just weird like that

Delicious! We’ve been trying to come check out phumplings since discovering them on Instagram months ago. Well, now that the L is back, we’ve finally made the trek from Manhattan and it was worth it. Really delicious, very different, maybe slightly too pricey(?)!
