JLS Landscaping

Gave him $ 40 to do my yard and then he never showed up. Essentially, my money was stolen from me. I wouldn’t do business with him if I was you!

I would never recomend a company who works like a scam artist! Hired this company to do a clean up and biweekly landscaping. Came on 6÷25÷15 and weeded the planter area and was supposed to come back the next day to finish the clean up and mow the lawn. Gave a check for $ 60 for biweekly service and would’ve given the rest of the money ($ 35 for clean up) upon his return for clean up. Unfortunately he has yet to show up and finish. And has yet to even start biweekly service. I’ve been given a multitude of excuses ie: car trouble, family issues etc. they keep telling me they’ll show up tomorrow, well tomorrow has yet to come and it is now 7÷7÷15. took my money, ran with it and never finished the job. They have had plenty of time to show up and do what they promised but I feel like I have been robbed. Why would a company have the audacity to cash someone’s check but refuse to do the work as promised? Only good thing I can say is the work that was preformed was good and he was a nice person. Unfortunately he doesn’t do the job as promised or even finish mowing the lawn! I gave 5 stars because everyone needs to know how bad of a company this is so they don’t get scammed like I was!

I started my business with Jasper Smith or JLS Landscaping not even a month ago. The positive that I can share with you is that he does a great job removing weeds and clearing dirt areas. But unfortunately, the negative outweighs the positive. He tried to use the old bait and switch on me, where he quoted me a price and then when he didn’t have enough materials to finish the job, he wanted to charge me more money. What kind of real landscaping company would do that? He also tried to cover up his bad work. He didn’t buy enough fabric covering for the area that was supposed to have bark or mulch over it, so he lied and said he talked to me about it and I said it was ok to not have coverage in those areas. There is no way that I would tell a landscaping company to not do the job correctly. He refused to come back and finish the job that I paid him for and when I said I would pay him for more mulch, just trying to get my job done, he said he couldn’t come finish it unless I paid for the mulch in advance. Why would I pay someone in advance who already didn’t hold up his end of the job that he priced? Just be aware that if you need more than clearing of a yard or property done, you may want to use someone else or be prepared to pay more than he originally quotes for a job. Just not the professional I was hoping to do business with. Now I have to hire a real professional to finish his messed up work.

We just recently switched landscapers since we where very disappointed with our current vendor. When JLS landscaping came to do our yard I was very impressed with the quality, attention to detail and honest pricing. The job was so good my Nextdoor neighbor switched. I can not be more happy with the results and work. I would give 10 stars if I could.
