Joyland Nursery School & Kindergarten

We had a bad experience at this school. My child was asked to leave because he cries too much and has become a nuisance to the other classes (yes she called my 2 year old a nuisance) I thought this was weird because he does not cry at home like the way they were explaining. The Director is very rude and needs to learn how to talk to people. My Child’s teacher was not friendly or loving towards him. It seems that they work for the pay check and their passion is not the children. Every day she had a complaint about him.
I was very disappointed with this school. While I was at home one day my son spilled his juice and came to tell me, when I went over to clean it up, I turned around and he was standing with his face in the corner of the wall. I asked him what he was doing and he said I’m sorry I spilled the juice. I said it’s ok it was an accident. He asked; can I go play now? He also would put his toys in the corner saying they were in trouble. WTH is going on over there? He’s a child not a robot! I’m glad he’s out of there, total blessing in disguise!

Well so far, everything has been well for me and for my 2 year old, she love it here, her teacher is kind and nice, the only bad experience that I had here was a really rude phone call from one of the staff members asking me for diapers for my baby, I understand that is my responsibility to bring diapers and keep it coming but she was really rude when she ask for it. Besides this joyland has been a great place

By far the people here at this school are the rudest I have met. The 1^st time I visited this school, I asked if they have bilingual teachers, since my son only spoke spanish at this point in time. I mentioned to her that I am completely ok with him learning english, but if he were to ask somebody for something, I wanted to know if someone would understand him. The lady (who has a heavy accent) replied in the following manner: «This is America & everyone has to speak english. But yes, our most of our teachers are bilingual.» I kindly replied that I AM FULLY F’ING aware of the country I am in (I mean since I was born here), but if my son were to ask for a glass of milk, would someone understand him?!! So here is strike 1.
Strike 2: I just called to check up on the tuition rates, because I had not remembered what they were. EVERYWHERE I HAVE CALLED HAS ASKED ME THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS: Age & is he potty trained? So when I called here (Joyland), I asked the following: «Hello, I’d like to know what the tuition rates are for a potty trained 3 ½ year old?» What was her reply: «(laughing) I would hope he is potty-​trained especially since he’s almost 4 years old.» Wrong time of the month lady, because this was my response: «Listen lady. I don’t think this is a laughing matter. I know a handful of children, especially boys, who have been potty trained between the ages of 3 – 4, who are completely ok.» Then she says that she has NEVER encountered this & it was most definitely her 1^st time hearing about this phenomena. My final response was, «well have you heard about manners & ethic when answering calls, especially if you’re supposed to be the director?! How about you take some courses on proper etiquette, which I’m pretty sure you were supposed to learn 30+ years ago & then you could come & teach me about the protocol behind potty training toddlers.» (This was all done in a business manner tone, but I pretty much told her to shove it). (smh).
