Dairy Queen Brazier

I’ve been to the North Rock Rd. location in Wichita, KS (K96 & Rock Rd.) quite a few times for lunch. I have had good to very good service and food each time I’ve been there, except for today.
I don’t know what changes have been made there but please change them back. I went through the drive through a little before noon. I would give you the exact time but I didn’t get a receipt. There was no wait at all. Everything was as usual up until I got to the window. First the bushes between the menu board and the window are overgrown enough that they rub against my car. Next when I got to the window the person there was unpleasant, not rude just not nice either. The only thing she said was the amount I owed. Nothing else, just the amount. Then she took my money and after about 30 — 40 seconds she hands me a wad of cash with the change in it. Nothing said just handed me my change. Then when I was trying to get the cash straightened up enough to put in my wallet she hung my drink out the window and huffed as if she couldn’t wait for me to grab the drink. Then I asked for three ketchup packs with the food. She said okay. A short time later I got a bag with two napkins two salt packs a hamburger and onion rings handed to me. The window shut quickly. I looked in the bag and guess what was missing… ketchup. There was not a single pack. So After a bit of waiving another person came up to the window and opened it up and said nothing. Just looked at me. I said I didn’t get any ketchup and that I asked for three. Not saying a work and rolling her eyes she shut the window, disappeared for about 20 seconds or so. Then she came back and handed me 4 ketchup packs, turned her back and walked away. Again without a word. This whole time I didn’t see a single smile.
To top that off the food was sub par this time too. The hamburger was overcooked and smashed and the onion rings totaled 4 rings (every other time I got between 6 to 8 rings), and the sundae was about a third less then ever before.
This is not what I have ever experienced here before. I’m not sure If I’ll be back either. I am not one to complain, but This was unacceptable.

This review is strictly for the ice cream, although Dairy Queen does offer a variety of food items including burgers and chicken strips. Since DQ isn’t something I can easily indulge in back at home, I convinced my aunt to stop by on our way back to the hotel so I could satisfy my ice cream craving. Mmmm… I love DQ soft serve. While this wasn’t the nicest DQ I’ve ever visited, the service was friendly considering I stopped by right before closing and the ice cream was exactly what I was looking for.
