So, the food was ok once we got it. But we arrived at the end of the evening(I guess?) at 745pm. There was no bread left, and I was encouraged to get the«cajun chicken» on a salad, … a far cry from the shwarma I had hoped for. Although the servers tried very earnestly to be helpful, I was disappointed. I wanted food which I expected to be in line with«Tahini» and«Mediterranean» … not cajun chicken, … which I still ended up receiving, although I expressed a clear lack of desire.

My favorite thing about this restaurant is the customer service all three times I have been. I have enjoyed the customer service and the food definitely can’t complain!

It’s always good to walk into a shawarma restaurant and see that rotating stack of meat slices. Wichita needs more of these types of restaurants committed to making much of their menu from scratch, and Tahini goes above and beyond when it comes to the bread. I’m not entirely sure of the difference between the saj and the pitas that are used at other restaurants, but it made for a tightly-wrapped sandwich, so I liked it. Fresh beef shawarma is difficult to perfect because you have to be aware of the bigger pieces of connective tissue that don’t render while cooking on the spit. As a result, there were a few tougher pieces in my sandwich, but it was otherwise fine. They do go heavy on the mint, even in the sandwich, though I liked the slightly off-kilter balance of flavors it provided. If this was Turkey or Lebanon, it would probably be some crappy frozen fries that would be served as a side to the sandwich, so in that respect I’m glad the potato wedges are made fresh. From most other perspectives, the wedges seem out of place — the slices are not very thin at all and not roasted at a high enough heat to created a crispy texture, so I’m just biting into a quarter of a boring starchy baked potato. It would be nicer to have the option of a rice and lentil dish, or tabouli, or just stick with a side of hummus or baba ghanoush so you get some more pita. The reason other reviewers have mentioned the bland hummus is because it needs salt. Compared to Meddy’s — the only other restaurant to bring a modern take on the Lebanese food that has been a part of Wichita for so long — Tahini does enough to differentiate itself, but not quite enough to provide a superior experience in those things they do differently. Still, the overall package is very appealing, and they’re worth the stop for your shawarma fix in Delano.

I’m glad to see another gyro place open up in town. We had the gyro, beef schwarma, fattouch salad, and hummus. The gyro meat was full of flavor, but it was difficulty to eat because it wasn’t wrapped well. The schwarma was ridiculously dry, and I only had a couple of bites. The fattouch was the worst I’ve had; way too much mint and everything else was too bland. I’m pretty disappointed with this place.

My wife and I tried it for lunch. It was very good. We each chose something different so that we could taste more than one dish. The chicken shawarma was better than the beef. Overall, cool place to eat.

Quick and good menu-hummus is a good quality– they ask you to choose the oil flavor on top but I found that the hummus was a little bland.

Was good but not enough for the price. Add a bag of chips for that price and this would be a great lunch options. Not sure that would a good dinner meal unless you do not eat much.

Do not order the fattoush salad if you don’t care for mint leaves. It was very over whelming. I Love fattoush salad and this Is the only place I didn’t like it at all. Gyro on pita was good. Soft pita. Tasty sauces! Loved the garlic sauce and saratahini sauce. I dipped both my gyro and potato wedges in them.

First time here, but have had lots of Mediterranean fare all over the U.S. Hummus was unusual, a little bland. Gyro with garlic sauce on pita was overall pretty dry due to an extreme lack of sauce and not-quite fresh pita bread. Gyro meat was good, but just not enough of it in the sandwich for my taste. Staff was friendly and the restaurant seemed clean and maintained. My wife previously had a chicken shawarma on an separate visit which she liked, but had dry pita bread on her gyro on this visit. Love Mediterranean food, so we’ll give it another try sometime.

disappointed. ordered a beef schwarma on a pita, with no onion or pickle(only mint, tahini sauce should have been on it) to go, got my food, came home(i live 1 minute away) and not only was it cold but onion and pickle were on the schwarma. i hate onion. i had to dig to find all the pieces to take them off, there was almost no tahini sauce, and it was cold. not like, lukewarm, but actually cold. for living 1 minute away that happened rather fast. I was really looking forward to eating something delicious today and instead ended up highly disappointed in my purchase. this is a new establishment, i know mistakes happen but i was the only customer during my visit. more attention to detail should be made when preparing customers food, especially when restaurants that aren’t «chains» don’t seem to do well in Wichita.

What a great lunch spot! Quick personal service and great presentation of fresh food. Fattoush with mint was stunning and refreshing. And the gyro was phenom with the sirrachini sauce. Finished with potatoes and guacamole and it was perfect tantalizing. Just no room for dessert.

Very good and very reasonably priced. My only complaint is too much mint in the salad. Also, you do have to step up to the counter to order your food.
