Rubi’s Frostee Freeze

I order Delivery like Twice a month & I love it. Hotdogs suck but that’s not something I should order delivery. Everything else so far, is yummy. No clichè, about minimum limit, but come on now guys… spend some money.

The young girl that took our order was so rude. She always has a grumpy face and seems like she doesnt want to be there. I think thats their daughter, they need to teach her some people skills

Great food!!! Found this plce a couple of weeks ago and i cant stop coming back. The owner its a great host and makes you feel like at home.

Well after 30 years or more i was in area & decided to stop at Rubi’s for a chocchip shake & homeade cherry coke. Ugh i was sooo dissapointed. Did they sell & new original owners name? Man the choc chip shake i was used to had real tiny choc chip morsels & sprinkled on top& the homeade cherry coke was made w coke & they would squirt cherry syrup! Man the shake that i walked out with today was dooo darn thick the regular drink straw was not big enough for my shake to sip thru. I had to wait for it to melt… I will mever return back there again & i will inform family about my sad experience

I loved the banana split, so good. And the tacos are really good just like home. The ladies at the register were super cool, cute dynamic. I think they were related, lol. I’m coming back Monday or Tuesday for the tacos their $ 1.50 whoot whoot!

Every time I come to Rubi’s they have great service. Emily is the one who takes the order and she treats the customer like family. I really love coming here. This is the definition of a mom and pop place which is not out there anymore. If your looking for great food and great care, this is definitely the place to come!

Very good wet burrito. Big and cheap. Stop in here whenever we are in Whittier.

The sad thing I wasn’t even given the opportunity to try the food. Right when we walked into the door we were hosted with really bad attitude by a female employee on the counter too bad she didn’t have a name tag or I would say her name but she was a heavyset sloppy looking girl. She had the worst people skills. As I looked at the menu my three year daughter went up towards her to say hi, and she than slightly touched the back of the cashier machine and the employee yells at my daughter and tells her not to touch the counter because it wasn’t a toy. my daughter immediately started crying. management should be a little bit more critical on the people they employ. They should send her to classes on how to deal with the public. That’s why restaurant owners don’t know why their business go down its because of employees that they hire like her! I hope the restaurant owner takes into consideration this review. Employees like that dirty the image of businesses and makes customers never return

Came here tonight for taco Tuesday (they have the same deal on Monday nights too!) $ 1.50 for hard shell chicken tacos, potato tacos or potato with ground beef. We ordered a couple of each with the hard shell chicken being our favorite. They were simple and hit the spot, plus the salsa was tasty with a bit of a kick. The service was friendly and our food was prepared quickly. We got there close to closing and we weren’t rushed out. We will try to come earlier next time, but appreciate the fact that we weren’t rushed.

Okay so my husband and I decided to stop by and get a bite to eat since we were at Burlington coat factory. I order my food and the very unpleasant cashier asks me if I want a drink and I tell her No. My husband orders a burger combo and the cashier says «if you guys share the drink, I am going to charge you an extra 50 cents» with a nasty attitude and rolling her eyes all up and down. I told her that we were not planning on sharing the drink lady. I didn’t order a drink because I didn’t want to not because I didn’t want to pay the extra dollar. Honestly she looked miserable and seemed like she was hating life and taking it out customers. Oh and she didn’t even bother to say hello or thank you. At this point, customer service was so bad that it doesn’t matter if the food is good or not. Please train your staff to be decent human beings, especially when in the business of customer service. Also, when I was asking her a question about the menu, she was too busy watching Geoperady.

Had a crunchy chicken taco and it was good, but I probably wouldn’t go there again because of the girl they have at the register. She seemed like I was bothering her… no one else was in there. She looked like she hated her job. It’s too bad because my taco was really good, but I’m not going to deal with people who have horrible attitudes. She seemed content to get back to reading her book after I got my food. Lol.

Pretty sure the girl that works there hates her job. She has this look of constant disgust, pro tip don’t eyeball a customer when they walk in, they could tell. Monotone does not equal friendly or interesting or funny or charming. Shakes are bomb though.

RUDE RUDE RUDE!!! they have some sloppy young girl in the front taking your order she’s rude as hell and has no personality… her nails are long and dirty, totally grossed me out… won’t be coming back here again!
If I could give them zero stars I would!

I love Rubi’s! I make a visit here every time I’m in the area. Ramon is very friendly and the food is great. Beef and potato tacos are the way to go!

My family and I come here all the time and we love their chicken burritos. I went in and ordered my usual chicken burrito order with the green chile on the side. The girl working the register told me «my dad doesn’t like to make it that way. The burrito doesn’t taste good when it’s on the side. It’s not that spicy» I have a 1 year old daughter who I wanted to give some of the chicken to and I explained I didn’t want her to eat the chile and the girl continued to tell me that her dog eats it and it doesn’t do anything to him/​her. I’m sorry, but if I’m ordering something and paying for it, it shouldn’t matter if her dog eats it, if her dad doesn’t like to make it that way, OR if it tastes better with it inside. Even if the food is good, I’m giving it 2 stars because I think this is terrible customer service.

Saw the place for the first time at the Quad and I wanted to try it out. I ordered three combo’s and 1 item for one of my picky eaters. The lady at the cashier taking the order made it a point that if she saw me sharing a drink, she would charge me to refill it. I don’t know what type of clientele they normally serve to in order to make such a nasty comment. I asked for a side of bbq sauce and the same nasty lady said she would have to charge me 50 cents for it or I could trade my ranch for it. I will definitely not be coming back. No sense of customer service.

My favorite!!! Love everything here but my fav is your avacado cheese fries! yum! Been coming here many years.

I’m addicted to their potato tacos and fried burrito. I was unsure of this place at first but every time I go in there it’s clean and my food tastes delicious. I bought my parents some potato tacos the other day, just so they could try them out and they loved them, they loved it so much they went back twice in one week to try their other stuff and they enjoyed their food. I don’t know what those other Unilocaler’s had to eat over there but the fried burritos are awesome and the potato tacos are delicious.

I was leaving Staples during my lunch hour when I realized I hadn’t eaten yet. I glanced over and saw Rubi’s. There was a sign that said something like modern authentic Mexican food or something. Although I’m not Mexican, I grew up in Southern California. So I have a better idea about Mexican food than my friends in North Dakota.
So I went in and asked where the tacos were on their menu. The older gentleman at the counter said they were $ 2.49 each or something. I had an inquisitive look on my face. He says, «Oh, but our tacos are big. You can order two and be full.» So I ordered two. He said my choices were beef, carnitas, and chicken. I said I’ll try the beef.
And this is where I should have walked out. He asked me if I wanted hard shell or soft shell. Really? Are we at Taco Bell now?
He was right. They were big. They came with shredded lettuce and shredded cheese on top. That’s it. I asked if they had onions and cilantro. He said, «No, but I’ll give you some hot sauce.» So I took it. The sauce had no taste … just like the shredded beef. I tried putting some of the spicy yet tasteless sauce on there to at least give my palette some sensation.
I will never go back here again.

My mom and my brother had always gone to this place so I decided to go with them about a year ago. I went and I have been happily satisfied ever since. I usually will get the carnitas nachos which are muy bueno!
Also, my brother gets the house quesadilla there and its definitely something that you need to try before you die! Its super yummy, more like a burrito than a quesadilla if you ask me but it is delishh!
