I have to admit — I love Gerrity’s! Especially this one. I like to shop locally whenever I can. I love Wegmans, but I can’t handle the traffic and it is overwhelming inside. So, Gerrity’s is my go-to! They have good sales and I love their spinach dip, chicken tenders, and mashed potatoes. Their prepackaged pasta is a bit bland. They seriously have the best doughnuts, and I like their bagels and croissants. My friend who lives in the Lehigh Valley dreams of Mom’s fresh Italian bread and the dill dip! Staff is courteous. Quite a few locations.

Gerrity’s is not up to standard among area supermarkets. I’m as big a fan for local businesses as anyone, but this is never my first choice. You just don’t see the selection, cleanliness, or organization as some of the competitors. In this case, this location also suffers from a horrendous parking lot. The drivers are so old they appear as though they are clinging to the wheel for their lives and just hoping no one hits their car. And there are shopping carts everywhere. Last time I was there I actually saw a shopping cart withdrawing money from the PNCATM. It was really something special, but the grocery store was not.

Horrible people who work there, especially the girls who check out your order. Very nosey, really bad attitudes. I have been shopping there faithfully now for years spending a lot of money. I will not shop there anymore. Deki is useless, they need to do more work and less talking and pay attention. Seadood and butcher dept are terrible, shelves are never stocked, they stock on a Sunday when the place is crowded and no one cares.

First off, The biggest plus for me is that Gerrity’s has a ton of people working at the store. They easily have 5 – 6 people in the meat section(making sure you can get your order and be out quickly to continue shopping). Plenty of cashiers as well makes sure that you don’t spend a lot of time waiting to cash out either. Their selection isn’t that bad either and they always have plenty of good deals. One flaw the store has is the layout. Aisles are packed a bit too tightly. This makes it tough to move about at times, Especially when the store has a lot of customers. Also, as Angela said before me, their parking lot is horrible. Not enough areas to place your cart, Resulting in carts being placed all over the parking lot, Which can potentially damage your vehicle. I also wish people weren’t so lazy to put their carts away but then again, You do sort of have to go out of your way to put your cart away so I can understand why they do it. Also, The drivers are terrible. I’ve been the store 2 times, Each time I was nearly hit 3 times. Mostly due to the fact that the drivers are elderly(a majority of their buyers, from what I have seen both times I have went there, are elderly — 50+) and their ability to drive has gotten worst as they aged. I think they really need to address their parking lot issues as quickly as possible. It’s easily the worst thing about their store. Other then that, It’s a solid store. It has quickly replaced Price Chopper as my main supermarket. It’s worth checking out if you are looking for a new place to shop.

I like their sales and their bakery is really great. Often times I find their produce to be MUCH fresher than Wegmans. They don’t have the selection that Weggie’s does, true, but for a spot close to home, it’s pretty good. My only gripe would be that the customers in this location never seem to put their carts away! Twice my car was hit by random flying carts in the parking lot. The last time it happened, right afterward I watched a woman walk two steps from her car and just leave a cart in a different parking space. STOPBEINGLAZY, PEOPLE.
