Regency at Whitmore Lake

Do not allow anyone you care about go to this place. It is the scariest version of an old, depressing nursing home with horrible care. My loved one died after being rolled off of her bed there. This was her second injury directly related to staff not following protocol in 5 weeks there. When I spoke to the nursing director about these incidents I was told they didn’t report these types of injuries to the state because they resulted from accidents, not abuse. Licensing with the state told me that this is nonsense and they should be reporting all injuries caused by staff. At the hospital they found she had a horrible gastrointestinal infection that she got at Regency and had to be in quarantine for the rest of her short life. After telling others our experience several others had horrid stories about injuries sustained there– dislocated shoulders while turning & family being ignored. Regency should be shut down. Don’t even visit.
