I was previously a customer of this store and enjoyed renting movies. I usually get the cheap ones to save money, and they have a lot of these. My distress, however, was that I checked out some videos the weekend before Christmas, and they told me they would be due back on Friday(the day after Christmas), which made sense. That is the day I returned them. When I returned the following week, I was told that I had $ 8 in late fees, and when I asked what that was for, they said it was the ones I returned on 12⁄26. I said that was the day I was told they were due. They said No, they were due on 12⁄25. I said, «But that was Christmas Day! I wouldn’t spend my time returning a video on Christmas — I’d have brought them back earlier if I had known they were due then.» Their only answer was that they were open(which wasn’t my fault — another reason businesses should not be open on Christmas). Their only solution to the problem was to give me their 50% off«Liar’s Discount.» Since they didn’t accept my word that I was told they were due on Friday, they said they’d only charge me half if I would sign their«Liar’s List»(my terminology, not theirs). I did, but I have been seething about it ever since. They don’t give you a receipt showing when they are due back, it is just your word against theirs and they always win. I have no illusions that they are grieving the loss of my business, but I definitely won’t be back. I’m sure they are proud of the«customer service» in giving me that discount, but that’s not the way it feels to me.

I visited a friend, that moved to Wichita this year, and with a lack of things to do, we rented movies! It’s just nice to see that a video rental store was still open, but this place was packed! They had a great selection of cheesy B-Movies, and thats what we went for. they have an Adult Room in the back, I thought those were a myth.
