Southern California Material Handling Forklift

One of our forklifts was not working properly the battery had burned out after 3 months of usage and we called the service department and they came to check, before that I had asked if it was under warranty and they clearly said yes! That’s the only reason I had them check it and fix it but guess what? It was not under warranty so we have to pay 3,000 for the service and the part. I am so mad! Besides that they keep coming to see the forklifts to see if they are working properly and they charge $ 139.00 for that!!! We didn’t know why we kept getting statements from them if our product was paid in full.
Now they charge every time they come and revise and make sure property is working right!
I already told my workers to no let anybody inspect the forklift because if not I’m never going to finish paying that forklift so mad and annoyed at this company
And oh I forgot when ever you cal they don’t know anything and they transfer you from line to line NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING!

I would give them one star but they did fix our forklift sort of. Our forklift was over heating and they fixed that but we were told about alot more damage that wasn’t there when it left our warehouse! When it was brought to their attention they said when the mechanic looked at it that the parts were missing. They also quoted us for repairs that we didn’t send it for, and missed alot of things they should’ve been originally looking at! Afterwards they proceeded to nickel and dime us for more money. I told them to make repairs to parts that they said we’re missing (but weren’t when it left our shop) and they didn’t fix it. For example we were told a section of our exhaust was missing, when it was returned… it is now very loud and NEEDS to be repaired. We have had them do ALL of our maintenance but we are constantly being told we are adding the wrong fluid are putting stop leak in. I feel they cause damage to squeeze money from people. At least our forklift isn’t overheating… I’d keep looking for someone else to do your repairs… not these folks.

They will sell you a forklift at a great price. However when it comes to fixing the lift that is under warrantee they give you the run around. Steering axel broke within 6 months of purchase, they came out and the mechanic said he had never seen anything like that, he was 99% sure it would be under warrantee. However he took pictures of the lift and went back to the shop to get part. The service manager called and said they would have to pick the lift up and take it to the shop. Remove all the parts and let me know if it is under warrantee or not. At that point they would fix it and return it. I would have to pay all transport fees and anything not under warrantee. Even if the lift is under warrantee I would still have to pay all transport fees. The job could be done in my yard, but it would be easier on them to do it in the shop. Great I can pay $ 1,000.00 to make their job easier. When ask how long it would be down they could not give me an answer. Heck I can make payment while it sits in there shop. Not good business practices. Buy a lift, yes but say away from service

One of the places I went for Cat, Hyster, Toyota, Komatsu and Nissan Forklifts among other makes for repair parts. In addition to parts they also rent out a variety of fork lifts and carriers depicted on thier website.
Forklifts are crucial to moving material in the recycling industry and you do not want a broken thermostat or worn out seal to delay progress. I called upon SCMH to ship parts to yards next day or for us to pick up same day and never had any issues.
Backorders, on many parts they can have them in stock the next day which is a lifesaver in a busy industry which is not easy on machines. the guys who work at the counter were always great and helpful when we needed to identify parts.
