Recently stopped by to look at a used lawn mower. Jim’s had very obviously not spent any time doing even basic maintenance to the mower — when a dealer is selling something it’s a simple expectation that there is some effort put into making sure the machine is brought up to a maintained condition. On top of that, the sales staff had an arrogant attitude and acted like my being there was an imposition and were borderline rude after I made an offer below their(overpriced) asking price, even when I politely explained the numerous mechanical reasons for doing so. He also tried to make a ridiculous comparison to the prices of other similar mowers on the market, however his comparison was for machines with different options that were not remotely comparable to the one under consideration. This was not the worst customer experience I’ve had, but I certainly left with a strong sense that I would not trust Jim’s Auto to have much integrity when it comes to the quality of what they are selling, that they would twist the truth and be deceptive to serve their own ends, and I certainly would not expect much from them in the way of customer focus and service and making the customer feel respected and valued. Take your hard-earned dollars elsewhere and support a business that takes care of its patrons.

Exceptional customer service, the mechanic s working are very knowledgeable. I had my car in for a oil change and was very fast in and out within 30 minutes, they took the time to explain everything and I never felt like a walking wallet.

Just carefully review anything coming off the floor that may have been demoed for another customer. I had a shaft fail(cladding coming off) in my Stihl Kombi Edger attachment. Just a couple months old I think. I am very meticulous about seating my Kombi motor and attachments as this system was a very premium purchase for me. But Parts guy said the failure only comes from poor seating habits, pointing out wear marks that I find later were just grease marks from when I was struggling to attach the edger in the first place. I paid up for the replacement shaft as of course, no one is perfect and maybe I didn’t get it all the way in one time. I’m a little disappointed with my Stihl dealer experience at this point, but still happy overall with the Stihl Kombi system.
