I am in town taking care of my mother. My son wanted to send me something for Valentine’s day. He placed the order through 1−800-FLOWERS. He wanted same day delivery, so he paid the additional cost. I did not receive the flowers on Valentines Day, received them the next. Very beautiful arrangement. Sent pic and thank you text to my son and he said, that is not what he ordered. I said, you need a refund. He called them and they asked him if he would be okay with a 50% refund. He said no. Nothing about the order was correct. They reluctantly gave him a full refund. I received a phone call from a gentleman and was told that they were coming back out to Derby, KS to pick the flowers up. WTH. Where was the apology to me and my son… lost in translation, I guess. Suffice it to say, they have lost many potential new customers.

This place is great! We didn’t really price compare but they seemed reasonable enough. What made me choose them is their DIY program — you can design and make your own centerpieces! You buy your flowers from FF at wholesale cost, and then are given free use of their facility for construction and storage. Then the day of your wedding, they deliver your centerpieces for free with the rest of your bouquets, boutonnieres, etc. I am a really creative, hands-​on person so making my own centerpieces was really fun. The day I showed up to make my centerpieces, the florist (I forget her name) showed me my bouquets that she had just finished — the colors were WRONG! I had a bridezilla moment and freaked out, balling my eyes out. She was really patient with me and understanding. She actually pulled the bouquets apart and let me use the floral spray paints to get the bouquets just how I wanted them. In the end, the flowers were GORGEOUS! She is so great to work with I would recommend anyone to go there!
