#900 Review# Wife and I decided to take our foster kids out to Wickenburg for their last day with us. Knew a few restaurant that were really good. But sadly to say when we got their, they were all closed down! So I noticed Ike’s. Parking and entrance was in the rear of the building. When we entered, there is a sign that tells you to go left. Just follow the hallway and you will get to the dining room. We ordered: Bowl of chili Three kids cheese burger Pulled pork Garlic fries Three single scoop of vanilla ice cream Slice of cherry pie Kids enjoyed their burgers, wife likes her pulled pork. I took a bite and it was really good. My bowl of chili was ok, it was almost like a bowl of pinto beans. However the overall experience was enjoyable. As long the kids and wife enjoyed it.

The prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly, and the french fries were great! Kid-friendly and clean. We’ll be eating there again!

We stopped in for a couple beers and an appetizer. Beers were reasonably priced and the chili cheese fries were great. The staff was friendly and laid back. They have a quite patio in the back that was good spot to pass some time. I’d recommend giving this place a try.

My spouse and I took a scenic drive one Thursday afternoon to Wickenburg from Phoenix. We stopped in for lunch at Ike’s almost at random, after overhearing one of the local residents on the street remark to another that it was the«best restaurant in town.» I would have to characterize the menu as a very basic, bland and uncreative list of café dishes. I ordered the chicken fried steak sandwich while my husband had the patty melt. Both meals came with fries, which were homemade from fresh raw potatoes but so greasy they left a layer of phlegm in the back of my throat for a couple of hours. And though our waitress raved about how good their chicken fried steak was, I found mine to be tough/chewy and not very flavorful, and my husband’s patty melt tasted like you’d get at a school cafeteria. The service was friendly and the restaurant was relatively clean, but I hardly see a return trip here except maybe for a standard egg ‘n meat type of breakfast.

Tried ikes for breakfast. Service was OK. The food was really pricy. It took almost leaving to get information on that there were kids meals. Food was bad, over cooked mostly. Burnt bacon that tasted like charcol. I’m not going through the rundown of everyone’s flawed meal. Family of four left with a 42 dollar tab. So no I will not go back.

Drove up from Phoenix for the day. One friend had been to Anita’s Cocina — and wasn’t particularly impressed. We asked a couple of locals and they agreed the second best — after Anita’s was Ike’s — across the street from Anita’s. We got to Ike’s about 11am and the place was empty, but as it got closer to noon, more people did straggle in. I ordered the chili — which wasn’t bad, not really what I think of as chili, but okay. Pinto beans, very little tomato, but okay. I also got a pancake on the side — it was big — full plate sized and edible — not bad, but other than that. .. definitely not worth $ 4. One friend had biscuits and gravy and corned beef hash. She didn’t particularly like the biscuits and gravy but did eat most of it, ate very little of the corned beef hash — didn’t like it at all. Other friend had chili dog with fries — enough fries for four. The fries were okay. She said the chili dog was okay. Service was friendly and pretty good. Better than the food. Next time — Anita’s.

REALFOOD!!! So much better than any chain diner like IHOP or Denny’s. Great food, friendly service, and good prices. Couldn’t ask for anything more

Great food and good service. Huge steaks. They had a 16oz prime rib special for for $ 22. They also have a full bar. Don’t let the sign on Hwy 60 fool you. The restaurant is behind the building. They have both inside and outside seating.

Had lunch at Ike’s Gold Nugget on Wednesday, April 1st. This is a great place for Wickenburg and the setting was the Wickenburg Way! The food was very good. We ordered Onion Rings, which were huge and tasty! I also ordered the Chili! My friends had the special-Pork sandwich with French fries-and the Chicken sandwich with Cole Slaw. I was happy that I had to put my own salt on the onion rings and chili. With all the over salting of food today that is not good for you, we prefer to add our own, if we want. Thank you Ike’s Gold Nugget for allowing this! I have a comment about another comment that was made. The tables with drink mats to steady the table is not the owners fault. The floors are probably uneven because the building was built many years ago. If you want a great breakfast, lunch or dinner, eat at IKE’S GOLDNUGGET!

Saw a big sign driving to Vegas. Tried of seeing all the fast food establishments Wanted local flavor and see local people Can’t believe I am the first one. Old western flavour — Ike’s Gold Nugget Wooden pine booths Traditional fare for all meals. ½ people with caps or cowboy hats local people Food that is familiar Beats the plastic food that surrounds this town
