Salon Montage

Wow!!! Of all Salons in the beautiful city of Whittier and I pick this one thinking I’d like to give them my business only to find out that they have 3 stylists in Cancun and can not make me an appointment for Saturday… and this is my fault cause, why??? I give them 1 star for at least answering my call. Good luck Salon Montage! I will take my business elsewhere.

Taylor — he’s really good with color /​be prepared to wait but that’s the same with all good salons.

First time here I absolutely loved my experience here! Taylor did my hair in less than 20 minutes and I loved it just style/​blow dry… Thx Taylor AMAZING!

I LOVE SALON MONTAGE! Literally, the best service and most energetic and courteous staff. Taylor is a gift of the hair gods– he has taken me from crazy troll to glamour goddess more than once! Love love love this salon!

The salon montage is a decent salon. Nothing special about it. Do not go to Sharon the stylist. She is rude and not accommodating at all. I asked her for an appt, a day before just for a color and style. She stated ok see you the next day. I stated ok.
I showed up as per my appt time. The lady did my color but made me wait for 2 hrs while she took another lady to blow her hair and cut and style.
Not once did she say I will be running late.
She chated with her friends and the other stylist were done with their clients. She is really rude!. you can’t really tell her anything. She apparently does not care for the customer or the money the customer pays for service. Be careful about montage. She is old and cranky. She needs to retire or go somewhere else. I doubt the owners of the salon will do anything about her attitude.

Went in a little less than a month ago for a brazilian blow out. Cute place but not the place to go for a brazilian blowout. Since the person who usually does my brazilian blowout moved away, I was forced to find a new place to get it done. I came here because of the stellar reviews. Though the lady who did my hair was nice, she did not do a great job on my hair. In the past, after the blow out, I had been able to just blow dry my hair and flip in the ends with a flat iron. My hair would be straight and there would be no frizz even in humidity. Not this time. When I blow dry my hair it is still frizzy and not very straight. Its like I didnt even anything done to my hair. I still have to go layer by layer with a flat iron after I blow dry. If its even the slightest bit humid my hair frizzes!! I am very disapointed! What I think went wrong is that my stylist did not go thouroughly through my hair with the flat iron with the brazilian treatment in it. There is a step in the brazilian blow out where you are supposed to go through the hair with a flat iron to seal in the treatment. It is the high heat from the flat iron that locks the teeatment in. My stylist barely went through my hair to seal the treatment in. She definetly did not go layer by layer. I know I have a lot of hair but it was shoulder length. I cannot believe i wasted my money!!! I had to save my money to get this done!!! I have had the brazilian blow out done twice to my hair so I know how my hair reacts to the treatment. I also take care of my hair by using sulfate free shampoo (I use Pureology). I will definetly be telling all the people I know not to come here for brazilian blow outs!!!

Taylor does AMAZING work!!! My sister walked in an ugly troll and walked out an ugly troll with fabulous hair. I would recommend this salon to anyone who wants to go from an ugly duck to a beautiful swan!!!

Really great place! one of my best haircuts ever! AWESOME!!!

I have been going to Sylvia since 1974. She did my hair for my proms, as well as my wedding. Many happy memories! She has done my unruly hair in so many different ways-​all to my liking. It’s like family when I go, because I have followed these stylists for many years and different salons (^_​^). And yes, they all still look GORGEOUSA! A

I was easily the youngest person there (besides my hair stylist, Renee). If my mom would have come, she would have been one of the youngest people here but don’t let that deter you from coming here and seeing Renee.
I met Renee when she worked at a different salon in the OC and have been following her since. She listens to everything you say and definitely leaves you feeling great. I got a hair cut and color from her yesterday and I got compliments on my hair for the remainder of the day.
Her prices are reasonable and Salon Montage is clean and chic looking. They had plenty of parking in the back. The older customers are super cute to look at too. They obviously love getting dolled up just like us younguns.
I hope that when I’m 90, my 60+ year old daughter/​son is bringing me here to get my hair did. See Renee, you will not be disappointed.

This is a great salon with a very friendly atmosphere. There are plenty of regulars here. They have a very strong clientele. They also do makeup, waxing, and nails.
This is the kind of place where the hairdressers and clients become friends over years of frequenting the salon. You also will never be disappointed with your hair when you walk out either.
They are closed Sunday-​Tuesday.
