North State Masonry

I can’t offer up enough praise for North State Masonry. They put a paver walkway in for me that was part of a larger landscape project. The greater landscape project could not progress until the walkway was completed and they pulled out all the stops to complete their portion quickly. I have experience with many paver projects done for me in the Bay Area and I was most impressed with the quality of their work. Howard, the owner of North State, is a quality guy that does everything he says he is going to do and more. That is a rare quality these days. He had to send his crew back to my project to lift off some pavers to repair a damaged irrigation pipe, and replace the pavers. He got this done in one day so that the landscape project could proceed.
I highly recommend Howard and North State Masonry.

Howard, the owner, is a great person and he and his employees are hands down the best masons in the Redding area. Every project of theirs that I have seen is as good as it gets. They are true artists and take pride in their work.

After several years of designing, planning talking to and getting estimates from various contractors, we decided on North State Masonry for the renovation of our mound area including the demolition of a falling down root cellar, reshaping the area and construction of new retaining walls. We chose a particular color and type block they were familiar with but had not worked with before. But they found it for us, and did an excellent job installing it. Their crew was very competent, friendly and dependable. They worked well with our landscape designer. And despite all our planning, things changed as we went — and they did an excellent job working with us to make changes and accomplish a final product that we are truly pleased with. The project was also brought in on time and within budget. We are glad we chose them for this project and would choose them again for a similar project in the future.
