A very unique setting for a meal. The service was expedient and super fast! Food selection was amazingly large for a small establishment and both our meals were tasty. Will visit again if we are in town.

Clean bathrooms. Virginia ham was salty(as expected and characteristic) but had a gamey taste, too. Ick. Very friendly waitress named Betty. Nice sunny environment for a gloomy fall day. OK food.

We had a fine meal, breakfast, including eggs, fantastic biscuits… nice corned beef hash & salty and delicious country ham. When in Rome, get the grits. Clean bathrooms and friendly waitstaff.

One of the worst breakfasts ever. Had to peel my menu apart it was so dirty. Orders were wrong. Food tasteless. Waitress told us the cook wasn’t giving us grits because he thought the potatoes were a better choice. Believe me, there was no good choice!

We went here today to avoid playoff traffic, since the restaurant isn’t in the heart of Williamsburg. Of the pancake houses in Williamsburg, this one is fairly disappointing. Service was slow, my blueberry pancakes were only ok, the prices weren’t great. Skip this one, go to the Colonial Pancake House or Mama Steve’s instead!

This is your typical IHOP that’s not called IHOP. They offer everything that IHOP offers without the sign out front. I had the cornbeef hash and eggs and the cornbeef hash was a bit tasteless. There was no kick to it. The biscuit that came with this seemed freshly made. The pancakes were good, but the syrup was not provided warm. Overall a good place to eat breakfast, but make sure you remember to use your 10% off coupon which I forgot to do as the waitress did not deduct it and I forgot when I went to pay for the check. There was no wait.

Was open early on Christmas morning and it was a pretty good meal. I mean whatever… it was as good as any old diner I suppose. Nice portions, mediocre yet satisfying breakfast fare. I was a bit distracted by the screaming newborn baby nearby. Décor is outdated and not very clean. I wondered how long the bowl full of creamers had been sitting on the table before we got there, but… it didn’t make me sick, so. thumbs up?

There was nothing good about this restaurant. I ordered 3 eggs over medium, rye toast and home fries. I got 2 eggs, one broken. My toast wasn’t even slightly brown and the potatoes were undercooked. Everything was cold. My waitress never checked back. When I went up to pay, the person at the register asked me how it was. I started to tell her and she walked away in the middle of my first sentence to talk to another waitress about someone who had left something. She ignored me entirely. Please don’t go have a meal here.

Went here on a Saturday morning. Very nice server seated me immediately and took my drink order. I ordered two scrambled eggs with ham, potatoes, and grits. Food was served quickly. Generous portions, great taste. Décor carries on the Gazebo theme in wall murals and seating areas. Enjoyed the pleasant classical music playing in the background. Very nice experience.

After eating here a year ago, we knew we had to return and the food and service was just as good as we had remembered. I ordered the plantation breakfast, which includes two 6-inch pancakes, a biscuit, what had to be three or four scrambled eggs, a slive of bacon, a sausage link, a sausage patty, a slice of ham and home fries. Needless to say, I was full. A friend’s four-year-old daughter ordered a Belgian waffle with strawberries and the dish had so many strawberries and whipped cream that we thought we had mistakenly ordered dessert for her. Our waitress, a grandmotherly type, doted over us and raced to grab a stack of napkins when our friend accidentally spilled coffee on the table. The best place for breakfast in our opinion.

You typical diner type restaurant except with super friendly staff. I went with an omlette and hubby had a lunch sandwich. Both of us were pleased with our meals and with the service.

Pretty good spread overall. Fresh biscuits had us thanking the waitress. I had the lumberjack breakfast or the hungry man or whatever it’s called and all of it was good. The interior is a little different with that whole gazebo thing going on and the pastures painted on the wall. But all in all we had a good meal, not overwhelming, but still, a good meal. Oh, and I drink Coffee out of my «The Gazebo Williamsburg Va» mug every day. They had them for sale in the gift shop.

Okay breakfast. Dated digs. Like another Unilocaler blogged. In a city that is replete with pancake joints, all trying to outdo one another in some way or another,(it’s gotten so crazy that there was a place called«astronomical pancake»), this place has, for some bizarro reason, built a gazebo in the center of their dining area. I guess that to the owner, the«pancake-gazebo» word association is as logical as «bacon and eggs». I could deal with that decorative faux pas but what makes the décor poor is that they are stuck in a time warp. Everything looks like it is stuck in the 1980s. They either have not upgraded for over 20 years or there was a fire sale at some 80s diner and they bought all of it-flatware included. The décor looks stale and because of that, even before getting any food, your experience feels stale The service was decent. Nice lady but there was a minor tussle with another wait staff about who would serve us.(The place was empty and neither wanted to serve us.) We went for breakfast and the food was okay. It’s hard to screw up breakfast. We chose to go to this place because there was an ad in one of the tourist books. Their ad claimed that a newspaper voted them the best breakfast in the area. Either the owner owns the newspaper or that award was given 20 years ago. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place … unless you want to relive the 80s in an indoor gazebo.

In a city that has about 30 breakfast joints on the same block, I had an enjoyable experience at the place nearest my hotel. *WARNING* This place is totally cheesy faux colonial garden themed. They even have a four table Gazebo built into the middle of their dining room. It’s completely kitsch cute, and should only be visited if you can take things like that with a grain of salt. Otherwise, the service was good. The waitress was an older southern lady who called my friend and I dear and said«y’all» a lot. I had the Sausage Gravy on Biscuits, which I was not disappointed with(i love me some sausage and biscuits) and the homefries were good but tasted like meat. The best part was that the waitress left a carafe of coffee on our table so I was able to refill my cup 4 times without waiting for her to serve me.

I didn’t order pancakes or waffles. I know what you’re thinking… WHY would I come here and not order either of the items in the name of the restaurant? Well, it was lunch time and I had pancakes the previous day. And I really wanted a sandwich. I had the chicken salad sandwich. It had pineapple pieces and raisins in it. I wasn’t sure if I’d like that combo — but it seemed to work out well. Mom had the turkey club, Alex had a egg/bacon sandwich and Dad got a salad. Friendly waitress. Nice atmosphere(the feel of a gazebo/conservatory) and decently priced.
