Doc Green’s

While here on work, I was delighted to find a place that had quite a variety of fresh salads. I had the Doc Spinach which also had bacon, eggs, mushrooms and bleu cheese. I chose to add some steak. It was über fresh and yummy. Of course we can’t be all healthy so I added a side of white cheese Mac and Cheese!

This is what I have been looking for! A place to get a nice SALAD! They have other things, as well, such as Soups, Panini’s, Wraps & a few Hot Entrees. I ordered the Dr Buffalo Chicken Salad and my Daughter got ½ a Sandwich & Soup that also came with a bag of Chips.
My Salad was large and had a nice amount of Buffalo Chicken on it. If I had any complaint, it would be that there isn’t enough Red Onion and Cheese (for my taste) — but I was ok with the amount of Tomato and Cucumber. I asked them to put the Dressing on the side — which they did, no problem. My Daughter seemed to enjoy her meal and commented on how nice the Bread on the Sandwich was.
We bought had their Iced Tea except that I chose the Unsweetened and she got the Pomegranate /​Blueberry Blend. Both were very good.
I am anxious to try some of the other Salads and, once the weather cools more, their Soups. I am very happy to have finally tried this place :)

Doc Greens is almost always me and my boyfriends first choice! The service is always very fast and the staff is very nonchalant but still friendly! The menu caters to any kind of appetite and eating habits whether you’re on a diet or the opposite! My favorites are the buffalo chicken caesar wrap, the fiesta chicken wrap, the Cuban panini and the buffalo chicken salad. I also can’t forget to say that their Caesar salad is literally the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had — including $ 12 Caesar salads from five star restaurants. They are a little pricey but it’s always worth it.

What the heck. I walked in at 10 minutes until they were supposed to close and was told that they had closed everything up and couldn’t take my order. There were people eating in the restaurant and I didn’t plan to stay to eat. My first time here and it’s obvious it’s quick food so why are they closing up shop early. This is bad business. The manager did DECIDE to let me order but then I got to listen to them talking laudly about their personal business as if there weren’t any customers in the restaurant. REMINDER, there 3 other tables of people eating their dinner as the staff and manager played around while cleaning up. Don’t they get paid regardless of how long it takes them to clean up. Cleanup on your own time guys.

Tons of choices and SUPER healthy,
but know this: Order near the front door … then watch your food being made. If you go right to the register like you would think, it messes up everything. lol I know.

The staff seems friendly. The cashier gave us 10% discount for military. The food is good. I got ranchero chicken wrap and was impressed with BBQ chicken. Would ask for no tomatoes next time, they was not good. Broccoli cheese soup in a bread bowl was good.

Impressive salad menu, lot of wraps and sandwiches to choose from too. The food was delicious. However, it was higher priced than most salads. I have a hard time paying $ 10 for a salad.

Awesome customer service! The people complaining about the customer service there are probably the people that normally hate high school/​college kids anyway. I had some kind of buffalo chicken salad and the wife had a beef angus wrap. Place is legit, food was the boom dot com, and we will be back!

I ate here again recently and noticed that some of the bad employees that used to work here no longer do and their customer-​friendliness has improved somewhat. Therefore, I am updating my review and adding a star and a half to my previous review. 3.5 stars.

Zero stars for service. Five stars for food.
I have no doubt in my mind that this is the worst managed restaurant in Wichita. The owner needs to FIRE all the staff and start over. Every single employee that works there (as of June 2013) has a piss poor attitude.
If it weren’t for the food tasting so good, I would have given Doc Green’s on 2441 N Maize Rd. ONE star.

I’ve had Doc Greens twice now, once to go and once dine-​in. Absolutely fantastic both times. I had the Dr. Asian with Salmon last time and it was perfect. The flavors took me back to my time spent in Korea. Service was great as well.

Great selection of food and tasty combinations. Very impressed with the salads. Easy to eat healthfully here. Will certainly go back.

Loud environment and music playing is annoying and adds to the noise. Food was average at best, although the tomato bisque soup was outstanding. Our party spent an average of $ 10 per person for a very average paninis, cup of soup and drink. We won’t be back.

Most people probably come in for a salad, as the name of this restaurant implies that it is probably what they pride themselves in. I have not found a salad that really stands out from the rest except for the Fiesta salad. What keeps me coming back to this place are their sandwiches, wraps, and side soups (tomato bisque, chicken tortilla.) You get the side soup with any sandwich and wrap and it makes for a great combination lunch or dinner. I don’t think there is a sandwich or wrap that I haven’t liked yet. The only complaint I might have is that with the price of their salads, it probably could come with a side soup as well. As of now, if you want a soup with your salad, it is extra.

It was okay. I was really in the mood for a delicious salad and considering they have dubbed themselves «gourmet», I was expecting it to be awesome and was a little disappointed. Lots of choices. I got the Greek salad with the recommended steak to go on top. Not a fan of my salad being chopped, made it too hard to eat. The steak was cooked perfect and had good flavor but the rest of the salad was lacking in the flavor dept. Wasn’t super impressed but I believe in second chances so I’ll give it another go and try something different.

Doc Greens has a great offering of freshly made sandwiches, salads, soups and a few hot entrees. The food is fantastic, but the 8 — 10 people working at the restaurant need to start working together in order to improve efficiency. The past few times we’ve gone, the wait time is usually 10 — 15 minutes (granted it is usually on a weekend).
We watch as our food is made, and then sits and waits for us at the end of the ordering line while the confused person running the register tries to ring up, give drinks to and take food to customers. Meanwhile, the other 8 people in there are making more food that just continues to pile up. Efficiency people… quality control! You’ve got to figure it out!

Meh… it was okay. Kinda lacking in the flavor dept. Id give it another try though
