I don’t often give 5 stars, but this place, in the middle of nowhere with a captive audience, goes out if their way to make outstanding Mexican cuisine and very friendly customer service to boot. Right off the bat, they give you chips and salsa, like any other Mexican restaurant; HOWEVER, THISSALSAISTHEBEST I’VEEVERHAD!!! I grew up in a half Mexican family. I know great salsa when I eat it. I’ve been eating salsa since I was 2. Sorry mom, this is even better than yours. As a bonus, they sell the salsa to go in pint size plastic containers.

The food was so good, the price was very reasonable, and Jennifer(our server) was delightful. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. We were driving on 10 well past lunchtime on our way to Albuquerque. We followed the signs to Wilcox and found this wonderful little Mexican restaurant. Be sure and give it a try. You won’t regret it.

Great food and kids meals. Salsa was delicious. It was clean and had a good atmosphere. Only negative is that it was a little pricy. 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals was over $ 40

I like this place. I brought my crew of workers here a few times and we all loved it. The owner is very nice and friendly. Her husband owns the BBQ place across the street. Try both do the restaurant thing very well. Shrimp tacos, carne asada both great. Good place for lunch or dinner.

Not much to say about Isabel’s. Tasty food, good portion size, clean bathrooms & fabulous hostess/waitress Darlene. She was super attentive, helped us get the lay of the land since we are only in Wilcox @ the Sagebrush RV Park for the night until we take off for New Mexico in the morning, then on to the rest of the U.S. She also gave us the 411 on where to go & where NOT to go. The Mexican food here in AZ is very different than what you would find in CA, but we enjoyed it. We had the 3-way combo(chicken enchilada, taco & flauta) w/charro beans(whole pinto wet w/onions & peppers) & the chicken fajitas w/refried beans. We also had a raspberry iced tea & horchata. Was delish & quick. Just like we like it. Thanks for the service w/a smile Darlene!

I really enjoy their shrimp tacos… It seems to be my staple! There are not too many good options in Willcox, and Isabella’s is definitely high on the list of places to come back too. We really enjoy their atmosphere and service.

Very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant in the tiny town of Willcox. We are Texans, so we know Tex-Mex. For some reason, they call burritos«burros» but otherwise, a fairly typical Tex-Mex menu. My daughter devoured her burro, and my younger daughter loved the chicken salad. I ordered the enchiladas with green sauce, which were delicious with corn tortillas. Hubby had the chimichanga, which was also very good. No margaritas, but a good beer selection. Check out this place if you are driving through!

Just stopped at Isabel’s for a late lunch. We did not want a big meal. The very helpful waitress suggested an appetizer — cheese crisp with beef. It is sort of like a pizza but has a thin tortilla crust. It was excellent and just what we wanted for a lite lunch. Wish we had time to look around the Museum and several shops right here in the historic area. Well worth the few minutes away from I-10.

Found this place beside the Wilcox museum around the corner from the historic district of Wilcox. It is a smallish little restaurant decorated in true Mexican style. Friendly staff and about ½ full if customers when we went in. The menu was traditional Mexican and seafood meals. We had 4 people & ordered shredded beef tacos, Mia Mia fish tacos and carne asada steaks. All were delicious. Served with refried beans and fried rice. they use cabbage and not ice burg lettuce as is the norm for real Mexican food. The chips brought before the meal were freshly made & the salsa was a bit warm. The way we like. They have a great assortment if Mexican and American beers. The price of our meals was about $ 10 a piece. I posted 2 pictures. We would recommend eating here.

Not exactly authentic Mexican food if you are from Southern California. The food is not horrible but it’s was not one of our best Mexican food. However, the salsa was delicious! The pricing was a little high for typical Mexican food. This is a good place to stop before the long stretch to El Paso, Texas!

This place is great! If you are passing by Wilcox it’s well worth the time to come to Isabella’s. Take a look at old downtown Wilcox. It is really neat. Very cute. Lots of interesting shops in beautiful old buildings, including Isabella’s. Inside you’ll see Isabella’s is not only festively decorated but also spotlessly clean. The service is competent and friendly. They want you to be pleased. The salsa is fantastic(took some home with me)! I had the shrimp tacos dinner with rice and charro beans. The rice is light and fluffy. The charro beans are flavorful. The shrimp tacos on soft corn tortillas were great. Several flavors together … Tantalizing! None of the dishes were heavy or greasy which is the main reason I don’t eat Mexican too often. Go eat at Isabella’s. It’s a really good restaurant. Yum!

Wow… Im picky when it comes to authentic Mexican food. .had the carne asada chimi. …it was absolutely fabulous. …meat was seasoned perfectly. .it was a little dry but it was flavorful, charro beans could have used a little more of bacon flavor, but overall it was great… got off the wrong foot when we first sat down but it was busy… so understood… definitely coming back..

Salsa was tasty, we would recommend the beef tacos(shredded beef) and the chimichanga was huge. Guacamole was average. We would defiantly stop in again.

Recently opened(May 2013) Mexican restaurant in downtown Willcox, AZ. Run by the wife of Big Tex’s BBQ across the street, this restaurant has the same great quality of food minus the BBQ sauce. My wife and I have had the enchiladas(very good, but small) and shredded beef chimichanga(very tasty meet, but no cheese/beans). The inside of the place is very clean and new, and service has always been great. If you’re driving through and want to relax while eating some tasty Mexican food, give Isabella’s a try.
