Shakey’s Pizza Parlor

Very nice I like the remodel looks good I put up some pictures games area so small but nice I’m glad they don’t have the big screen in the middle of the room like they used to. The pizza is good I had the ultimate very nice and the barbecue chicken was great also really really good tasty and of course like always a recipe for the Mojo is still the same of course I will return again the stars I gave is what I think they deserve.

First time back since the remodeling, I like it. I Ordered a family special. The pizza, chicken, and mojos, are still delicious! Thin crust is my favorite! Only thing is this place was a little dirty tho. Busser used dirty rag on our table and over sprayed bleach next to us after the guest left. Horrible. Also the arcades were mostly all out of order. Cool spot if kept cleaner. I have to try their buffet.

Went for bunch a lunch on a Friday. Great fresh food all around. Refills are unlimited with no wait at all and a clean station. Manager went around making sure everyone had a good dining experience and we were provided with a new plate as we took advantage of their delicious PCM. Place is clean, always fresh food, and ample space.

I like how they remodeled the place, looks really good. However, I think the best time to eat here is for their bunch a lunch. They’re really pricey and for the price your paying they don’t seem to give you a whole lot of food. We had an order and was incorrect but the manager with no questions corrected it and brought it to our table. Also, don’t remember having to only get one trip for the salad bar? Thought that was kinda weird. Good customer service overall. But most likely won’t be coming back unless it’s for their bunch a lunch

Love this place! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. Clean and has excellent customer service! Food is always hot and crispy. They always have great deals !

I go to Shakey’s a lot and I’m not ashamed to say so. With that being said, I know what to expect at Bunch a Lunch.
It was my first time at this location and it was not a good experience.
There were not a lot of varieties of pizza. The thin crust pepperoni pizza tasted like cardboard. The chicken was over cooked and dried and lacked flavor along with the mojos.
And the weird thing of it all was that you have to wait until someone is at the drinking fountain «station» to get/​refill your drink. What the heck?! Every single time I wanted to refill my drink, I had to stand there and wait until a rude girl came out of her hiding and to refill my cup. That is RIDICULOUS. Like wow. Anyways I’ll stick to another location!

Still an old favorite place to go for beer and pizza. You can’t beat the mojos & chicken either! We love to come here and relax and reminisce about the good old days when most pizza places were dine in only. Thank you Shakey’s for never converting and making people get outta the house!

We ordered for a birthday and everything good but the chicken it taste like dirt and really old

Hubby grew up with Shakey’s and wanted to relive his childhood memories… LOL…I’d never heard of Shakey’s Pizza’s and from his description, I was interested, so we stopped in. He enjoyed it, but I’ve had better. I wasn’t impressed. The food was good, just not all that he’d built it up to be.

The front hostesses seemed overworked/​overwhelmed for the brunch hour. The selection of food was mediocre at best and a bit sloppy in presentation. Best part of the buffet was the abundance of mojo potatoes. The server who was dispensing the drinks was awesome with filling your request. The customers who where there are a perfect example of gluttony is all about! People just loaded and loaded with food like there was no tomorrow. It was rather kinda disgusting… Less food people and more activities /​gym time! If you really want my suggestion… Go to the shakeys on Whittier in La Habra… .clean and great selection of food!!!

Visited the Whittier Shakeys with my husband, daughters, son-​in-​law, grand-​kids for dinner. I LOVE Shakeys pizza and I have visited a few other Shakeys in Pico Rivera, Norwalk, El Monte, Hollywood… all great restaurants with NO complaints. I was expecting a restaurant style dinner that I was used to from all other Shakeys, complete with pizza delivery to our table, condiment shakers AT THE table, mostly unchipped beer glasses, and a fairly relaxing ambiance, and of course their quality pizza… not alot to ask for on a slow Monday evening.
However, I was extremely disappointed by the difference between THIS Shakeys in Whittier and all OTHER Shakeys. Immediately upon walking in you notice a big difference.
It seems the owners of this Shakeys are very cheap! You do not have access to refill your own drinks at the fountain, here, you have to walk up to the counter and wait to have a staff member refill your drink. The pizza isn’t delivered to your table either, your number gets called out from a loud annoying speaker, then you pick it up yourself.
They also do not provide Parmesan and chili pepper shakers to keep at your table, you have to walk up to the counter and have a little ketchup cup filled… makes it difficult to shake it on your pizza from a little cup.
Every single beer glass was chipped, EVERY SINGLE ONE! The salad bar was at least 3 – 4 times smaller than the other Shakeys.
The game room «sucked» according to my kids & grand-​kids.
The pizza was overcooked too, it cracked at the bottom and pieces fell off. The underside of the pizza was a little burned with blackened parts and it didn’t have enough cheese, the bread bubbled through alot of the cheese. The mojos were way undercooked.
I don’t mind paying for quality food. We spent around $ 125 on a very disappointing dinner.
The lighting was bright, glaring. The flooring is light colored tile, no carpeting like other Shakeys to help keep the noise down so even though there were not alot of customers it was loud, noisy, felt like I was inside a busy Kmart during the holidays.
I saw ONE TV, it was so small and we didn’t have a good view of it from where we sat, the décor needs some serious updating and some big screen TV’s.
The young lady that took our order was very nice, very professional, very knowledgeable, and prompt in taking our order. The restaurant was clean. The busboy did a great job bussing the tables. Food was ready fairly quick…15 minutes.
However, I will not be back to this Shakeys.

Condition of the restaurant is clean and picked up immediately
Restrooms have that, «can’t get the pee smell out».
Staff is okay, nothing over the basics of their job
Pizza is good, but nothing amazing.
Mojo’s are always good but the proportion are very little
Chicken has a chicaron taste to them. Bring me some lemon and salsa…
No, «all you can eat» for the salad! Plate is too small
$ 50 dollars, was too expense for this dinner. How they think the #2 will feed 8 people makes no sense to me. All in all, 2 stars! Nothing special about this place. I can’t the same food and service for less.

Pizza is delicious… Ordered a pepperoni on original crust. Super tasty. The mojos on the other hand, very disappointing. So much oil was still drenched in every single one. Couldn’t really enjoy them. On the bright side, they had Mr Pibb which the location near me doesn’t have.

Shakeys is a place that always seems to be great! Got a small pizza with extra cheese and paired it with some mojos! Its the best, their mojos are simply delicious!!! This location always seems to be a bit louder tho than some other locations ive been to, but its worth it

I’ve been to most of the Shakey’s in SoCal and this place has the best Mojos hands down. Pizza and chicken are good and even better during happy hour but the Mojos are the bomb!

I remember going here since we moved to area when I was five years old… and it was so cool, piano playing, lots of families hanging out, & I don’t remember, but it was quite the experience as a kid leaving the 70’s & going on to the 80’s.
Anyhow, went back there to have a pitcher of beer and chill… I must say it is still nice, you have a lot of families going there (especially after games), you can’t beat pizza & mojos (and beer)…the brunch o lunch is aight… not quite the same as back in the day, but for today’s time, the price isn’t too bad…
For the adults, come here for the pitcher of beer & mojos…

This was my first time at shakeys in probably 13 yrs. I stopped by here to meet a friend and pick up some money. He offered to buy a pizza so I figured that the hell, I will eat some.
I wasnt expecting anything great and I didnt get anything great. This is a great place to bring a little league team and thats about it. As far as the location and service, nothing wrong with it. I gave it 3 stars because anyone that comes here knows what their in store for and there are no expectations of great pizza, but I could see why you would come here if you have kids or something along those lines. This is not my cup of tea but I didnt think the pizza was awful
