I have to say I always get Rick’s seafood when I come down here but now I will come here instead. Just as good quality seafood at a better price. And people with a better personality.

We LOVE Hooked Up! Get the steamed clams– they are incredible! Everything we had(blackened fish, fried seafood platters, onion rings, clam chowder) was soooo delicious. Great, quaint locale– picnic tables right by fishing boats. BYOB!!!

Small quaint roadside joint. Uncrowded on a holiday weekend which was a plus. Fresh caught fish. Our kind of place.

Great seafood at decent price. Here are some takeaways I got from this place: — If you cannot stand more than half a tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning in your mouth, ask for less Old Bay seasoning on your blue crabs. — The medium crabs are slightly bigger than the small crabs so choose at your discretion. — If you are not a big fan of smelling engine fumes while eating, try to sit closer to the kitchen side. — Since you are sitting outside, there will be insects. — Two dozen small blue crabs, a pot of steamed clams, a pint of chowder, and cocktail shrimp should be more than enough to feed four hungry people = under $ 100 — Be prepared to share table with other people if you cannot fill up the entire table as a group Definitely order the clam chowder(they do not skimp on the clams) and the blue crabs!

This place is cool. But imho the food it’s just okay. I had the fish tacos, my husband had the fried platter and kids had chicken fingers which out of all we ordered I think were the best

Delicious food. Great for takeout, loved the fish tacos, wife really liked the crab cakes. Stone crab legs were pretty good. I hope next time we can find the time to sit at the tables and crack into some blues. Service was very fast, and very friendly.

Can’t say enough about the food here. The entrees are limited but exceptionally excellent. I love the freshness & the portions. I go back again & again only to be satisfied EVERY time. The staff is efficient & organized for how busy they are. AND sitting out enjoying your meal right on the dock & water is EXCELLENT. I wish they would stay open just a bit longer in the Fall so the working locals could have a chance to really sit & enjoy after the busy of the summer is over. But nonetheless, always looking forward to my next meal!

Before I came and I looked at the review, I was mistaken that this was a restaurant. I definitely wasn’t expecting to sit at a table behind the tiny take out«restaurant» with plastic utensils and a tiny wooden hammer to demolish my crabs. but in reality, i don’t need a fancy restaurant to demolish blue crabs, i just need the right weapons. I go HAMM on crabs and essentials are a metal crab cracker, wooden hammer and a metal fork. I did what I could with plastic utensils. The crabs were great along with the seasoning but I just wasn’t impressed with the service. My clam chowder soup was ICECOLD. I told them I was eating there, hence why I asked for the metal forks and and crackers(which they didnt have at a crab shack –_-) so I don’t know why heating up my soup wouldn’t be done. If it wasn’t for the decent seasoning on the crabs, I would definitely give this place a one star.

My family and I were vacationing and wanted some steamed crabs. I called around pricing them and every place except this one had crabs $ 40/dozen. This was the only place that had the option of $ 40 and $ 25/dozen. We went with the smaller ones since we were feeding a large group. They were still a good size and flavorful! We also had corn on the cob which were cooked on the spot and very fresh! I will definitely visit again when in Wildwood. Oh yes! And the girls at the register were so friendly!

So glad we tried this place. It’s now our«go to» simple seafood restaurant in Wildwood. Picnic tables, no inside seating and fabulous super fresh extremely well prepared food. I had the fried seafood combo which had a very light yet very crispy buttermilk batter. Not greasy at all. The fried cod on it was great, moist & tasty. The huge fried shrimp were the best I’ve ever had anywhere. The crab cakes while not jumbo lump crab were big, and very flavorful, full of crab meat. The chowder is the thinner lighter new England type but really good. It had more clam(tender too) than the last 3 cups at other restaurants combined. With tender potato and celery with bacon. They also have grilled it blackened catch of the day(which they actually catch thrmselves) and hot dogs and chicken fingers for non-seafood eaters. I’m going back real soon!

Visited from Florida, have had better down south. A lot of fried food, not the place for health eaters. Tacos were average. You can bring beer and drink outside which was cool.

Amazing home made sea food! Strong recommend! #1 sea food restaurant in Cape May! You can’t miss the clams! And they also offer the fresh fish of the day.

Cleary a family run, mom and pop shop– which I love to support! Taco’s where excellent– and I housed the clams I ordered. My BF had a fish sandwich which looked fantastic, but alas, I didn’t steal a bite. It’s not cheap, but the quality is there and the fish fresh. If you plan on eating by the dock, bring some bug spray– my only complaint!

Came here on Thursday at noon and they weren’t opened yet. Spoke with the boys working at the shack and they opened up for us! Ordered fish tacos and onion rings… Both were AMAZING! Tacos had a mango/pineapple salsa with a great sauce. Everything was seasoned perfectly, delish! And try their onion rings! Lightly battered straw onion rings with an amazing seasoning, yum! FYI — Check out their specials of the day when you get there and PS… they also do take out! If you’re eating there, it’s casual picnic table dining on the dock. On a nice day, enjoy your food outside with a light breeze! As we were pulling up, they were just bringing in the catch of the day and were cutting up all the fish. Definitely worth the stop if you’re in the area!

Came here with a group of friends to have our first dinner in Wildwood at Hooked up! We ordered a bunch of crabs, peel and eat shrimp, onion rings, and french fries. The crab was really fresh and tasty. The shrimp was good as well, but not as good as the crab. The onion rings were batter lightly, which was really yummy since it wasn’t so heavily coated. Crabs were delicious and so was the shrimp. Best part is that you can BYOB! :D If I ever come back to Hooked Up, I definitely want to try the oyster and stone crab claws.
