Friendly little breakfast and lunch café just off the Public Square in downtown WIlkes-Barre. A couple of other customers, but the very nice lady working the counter took my order(the breakfast special), cooked it herself and even brought it to my table. I was not expecting her to bring it to the table! Very nice meal, plenty of potatoes and eggs with cheese. The toast was done perfectly. Very inexpensive. I can see returning to here soon.

Excellent. Had the wrap and it was outstanding. Good service, quick. Convenient location. House blend coffee was a little blah but otherwise really good.

This is the second time I’ve eaten here, and neither times I was left impressed. There are just too many great places to get lunch around town to settle for mediocre fare. Today I had a burger, and it tasted akin to the kind I get at my job’s cafeteria. The free bag of chips is nice, but I’d rather spend 7 dollars on something more delicious. I’d agree with another reviewer who stated that you’re better off paying a little more for better quality food elsewhere around town.

Delicious, home cooked, traditional food! My co-workers and I have lunch delivered at LEAST once a week. The services are always prompt and the prices are outstanding. This is a family-owned, family-run restaurant and customer service is always their top priority. By far, the BEST burgers on the Square(and all of downtown Wilkes-Barre, for that matter)! From their halushki to smoked pulled pork, quesadillas to Cuban sandwiches, everything is delicious! The staff is always kind and courteous and the woman taking the orders is quick to greet you by name! I also cannot say enough good things about their catering services! They catered our work Christmas party and everything was perfect! Chicken Francaise, New York Style Mac & Cheese, and Crab Meat Stuffed Mushrooms?! Out of this world! Bravo, Center City Café! Bravo!

I had egg and cheese bagel which was simple but delicious, boyfriend had lobster bisque he enjoyed. Simple but good service and good food.

I could describe Center City Café as the poor man’s Circles on the Square — referring both to the price and quality of their food. You might save a few dollars by going to Center City instead of walking across the street and eating lunch at Circles, but your taste buds will suffer for it. I have ordered takeout from Center City Café a few times because the daily specials listed on their Facebook sounded appetizing. Each time, my lunch arrived incomplete or with food items I did not order. I don’t know if the lady on the phone copied down my order incorrectly or if the chef felt like cooking something else and I was victim to his whims. Center City Café might be good enough for a quick snack or bowl of soup, but there are better lunch spots located within the downtown area.

They catered a hot breakfast buffet for my work and did everything right — followed up, arrived end-of-business the day prior to set up, arrived on time the morning of, etc. Everyone enjoyed the food and service was great. Would recommend.
