Went in to find a sweater, found one and tried it on, and the tag ripped off. It actually fit pretty well, and was only 3.99 so I took it up the register to purchase it, and the woman said I had to get it «Retagged» in the back because it ripped off. I walked to the back of the store and the woman went into the back room and came back with a $ 39.99 ticket on it! I told her that the tag had just ripped off, and was in my hand, and she goes, «Its a very expensive sweater.» I went to go look at some other things after I told them I didn’t have $ 39.99 to spend on a sweater, which is why I came here. I started noticing the prices. I’ve been going to this place for a while now, and ive never seen anything like it. Most everything in the store item was is $ 99.99 or up, and the beat up couches they have for $ 399.99 or higher! What kind of place is this! This is a DONATIONCENTER to help those who are less fortunate than others. I don’t have $ 399.99 for a couch, but If I needed one and was looking for a place for my kids to sit I would expect to find a decent one at a decent price at the Salvation Army. Not anymore! Super satisfied with this great, hidden find. Not only is this the best Salvation Army Thrift Store I’ve been to(the only one was in Norwood, now closed as of August 2014), it also has better prices, and a much better selection of products. There is aisles and aisles of clothing, litterally 60% of this place is dedicated to clothing! Furniture is also pretty good, definitely not the best out there, but not bad for the Salvation Army! Electronics isn’t great, only a few items… and an old-school overhead projector! WOW! They also had some jewlery, tons of VHS’, DVD’s, and lots of kids & adult books. Only complaint is the scarce electronics section and tiny, dirty men’s fitting room. Other than that, this is a great place to find some cheap, great stuff.

After moving to the area and seeing the other review I was excited to go check out this store. i was looking for any sort of wall art. Let me tell you, though it’s a decent size, the home goods area is paltry at best. There was nothing but metallic framed 80’s cheap poster-like pictures. This is no great find whether it be for clothing or home décor. I am not impressed at all. I wouldn’t take the 10 minute drive back to return, as it isn’t worth the trip.

Unilocalers, how have you not reviewed this place?! It is one of the best Salvation Army Thrift Stores around!!! Whenever I go to see my mom there is always at least one Sal’s Place trip that is fit into the visit. No matter what, even if I am only there for a day. Sal’s Place is our name for it; it is akin to calling Target Tar-jay. Anyway, this place is HUGE! I have no idea what this building was before it was a Sal’s, I would not be surprised if it was a grocery store or something along that vein. It is so huge that they have far more than just clothes: they have furniture, cookware, electronics, books, records, CDs, jewelry, bedding, bikes, cameras, shoes, fake Christmas trees, home décor, and much more. I have found so many treasures in this place over the years, and I found my holiday outfit for this year here, too. The whole outfit – black velvet shirt and gray tweed skirt – cost me less than $ 10. How is that for completely awesome? I KNOW! The people who work here are always friendly, too. They give me the feeling that I am rummaging through my grandmother’s attic/basement. It is great. There is always plenty of parking and every day there is at least one colored tag that is 50% off. On either Wednesday or Thursday(I honestly forget which day) four, THAT’S RIGHT, FOUR out of the five colored tags that they have are on sale for 50% off. Just imagine how you would feel if you walked into one of your favorite stores and you find out that 4⁄5 of the store is on sale for 50% off! Warm and fuzzy, that is how you would feel, I guarantee it. I don’t want to give the impression that it is a boutique and that you will be waited on hand and foot. That is not the case, it is 100% a Salvation Army thrift store and it has all the trappings that go with that. Things will smell funny, the shoe section will always look like a toddler just played dress up while having a tantrum, the books will never be in alphabetical order, there will be a lot of stuff that you do not(and will never) want, and there will always always always be a surplus of Barry Manilow vinyl records. These are things that you need to be aware of so that you are not taken off guard; don’t say I didn’t warn you. That is why I have given it four out of five stars; in my brain I don’t think there exists a «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» thrift store. So, if you can look past the inherent thrift store-ness, you will really love this place, I promise.
