Service on my 1st visit was terrible but food was ok. I gave it a 2nd chance and that would be my last chance. Service was the worst and I noticed this with 2 other tables. I was praying that at least the food would be good, so disappointed. You would nt pay me enough to eat there again. I love to cook and eat alot of different places. I tip over the limit always when I get good service. At this place, I feel like they owed me a tip for time n taste buds wasted that I will never get back.

This family-owned spot is our favorite for weekend brunch. The food is prepared by people who know that food is supposed to taste great!

Very nice place. I had the French toast and it was very good. The Chef did a perfect job with the flavoring. I’d recommend this place.

Three of us came here for lunch on Sunday. The restaurant was about half full. It took way too long for somebody to wait on us. The waitress didn’t offer to take any drink orders other than bringing us water. The one drink that we ordered never arrived. The waitress spent most of her time looking at her phone. The food was fair to good. Service was terrible.

I came here hoping for a delicious home style larger breakfast, and that’s exactly what i got. We came on a Monday morning, it was quiet in there and our server was prompt. We had a nice large optioned menu to choose from or build our own. I ordered the Bacon, egg, cheese omelette, breakfast potatoes, and sour dough toast. He ordered the Chorizo breakfast, with beans and rice, flour tortillas. Our portions were very large, great value for the cost. The food did not have anything specifically amazing about it, to boast, except the breakfast potatoes have this seasoning that made it orgasmically divine! I will be returning.

Great little breakfast/brunch spot! In town on business staying in Old Town and wanted to get out of the hotel. Busy place but they were able to squeeze me in right away. Nothing fancy but food and coffee were hot and good. Service was decent too.

Food was awesome and no wait! I don’t give them a 5Stars because of my waiter. She seemed lke she couldn’t cared less about us. When ask for more cream, she took off, we waited and she was on her phone. When she came back she had forgotten that we had asked for cream… Next time, I’ll make sure she is not our waiter.

Egg Cetera is one of my favorite places for weekend brunch. The omelets are amazing, the quiche is delicious, and the service is almost always exceptional.

As most people have mentioned the place is indeed clean and presents with a nice atmosphere. I ordered the Egg Benedict with Canadian bacon. That was just okay. The hollandaise sauce did not have any flavor at all, it seemed like just a gravy on top, not contributing to the taste. The muffin was not toasted which made it spongey and hard to cut. My friend ordered a quiche which was quite tasty. Considering it was unnaturally steaming hot, like it was microwaved. Both came with a side of nicely seasoned potatoes grilled with onions, that was my favorite part of the meal! The service was slow. There was only one waitress running all the tables, but there weren’t that many people around noon. We had to ask for refills of water and to finally have the check delivered. However, when she present at our table she was very friendly.

It is clean and has a nice atmosphere. Props to having real estate in old town. Food came out luke warm. Poor quality ingredients made for low quality food. Biscuit was kinda chewy and hard to cut. The house potatoes were definitely the best part of the meal, however, it was an extremely small quantity of them. I got the eggs Benedict for my main meal. It was not too warm and by the time I was ready to eat the second one, it was cold. It was not very easy to cut through with a butter knife because the English muffin was not very crunchy. We only got one refill on our coffee. They cleaned all the tables off from 5 parties before bringing us the check. I had to ask for a box twice. One thing I will say is that we didn’t realize it was a chain restaurant until we looked at the menu. Go somewhere else and support small business. This chain was just over priced and didn’t compare to the home grown Wichita breakfast restaurants.

The place is growing on me. I’ve had three breakfast meals here now, since one can only eat at a hotel nearby so many times… The Quiche Lorraine is not worth getting in my opinion. It had that«just microwaved» look and soggy feel, coupled with a bland flavor that makes it a great candidate for dropping from the menu or revising the ingredients and cooking plan. The eggs Benedict and the pancakes and muesli parfait are decently good.

Nice ambiance across street from parking garage and Old Tiwn Hotel. The salmon, scrambled egg on a bagel with a side of Waldorf for Baruch was delucioso. Friendly server. Outside patio. Iced coffees. Good value.

Service was really bad. Three staff members ignored is for 5 min to seat us. We should have left. Then service was slow, only one of the three wait staff did any work. The two others were always MIA. While we were there only half the tables were full, but at least 10 groups walked out after not being seated. Three tables waited more than 10 minutes for water or for their order to be taken and just left. The staff didn’t even notice. The food was ok, a pretty standard breakfast joint.

I had the biscuit and gravy combo with bacon. Bacon was good(but seriously… when isn’t bacon good), eggs were ok(ordered over medium, got over hard) and biscuit was ok. Gravy was ok as well. Both needed a little salt. Food came hot and ready to eat. Service was good, but I was one of five in the restaurant. Coffee was ok. Everything was clean. All in all, very… ok. Not bad, not amazing. Just ok. I’ll be back when I’m in the area around breakfast. Probably won’t make a special trip though.

First, I rarely leave poor reviews, but this was too bad to ignore. My wife and I frequent the Beacon for no-thrills hearty breakfast. When I thought of this restaurant, I knew it would be more expensive and expected higher quality. Unfortunately it wasn’t. The meal started off with poor service. When I asked what kind of orange juice, she responded«carton.» When I asked for a cup of coffee instead, it didn’t come with a side of creamer like most restaurants would. Further, the coffee was terrible. A big fancy cup of watered down coffee. She ordered an omelet, which she was happy with aside from the potatoes it came with on the side. I got Huevos rancheros — admittedly my fault. It came with bacon, which no joke was cold to the touch. I asked to have some warm bacon so she took my cold bacon(implying I was trying to scam them out if free pork), and brought out another plate of bacon, this time MICROWAVED bringing it up to temp. Guys, you can get this quality at Spangles. If you’re in the mood for a nicer breakfast, go someplace else.

There are not many breakfast options in Wichita, or Old Town rather, and this is one of 3 I think. It’s better than The Beacon, but the potatoes tasted bad, not sure how though, and the sausage was gross. The bread was not buttered and also didn’t taste right. At this point, I really just think that the food in this city is not good, and the locals don’t notice the odd tastes because they grew up with it. There was also some crazy guy talking to himself sitting at the table next to me.

Egg Cetera is another one of Empire’s Old Town staples, but not situated in the Warren Theater square gives this place more of a homey atmosphere. The lack of a need to live up to the trendy atmosphere of Uptown Bistro, Sabor, and Oeno means that Egg Cetera is offering more common fare, but also with a price to match. I visited the restaurant on a Sunday morning, the very pinnacle of peak breakfast times. As a result, the wait staff seemed to be having a hard time keeping up with the crowd. My service initially suffered as a result, but it was understandable given the circumstances, and got better once the crowd died down. Egg Cetera does not have a lot of space, devoting a third of the restaurant to the open kitchen, and the remaining space to the tables. The waitresses sit at a table near the front wrapping silverware, further emphasizing the lack of space and the homey atmosphere of the restaurant. Even the juices and sodas come from standard bottles in a cooler in the back. Not being a fan of the sweeter breakfast items, I chose to go for the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. While I enjoy the meal, it’s difficult to judge a restaurant on it, given that many of the components can’t reasonably be expected to be made in-house. I mean, it would be nice if the place made their own English muffins and smoked their own salmon, but it’s not going to happen. I can judge the poached egg — which was nice, offering just so slightly runny yolks — and the hollandaise — passable, but served from a chafing dish and was probably of a nicer consistency at several hours before I visited. Many of the meals(mine included) came with their roasted potatoes. Given the importance of the side, I was expecting something more solid than the greasy red potatoes I received, offering a cooked potato with very little flavor aside from the onions with which they were cooked. By far the most disappointing part of the meal. The meal overall was satisfying, but I’m a fan thanks to the price — less than $ 10 with the buck addition for the smoked salmon and another buck for the toast I added on the side. There were some good-looking waffles being transported around, too, though they’re not my thing. No, Egg Cetera is not going to blow you away with their culinary prowess, but it still makes for a fairly solid breakfast joint.
