Stopped by here in our way out of Traverse City. the service was great with the bartender giving us several tastes before we purchase anything. We did a flight of beers and ended up sampling everything they had. Beers were $ 2.oo four ounces. The cherry beer was our favorite and we found out that this is one of the only places that uses real cherry concentrate in their beer. There is an excellent wings truck that is sitting in the parking lot. We will be back!

The beer is not bad. If Traverse City didn’t have so many other great micro-breweries, I would probably rate Bravo Zulu higher.

Loved the whole idea of this place and the bartender was awesome. Tried a flight of beer, the maple one was the most interesting. It was like a mapley sweet lager. American rye IPA was also great. Would recommend checking this place out.

Please update your website to your actual hours since we drove all the way out there picked up a pizza to eat at your establishment only to find out you are closed Sunday’s and had to eat pizza in the car. Your website clearly says open Sunday’s and closed Monday’s.

Fun night out. Beer was good, not real expensive. Had a singer entertaining for a few hours. Good location. Close to Traverse City. You can bring food in too. Enjoy!

Decent beers, friendly service. They have nine beers on tap, all decent examples of their kind. A few are really tasty, and none are bad. They’ll do a growler of anything on tap, and they have a bunch pre-ready in a fridge. The tasting room is a nice big open space with big windows. There’s a pizza stand that seems to have set up in the parking lot, which is convenient. Not a lot of bathroomage. Plenty of parking.

Not a fan at all. Got a beer flight and was shocked it was $ 17 dollars. Did not like one single bee and I’m all about the micro brews.

On a recent trip to Traverse City I was staying at the Grand Traverse Lodge just up the road so I stopped in here on the way back one evening. The location is an old Mazda dealership and has that feel that creates a strange first impression when you are looking at it from outside. After you walk in(as you would guess it is all military themed) there is a small bar that can seat around 8 people with 2 TVs and then a huge room that has a bunch of tables. There were only around 4 other people in the place around 8:30 on a weekend night. The bartender was super friendly and provided the menu of their 6 or so beers they had. The girlfriend and I got different beers and both of them were just average, nothing special. The set up is strange here. I do really support the owner being a vet and having this place be a nice hangout for other veterans. It just isn’t a place that I would go to for a beer or food — there are other places I would rather visit first.

Eh… it was ok. An eclectic crowd for sure. The beer was great and staff was pretty friendly. It was clean but other than that there was really no atmosphere. We spent most of our discussion trying to decide whether it was an old care dealership or family video. There are not a whole lot of choices in the area so if you are looking for a clean bar that serves beer this is the place to go. If you are looking for good food and ambiance skip it. I do have to say that we appreciate that they are supportive of our country’s veterans. Will we be back? Probably not. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from trying it though.

This is a great place to come and have a beer! The staff is friendly and the owner is awesome! Very down to earth and relaxing! They just hired a new brewer and all of the beers are excellent! I didn’t use to be a beer drinker and now I am… I like almost all of them! They currently don’t have food, but have a lot of different delivery menus and allow you to bring your own food in! This is definitely one of my favorite and most frequented locations!

I am not a beer drinker but, after having a sour cherry margarita at Red Mesa Grill, I sacrificed for my husband and we stopped at Bravo Zulu Brewery. According to him, the All American Pale Ale was very good and the Dirty Blonde was good. For me, I actually enjoyed the Tart Trail Cherry Ale and I would order it again. Any brewery that serves a «beer» that I like gets 5 stars. The theme and ambiance of the place gets 5 stars as well. It is dedicated to honoring those who have served their country in all forms such as the military, police, EMS and firefighter which means a lot to my husband and me. In addition, read the story about the owner near the bathroom… He is quite an inspiration to everyone. To this place… bravo zulu!

Bring coins for pool and golden tee! This place opened up mid-December 2013 and we’ve just discovered it. We had the porter and it was very tasty! I really enjoyed the theme — they are very big on supporting our troops and have memorabilia all over the building! We’ll be back!
