This is hands down the best Italian food in the city of wichita… authentic food made by Italian people… and the pizza is off the chain. i live in atlanta now but every time i come home marchellos is a must visit for me. Flavor, value, cozy spot, genuine people that let you know they appreciate your buisness… one of my absolute favorite resturaunts of all of my travels.

Worst service ever took 15 minutes to get waiter to take our drink order 15 minutes later we got our drinks and got to place our order 1 hour later we got the food 2 sandwiches 1 bowl of soup and 2 pasta dishes food was ok waiter came by 1 time told us our food will be out soon asked if we want refills we told him yes he went to a different table went and filled the ice machine 10 minutes later got food no refills the food and service is getting worse we will never be back

Went in for lunch today & had a great experience! I had the chicken parmesan & it was great. Not breaded chicken, but sliced chicken breast in marinara. Lunch special came with garlic bread, drink, & one trip to the salad bar.
Be sure to note there are two prices for lunches Regular & Petite. One of the guys at my table only saw the petite price & was surprised at his bill.
Also, as another review here noted, to-​go drinks are an extra $ 1.90.

I love this place! It is our go to for special occasions. I love all the food here! Everything I’ve ever tried was delicious. They are great with customer service. I messed up my order once and they went above and beyond right before closing on a busy night even though I ordered wrong. If you haven’t eaten here, you’re missing out!

Service being slow is a large understatement.
–We drank an entire bottle of wine before receiving our food
— We watched the table next to us get seated after us, receive their food
(4 people), pay and leave… before we received our food.
Food was decent, but good thing we didn’t need to be anywhere quick.

Great food, the service gets a little so when it’s packed. Cheap and easy sit down dinner

Was hopeful after reading reviews but let down again with an Italian restaurant in Wichita. Should have I have known when we ordered the bruschetta and the bread was a half cut hoagie roll with a spread of ricotta cheese and mozzarella on top? The tomatoes looked like they were just cut when we ordered, put into the ramekin and added balsamic-​no oil, no basil… terrible and sad attempt at this appetizer.
Ordered the Lilly and was loaded with sauce and more cheese on top. paid $ 1.49 for artichokes and there was 1 – 2 pieces. it was ok. Husband had jumbo ravioli and said it was okay as well. 2 good comments are that the food was hot (ran through a pizza oven) and they had spumoni ice cream.
Great place for cheep so called Italian.

You get what you paid. You won’t have any meal it taste different than marinera or cream sauce with a ton of mozarella cheese. Even if you order the pesto sauce you will have this «creamy pesto» which is more cream sauce with a ton of mozarella cheese. However it’s a cheaper place and the food isn’t so bad if you are not expecting high italian flavors

Very good fresh Italian dishes and reasonably priced. Service is a little questionable but nice people and the owner seems authentic along with the food.

This is the best Italian food i have ever had, and I’ve been to Italy! I wont be going to olive garden anymore and get «meh» food. This place even has calzones! Only a good Italian restaurant would have a classic such as that. If you haven’t eaten here you better stop reading this review and go there now!

Food was OK. Unfriendly staff, terrible service! After being seated it took about 20 min just to get our drink orders in! Then waited a good 40 min for our food. Giving 2 stars because it was a good deal. But I would def NOT be going back ANY time soon.

Not sure there is a better Italian joint in the city. Reminds me of the old Angelos back when it was in its hay day. Everything on the menu that I’ve tried is awesome. Meatballs, pizza, lasagna, pasta, spaghetti, etc all top notch.

After waiting more than 20 minutes after ordering we finally receive 2 out of 3 of our plates. We were here for lunch so the wait was unacceptable. After another 5 minutes the third plate arrived.
The table we were sat at was dirty. We had to brush of the cheese before we ordered.
The server was not attentive. However he was polite.
The seafood ravioli was just about flavorless. It had no seafood flavor at all. The filling resembled Stove Top stuffing that was pre-​chewed. It was bad enough I sent it back.
The meat lasagna could have been eaten by someone without teeth. It was mushy but was edible, mostly because I was hungry.
The chicken parm sandwich was the best of the three. This is the one that didn’t arrive with the other two. Even though that’s not saying much. It was the first chicken parm I ever seen that wasn’t breaded. All it had was sliced chicken, marinara sauce, and some melted mozzarella. There was nothing on it that even resembled parmesan, by looks or taste. However the chicken was tender.
Then we had to wait for the ticket. We waited long enough for me to write this review.
In conclusion, I’ll never come back here again. I can get better quality out of a can.

Wonderful Italian food! Love the lasagna, baked ziti and chicken Alfredo. We had Marchello’s cater our 300 person wedding reception and dinner — it went off perfectly and people raved about the food! I highly recommend this restaurant and the owner, Mickey. Staff is also friendly and helpful!

Ordered the spaghetti with marinara and it was extremely bland. I feel like the spaghetti sauce I use at home out of a can is even more flavorful at a fraction of the cost. Wasn’t impressed at all.

I am not a restaurant snob nor am I a connoisseur of fine Italian food. My experience at Marchello’s today at lunch was abysmal. The service was very disappointing. The wait staff never checked back with me nor did he seem to care. To top it all off they wanted to charge me $ 2.00 for a to go cup. I asked the owner about it and he wanted to argue with me about the fact that the drink was included in the lunch special so they couldn’t give me one to go.
My chicken Alfredo was good but tasted like the chicken Alfredo at Pizza Hut. Nothing spectacular.
My next Italian experience in Wichita will NOT be at Marchello’s. The sad thing is that I was looking for catering for my job. Hmmmmm…

Horrible, got seated at a dirty table yet the one behind is clean. I sat down asked to be cleaned and moved to table behind. Then the hostess comes back and cleans it and sits another party. All while waiting. And then a waitress goes to that table and ignores mine. Got up and left and glad didn’t look worth it. Gonna go to the pizza buffet next door looked way busier so probably better food.

My family loves this place for dinner – it’s tasty, unpretentious, piping hot, and low-​priced. My husband has never ordered anything but «Tony’s» because he says there can’t be anything better. I usually go for lasagna (it’s traditional and delicious) or seafood ravioli. Son likes the cannelloni. Have never gone to the salad bar – I want to be sure I can finish my entrée.
Our service has always been friendly and quick.

Great place to eat! Wife and I both LOVE the food. The atmosphere was nice. Waiter was very helpful ordering and checked back often. I will definitely be back.

Eggplant rollatini– I can’t even really tell you everything that was in this dish but all I know is that it was delicious. The eggplant was flavorful without being soggy and I was surprised by how much I wanted to keep eating the marinara sauce. The cheese that covered and stuffed the eggplant was delicious as well. Definitely my favorite thing we tried.
Spinach & artichoke dip– it wasn’t bad at all but I’ve had better. Just kind of a basic dip. They also put marinara sauce on the top of it which was weird but not bad. Served with sliced and toasted focaccia bread. I think I would have preferred a less herby and whiter crustier bread.
Pasta salad– I give it a B. Not bad, but not much to write home about (or to write in this review about, bada-​bum).
Chicken caesar panini– okay first of all, their paninis are definitely not traditional paninis. They are open faced, not grilled, and the bread is a thick bun of focaccia. They put so many vegetables on it (cucumbers even) that it was kind of a salad. I loved the smoked melted Gouda and Caesar dressing but I wish there had been more. I paid a dollar to add bacon but it wasn’t freshly cooked, just packaged bacon bits. I was overwhelmed with bread I ended up mostly just eating the toppings off of it.
Cannoli– I have no idea if I just don’t like cannoli or if they make bad cannoli but we were not a fan of it. The ricotta cheese filling was just too chunky and made me feel like I was eating a cottage cheese stuffed hard taco, it had a very unpleasant texture.
We got delivery, we also ordered a side salad and an italian panini but I didn’t try that. It was $ 38 total including tip and delivery fee. Really not a bad deal, and I’ll most likely order delivery from them again when I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to leave the house. They have nothing on places like Bella Vita or Lucianos but I was surprised with how much I liked it, I didn’t expect much. Cool.
