So I think the place is pretty nice but they insist on nickel and diming you once you’re there. Extra for the little skate helpers for kids trying to learn, like $ 10.00 extra. Extra to play later tag, extra to bring a parent on an event day, even if you aren’t skating and just watching your kids skate. All you can pizza nights are fun, except they can only push out one 8 piece pizza every 10 minutes, which means you cannot really get anything to eat without spending the whole night in line waiting to eat instead of skating. Somehow they cannot figure out a way to make their events any kind of experience I want to repeat. So basically, I like the place but they run it crappy.

I love this rink and the staff who run it however, they have SO much potential to do more with this place event wise. Adult night is usually dead except for a few regulars. I feel it’s the same music they’ve been playing since the 80s that’s driving the younger adults away. I have friends who won’t skate on Wednesdays with me because they say it’s «all old people and they play bad music.» It’s unfortunately true :(The good news is, the DJ is really sweet and let’s you request songs and he usually plays every song I write down. :) They also resurfaced the floor recently and it’s absolutely gorgeous! The finish is sticky. I’m 5’3″ and weigh 116 pounds and need to skate on 95 or 98s to get a little slide. I love sticky floors though and this is one of the fastest wooden floors I’ve skates on. :)

I grew up with birthday parties at the Hadley location, but finally got to this one. I totally forgot how much fun it is. This place seems well run, and it was a blast from the past. I would review it higher but I know the Hadley location has a cooler track; this is more of a rink.
