I was expecting to be a little more impressed than I was. The prices are a bit high and some of the waitstaff just seemed like they didn’t want to be there. I ordered the fish stuffed with crabmeat and it was just fish stuffed with crab cake, which was very mushy stuffing-like consistency and not so much crab. The rest of the family’s dishes were also not so impressive, but not horrible either. Will I come back here again? Probably not, but maybe I will in the future just to give it another chance.

If you are looking for a hearty Italian meal that will undoubtedly leave you with leftovers for lunch, then come to Pasquale’s. I felt like I was back in Italy, minus the gigantic portions — probably why Europeans aren’t as fat as us Americans. All the ingredients were extremely fresh along with their homemade bread. The fish(haddock?) that my dad ordered had the most delicate flavor with just the perfect amount of buttery goodness. My mom had this amazing carbonara that I couldn’t keep myself from sampling left and right. And I had a seafood special with a white wine butter sauce, and I will definitely say that there was a nice amount of clams, scallops, and shrimp that I surprisingly couldn’t finish, which was great for next day’s leftovers. Compliments to the Pasquale’s team. You guys know how to make Italian comfort food that satisfied my pasta craving. Thanks for an exceptional dinner xo

The food is by far some of the best italian dishes in the area along with fresh outstanding seafood. A recent redecoration has given the place a nice fresh look. Wait staff are A+. If its on the menu for the night try the egg plant lasagna. A great experience.

Their dishes are fantastic and tasty. I give it 4 stars because it could use updating and new carpet. The place has a slight odor due to the carpet, but I keep going back because the food is always good.

Years ago, before I became any sort of food critic(read: childhood), I think this place was pretty great. Many in my family felt the same way. I came back for a visit twice in the past year, both times at lunch on a Saturday. Both times the restaurant was nearly empty. Both times the service was«grumpy» and made me feel awkward. The pasta, as another reviewer mentioned, was lacking in texture and tasted old. The sauce was watery. The prices were way too much for such terrible quality. I’d have been better off buying everything to make it at home myself. I want to support local business; I really do! However, when I’m faced with the decision for Italian food, I’m going to choose Olive Garden or even Cooper’s over this dump. It’s close to home; it’s nostalgic. But the food and the good service seem to have expired long ago. The décor could also use some updating! I’d come back if they fixed the menu, changed their methods in the kitchen and gave the staff an ultimatum.

I had dinner at Pasquales restaurant the place was busy and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. You can see the staff all works together very smooth. As an appetizer I had calamari it was the best and I have been all over las Vegas Atlantic city and new York city this was absolutely by far the best. My entrée was seafood vino Bianco and my partner had lobster franchise. wow the dinner were both outstanding. As a dessert I had tira misu and my partner got a canoli 100% authentic Italian we were very happy here thank you very much for the experience Pasquale and staff you will be seeing us again

Chicken francaise was good but there was a hair in it it was short like stubble. The bread was good but not cooked thoroughly and you could taste the doughyness

Had dinner here one night a little while ago. My boyfriend got chicken parm and it looked and tasted great — fresh chicken, fresh cheese, homemade fresh marinara sauce. I ordered the gnocchi with meatballs and it was disgusting. The gnocchi was obviously frozen, the mini meatballs tasted like spaghetti-os, and the marinara sauce was terrible, not the same sauce that was on the chicken. I wouldn’t come back.

I’ve been here twice, and each time there was just something off about the dishes. With the price(12 dollars for a regular pasta dish and upwards of 15 for something with a protein), I would hope this would not be the case. The first time I ate here, I had a special with a «bacon cream sauce» or something like that. The bacon was more like ham or Canadian bacon, and in my opinion, ruined the texture of the whole dish. It was like eating thin, floppy meat in an otherwise really good pasta dish. The second time I had the fettuccine alfredo, and while their alfredo sauce was VERY good, the pasta was very much over-cooked. It reminded me of a restaurant where I used to work where they would cook all of the pasta ahead of time and keep it warm in the pasta water until it was ordered — made for a pasta that was all squish and no bite. I really hope they cooked my fettuccine fresh, in any case one would expect an Italian restaurant to always cook a pasta al dente. The bread was good, and service was pleasant. I may come back, but not any time soon.

Stopped in Wilkes-Barre, PA for the night on my trip. The staff is friendly and there seemed to be allot of families. The food was fair. The salad and the bread were the best part. My wife had the stuffed shells and it was dry. I had the gnocchi with meatballs. The sauce seemed undercooked and the meatballs were not cooked in sauce(which I preferred). Allot of the other people were eating seafood, so maybe we should have followed suit.

The best italian in the area… Why would you choose Olive Garden over a family owned italian restaurant. The bread is amazing, baked daily, always warm. The olive oil dip they give you is just so good I can’t even compare it to any other. My favorite dish is the Chicken Parm. Definitely the best chicken parm I’ve ever had. They have an extensive menu with your basic pasta dishes, to many seafood dishes, and prime rib. Highly recommend. Always excellent service as well. They have a private party room too that can be booked for parties.

Pasquale’s restaurant is the hidden gem in Wyoming Valley for Italian food. When Pasquale is cooking you are in for one of the best meals in the area. Pasquale is from Italy and understands the bridge between American and Italian tastes and he niches it well. You can’t beat the prices at all. The food is excellent, the wine selection is ok just like in Italy… nothing fancy and Pasquale is one of the nicest people you will meet.

OK, I have to admit that I am a bit leery when I am in an area where so few restaurants have Unilocal ratings at all and there are several with 5-star ratings but only 1 – 5 reviews… Feeling like Italian while staying in the Wilkes-Barre, PA area, I turned to Unilocal and that is what we found. I am a fan of smaller non-chain restaurants and we wanted more than pizza. I found Pasquale’s and saw 5-stars and only 4 reviews and figured it must be family and friends, but we gave it a try. They were not very busy on a Wednesday night. I have to admit to being very surprised! I actually went in looking to pick it a part a bit — we have eaten our share of REALLY good Italian! Our dishes were Baked Ziti with a side of meatballs and Chicken Saltimbocca. The pasta was delicious as were the meatballs which were covered in a fresh tomato sauce, though the pasta was *slightly* overcooked. The Saltimbocca was outstanding, though served with what appeared to be canned green beans… Tiramisu was very good, especially when combined with a nice hot cup of coffee. Server and staff were very pleasant. Both booths and tables are available as well as a room for larger parties.

Holy sh*t. Absolutely incredible food. I have only eaten here once, but it was an unbelievable experience. It’s too bad that most people who don’t live in the Wilkes-Barre area will never get to experience this gem. The bread might have been the most amazing bread I have ever had(it is competing with Joe’s in the Short Hills Mall for the top spot). I had the fettucini alfredo and it was just awesome.

Upscale fine dining. The menu items were authentic Italian and reasonably priced. It was a perfect setting for celebrating my husband’s birthday.
