I dropped by here for trivia with my girlfriend and her boyfriend and one of my friends on Wednesday. I don’t think they serve food, but you can bring take out in, which is what we did. This place is cool, really chill and very inviting. Their IPA is super IPA. I’m gonna be honest with you, it was strong! Their trivia is ridiculous. I’ve never felt that dumb in my life and normally I KILL it at trivia. One whole round of just Parks and Rec questions?! By that time, I’ve already had a decent amount to drink, so I can’t really comment on anything else but their trivia is super hard and their beer is pretty good.

First time at this brewery and went on the tour. Corbin was our guide and was very knowledgeable. Overall I throughly enjoyed my time visiting. Delicious and a very good variety of beers to choose from. Will definitely return to try more beers!

We went for the tour… and stayed for the great beers! Employees/owners were knowledgeable and friendly. The pretzels were to die for. We’ll go back again.

To my fellow beer enthusiasts, I have frequented Williamsburg Alewerks on several occasions. Recently my wife, Darla Kurak, went there to pick up a growler for me for Christmas. When she arrived there, the person behind the bar was an individual she indirectly worked with at our local humane society. This person totally ignored her. He refused to wait on her and let her stand there for the better part of fifteen to twenty minutes without as much as an acknowledgement of her presence. Needless to say, she ended walking out empty handed. Because of the way this individual treated my wife, I will never set foot in Alewerks again. I encourage all of my local friends that go there to stop going. This behavior was uncalled for, rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional! I gave them a terrible rating on their Facebook page and I am starting a social media rant against them! All of us that work with the public know that it only takes one negative experience to drive a customer away. The person that is employed at Alewerks that treated my wife with such disrespect, you know who you are, I hope you get fired! Goodbye Alewerks! I will miss you!

We loved this tour. Although it is a small craft brewery, the tour guide was excellent. He had a great sense of humor and interesting beer facts. The tour with a flight of beer was a bargain at 9 dollars. We sampled 5 beers and got to take an Aleworks glass home with us. We will definitely come bAck here the next time we visit and do a full flight of beer!

Great beer and excellent service — Valerie was very knowledgable and helpful for my friend who«does not like beer» yet loved her pumpkin recommendation. The only issue is seating. They have very limited seating inside and if it is raining the small patio is not an option.

Tour was very enjoyable and all of the beers were good — like the fact that you can get a tasting of any on tap

Love this place! Really pleases the locals and caters to what the want. The only thing that could make it better is expanding to food.

In an industrial park with a little store off to the side of the warehouse that has a «taproom» and opportunity to sample all of their normal lineup plus seasonals. Bombers of special releases can be found here for sale to-go. Staff was friendly. You get cool little taster glasses if you buy stuff. Fun to stop by with the beer quality here ever improving over the past 5 years. Best beer is Café Royale, but is special release only.

Very impressed! My husband likes the hoppy beer and I like more malty beer, they had a great selection! Staff is friendly and the environment is relaxed and casual. We didn’t get to do the 40 min tour, but the flight of 24 different beers was enough to make us very happy beer snobs. Next time we will book a reservation online for the tour!

Always our first stop when we vacation in Williamsburg. Nice large bar and selection of beers.

This is probably a 1.5 at best, but I’m gonna give it the benefit of the doubt and hope that some tour guides were better than mine. I have on several tours(wineries, breweries, distilleries…) and this was the worst. The guy barely took us inside the brewery – we basically stood just inside the doorway. He was very monotone, and didn’t really seem to know what he was talking about(more avoided questions, than answered.) The beer tasting was mediocre as well. The beers themselves were good, but they had us all(25 – 30) stand around in a room, and get served the beers out of two taps, so since there were 5 – 6 beers, this took quite a while. Perhaps they could’ve used pitchers to move it along? I’m not sure, it just wasn’t great.

We walked in looking for a cheap tour and something to past the time, then we saw all the beers on tap and we then proceeded to order a ten flight and tried them all as my wife and I a little while later and a little bit buzzed we decided to stay for the live music and snacks. we never took the tour but we were happy with everything … Doing the tour tomorrow.

Brewery tour was ok but the beer tasting was on point! Got to try 5 different beers all of which were very tasty. Will definitely be returning for more expertly crafted ales.

Top-notch craft beer in Williamsburg. Come for the amazing year ’round brews like Shorty Time IPA and the outstanding Coffee House Stout. Come back for award winning seasonal beers like Pumpkin Ale and my personal favorite, Bitter Valentine. Take a brewery tour and tasting, or just come for the coolest cats in town manning the taps. Five stars.

So glad I found this place! It seems like a great bar on its own. But the brewery tour was cheap, just a few dollars. You get to see where the beer is brewed. It’s not too fancy because it’s such a small-scale brewery. However, you can feel the intimacy of it, the hard work that goes in to bottling up each bottle of beer. After the tour, you get to taste every beer on tap and keep your own glass. Absolutely worth the money and made me want to support this small business!

This was a cute brewery — a bit off the beaten path, but they always are. I did a flight of all the beers they had on tap at the time. They were pretty good, but I’m not picky when it comes to beer. My only qualms are that the staff was not remarkably friendly, but I feel like that is the brewery culture. Also, my flight of 74-oz pours came out to $ 20 — a bit steep. I would probably suggest you check out the local vineyards over this brewery unless you are a beer person.

Somewhat off the beaten path. Worth the stop in. It’s in what you might call an industrial setting but they have a nice selection of craft brews. They are know for their pumplin ale that you can only purchase by the bottle.

I tagged along with some friends today to check out this microbrewery, not really knowing what to expect and not really knowing much about the brewing process. I did know that the tour was $ 6, but had no idea how much bang I would get for my buck. We started off in the brewhouse, where our tour guide went over a brief history of beer and spoke about the process of brewing different types of beer. Very informative. After the tour we headed back to the shop, where we tasted all of their signature beers– 6 or 7 in total, in souvenir tasting glasses that we got to keep(will make a nice double shot glass!). At the end you can fill up a growler for a really good price. It ended up being a lot of fun and I discovered their Christmas brew, which is AMAZING! If you get there a bit early, you can start early by grabbing a pint for a reasonable price. Seriously good deal.
