Prices are relatively cheap but the food was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this place. The food was very bland and not very good.

At best, the food is very average. I ordered the Hibachi steak, medium-​I got very well done and flavorless. Everything was bland. Our server was awesome – attentive and friendly.

This was my first time eating here. A friend had suggested this place. She said the food here was good. And that it was like the Koto’s in town — and owned by the same people.
It’s kind of like Shiki’s in Elkin, if you’ve ever ate there before.
This place shares the same building with the hotel. In fact, the bathroom that they showed to my friend was the hotel’s. FYI she said not to use the bathroom there as it was not clean. I didn’t go check it out, so let’s just take my friend’s word on it.
The waitress brought us out each a bowl of clear broth soup that had some scallions and a mushroom in it. I drank mine. It was good.
I ordered the jumbo shrimp plate and I think it was around $ 7.25. My other friend who joined us, asked if she could eat from the kid’s menu, was allowed, and ordered the kids shrimp plate. It was honestly the same portion as mine except that her shrimp was smaller (in size, not quanitity), and my shrimp came with the tails on, and hers didn’t. I think the kids plate was $ 3.25, so next time, I will order that and save myself $ 4!
The plate came with the shrimp, on some rice that was salty for me!!!, a side of round carrots which tasted really sweet for me, and a side of that sauce. I tried the carrots, but passed on them because they honestly were sweet. Kind of like candied carrots, if there is such a thing. I ate everything else on my plate. I tried the dipping sauce a few times, but I didn’t really like it.
If I had to compare this place to Shiki’s, I’d say go to Shiki’s. But I’m going to try the Koto’s place in town too. Yeah, I hear they’re owned by the same place, but I might like it better. The only difference, I hear, is that this location has sushi.
So please, if you read this, use someone else’s bathroom before coming here, and if they’ll let you, order from the kids section. Same size, less $$$
