Good diner style meals at a very affordable price. We dined here Jan. 2, 2016. The hamburger steak special was $ 4.99 for a nice portion of beef (8 oz. approx.) & 2 vegetables. Add a one trip salad bar for a few more $. The salad bar was fantastic– very fresh with a variety of selections. The hamburger steak was excellent. I love a big rib eye as good as anyone, but a hamburger steak is comfort food for me. Add a batch of crispy crinkle fries and I am in heaven.
Fried fish entrees are also very good. This restaurant offers great value for good food.
Also, the owner is well liked as seen by her interaction with customers. If you are traveling through Wilkesboro on your way to Boone, stop and give it a try!

The fish on a ‘three fish special night’ was soggy. Also, a full order of perch was two small pieces. I even enquires if I had gotten the ‘special’ size instead. (The server didn’t get back to me on that). Hush puppies were either doubled fried or microwaved, didn’t bother with them.
Didn’t use the tartar sauce. I tasted it at the end and it wasn’t my cup of tea. It surely offended my taste buds.
I will three star them as my salad was good. I appreciate the banana peppers, spinach, and that there was oil and vinegar.
I was just thinking today at dinner, if I could have picked a restaurant to survive the mall’s closing it would have been: Corn Dog 7.

Great salad bar! Dinner was delicious. We had spaghetti supreme & cheeseburger. Great little find in the town of Wilkesboro, NC while at Dance Competition.
