Stopped in for a delicious, casual dinner while visiting Wilkes-Barre for a family reunion. We were a party of 9, including a couple of picky eaters, but our waitress was a pro. The menu is extensive and the portions were large enough to leave with leftovers.

Love the old-time-home feeling you get when you walk in. GREAT coffee(Ellis). We had a ham and cheese omelet with two eggs and another two eggs with toast and extra-crispy home fries, plus two coffees. With tax and tip, $ 20 flat(and we even missed the specials). You could really walk here from Mohegan Sun. Lounge attached. Open 24 hours

Quite good diner food, served fast with large portions. Tasty and friendly, right off the highway. I liked this place. Seated immediately, I was able to order a ham and cheese omelet right away. It doesn’t come with the home fries, which might be nice for the folks who are looking to cut back. But for growing boys like me, get ‘em. They’re delish. Nice large omelet and only one small bit of shell tucked in there. Ouch. Plenty of ham, plenty of cheese. A really well done pile of breakfast! I would totally return.

Good place to eat whether it’s breakfast lunch or dinner. Decent prices as well and a friendly staff. If you feel like gambling, the casino is right across the street.

Very attentive wait staff. Food was hearty and had a home cooked feel. Diner’s seem like a fading business. Remember to visit your local and not so local Diner’s.

We entered the diner and were immediately ignored by the waitstaff. I inquired aloud as to whether to seat ourselves but was again met with silence from the two waitresses. After 5 minutes of waiting, a «waitress» advised us that we could sit anywhere we’d like. The only seat I chose was that of my car to find a place with decent service. Avoid.

It’s a diner. It’s cheap. Hard to ask for more. I got the #3 special, which comes with two eggs(got them over hard), and swapped out the bacon for sausage. It came with four slices of toast, homefries, your choice of coffee or tea. The home fries taste great with good ol Heinz ketchup.

open 24 hours. food is greasy and average. CASHONLY. fine place to go after the bar closes. the reason I am rating so low: because I am hoping the owners will read this and change their policies. my two friends and I [three people total] were told we could not play scrabble during our meal. this was not during a meal rush — it was on a very slow weekday afternoon after lunch. the place can probably seat a hundred, but only two tables were occupied — one by the 3 of us, and one by an elderly couple — and we had already ordered our food & started our game when a waitress came over and said we couldn’t play anymore. we thought she was kidding — we came there just to play scrabble, the place was empty, and we had already set everything up! waitress was not happy & said management was just very firm on this, no games, and scolded us as though we should have known better. didn’t matter that we all ordered meals or that there was nobody else there. so we sat there staring at each other in the empty restaurant, ate our meal feeling sufficiently admonished, never saw the waitress until she brought the check. i have yet to go back. rules are rules i guess…

Traditional dinner fare, breakfast served all day. The best coffee under the sun. Eddie’s has awesome fries with gravy and cheese ! Retro diner with great homestyle cooking. I love that they are open 24 hrs but wish they took credit cards. Wait staff is friendly

This place is basically your standard diner. However, the one thing that keeps me coming back here is the French Onion Soup. I know, it sounds weird for a diner in a trailer to have good French Onion, but it’s literally the best I have ever tried, and I have tried A LOT. I had cream of mushroom here before too and its delicious, but I just need their French Onion pretty often because I just love it. Other than that, they make a good turkey club and have decent breakfast. I go here when I just want something cheap and quick and I always recommend it to people. Its nothing special but I enjoy it.

Breakfast served all day and night. Home fries are awesome. Fast kind service, gross bathrooms whole building could use a scrub down. CASH only they have an ATM on site.

I get that it is open after the bars close, but not even a case of the late-night munch would bring me back here. Service is horrible, and the food is worse.

I went here a few days ago and ordered a cheeseburger. It was clearly a frozen, processes beef patty and the burger bun was falling apart completely. The fries that came with my burger tasted horrible and sour as if they were cooked in really old oil. I did like the coffee though. Wouldn’t go back. Ever.

I love Eddie’s. It is typical diner food… so if you go expecting more than that you will probably be disappointed. Their gravy fries are what keep me coming back, they are fantastic and a must try if you go. Service is good for the most part unless you get the one waitress who is ancient. Then you may be waiting for a while for things you ask for(refills, dressing, napkins) if she remembers at all. One thing to keep in mind is they only take CASH as payment! Very inconvenient in this day and age. Overall worth visiting if you are in the mood for diner food.

Local dive diner. Definitely lots of people in and out of this place. I was pleasantly surprised with my meal. The omelets are good, a big pile of food, a little blan but a little hot sauce, salt and pepper solved that. The coffee was great. The cheesteak special looked pretty darn good. The service was cool, a little slow though. I’d have no problem eating here again.

If you’re under 21 and cannot yet go to any of Wilkes-Barre’s illustrious bars… you’ve probably been to Eddie’s more times than you’d like to admit. A smoky old-school diner with overpriced food but the best coffee you’ll find in the area tends to be a local hangout for the underaged and the hipsters of Wilkes-Barre. Because that’s not an oxymoron. Pretty good breakfast food and fries… what you’d expect from a diner, I’d say. Minus a star for always leaving smelling like smoke and minus another for much too expensive food. Add a star back for having a constant flow of excellent coffee.
